[Interview] The Most Interesting Man In The World

An Interview with the Great Almighty God of Thunder, Son of Heaven, Destroyer and Recreator of the Universe, He Who Breathes Fire with a Thousand Tongues, the One Lord of all Creation, He Who Possesses the Most Overhyped Name in History, Saviour and Messiah, Complete MLG Savage, Leader of the Greatest Clan in the World™ (HD), and Glorious Undisputed Draconic Leader. aka. DragonofStorms. Abbadoom (some random nub): Considering how all the cool kids were interviewing people, I decided, "Hey, why not?", and picked you, Oh Glorious One. DragonOfStorms (DOS): Sure! I'm a 14 year old homeschooled Christian, and I live in Missouri. I'm a huge fantasy fan, I hope to be an author in the future. I also draw a lot; and enjoy Legos, soccer, playing the piano, and programming. And Tanki, of course. Abbadoom: Alright then. Now we have that out of the way, let's start with your Tanki life - how did you encounter it in the first place? DOS: One of my friends told me about the game. A couple of days later I created an account and started playing. However, I bought all the M0s and made dumb decisions with M1s, so I abandoned it and created this account. Abbadumb: Just like me, except I didn't abandon this account. :P Anyways, what got you into the Tanki forums? DOS: The Newspaper, and then the Off-topic discussion area. There's always been something interesting to do in the forum. Abandon (all hope): Ah, those newspaper updates in-game that pop up when you log in... Moving on, which clans were you in previously, if any, and what hand of fate caused you to create the Happy Dragons? DOS: I'd wanted to start a clan since I was a Warrant Officer 1, but I decided to wait because I had no eSports experience and no members to start a clan. I asked Zenith101 to make me a logo, which I set aside for future use. I joined the clan "Inferno Dragons", which later became clan "SuperSonic". Eventually the leader decided he didn't want to organize trainings and wars for the lower ranked members, so I talked to the leader and got permission to offer a membership to any of his lower-ranked members for the clan I was creating. A few weeks later, H.D. was born. We've grown a lot since then, and we've outlasted SuperSonic - our next major goal is to get to tier 2. Absofdoom (I work out): With all that endless spam? ;P Jokes aside, let's switch the topic. Earlier, you said that you hope to be an author in the future - who inspired you, and could you link the eventual audience to one of your earlier articles, perhaps? DOS: I've read a lot of fantasy books, but J.R.R. Tolkien's Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings books are some of my favorites. The languages, mythology, and history is so detailed that it feels like an actual realm. I haven't really written much here on the TO forum, and what I have written isn't fantasy, so I'm not going to link to any of my articles. Absofsteel (As I said, I work out): I love that series as well, as should everyone else who has read it! As for your articles, you probably should write more of them - they make real nice practice in my opinion. Speaking of articles, what were the best ones so far, in your own personal opinion? In both AWC and official TO newspaper. No bias  DOS: I loved your How2Fiction article. I also enjoyed one of greyat's articles more than most: On The Versatility Of Weapons. Flabbydoom (What kind of mult thought up this name!?): Ah, yes, greyat. A really nice author of guides in the past - wish he would come around more often. I'm flattered. xD I hope you don't mind if I switch the topic to a rather, um, controversial discussion that, even now, is still being conversed about? DOS: No, not at all. Whatever the topic is, I probably have an opinion  Abaddon (THIS ISN'T EVEN MY FINAL FORM!): Alright, here is the above said controversial topic: What is your opinion on the new updates, specifically the gold box supply and paint modules? DOS: Overall, I like them. The developers fixed the only problem with the update, which was the weird kit prices. The gold box supply doesn't really affect me, but overall I think the impact will be positive. Lucifer (Told you!): I see. Well to be honest with you, I was a bit worried when the gold supply was announced, then immediately relieved after I found out it could only be bought with irl ka$h m0niez. I would continue with the current question I asked, but I don't really have anything to reply with, so onward to the final casual interview question: DOS: At the risk of sounding cliched, never ever give up. Set your goals and then achieve them. Ok, enough of the cheesy pep talk. I'll go now. Abbadoom (I just realized this is a great way to sneak in my own messages. Hi Mom!): Sorry I used up your time DOS, and thanks for the interview! Divine OverSeer (DOS): No problem! That concludes my first ever interview. Again, only done because there seem to be a whole lot of them, and I wanna be cool. :c

    What's your favorite number?

    150. I just liked how it sounded and looked. ... And it happened to be the amount of damage a basic hyper beam does in PKMN Soulsilver, so yeah.

PKMN Go actually isn't true PKMN style. I haven't actually played it, but I've seen enough of it on my friends' phones to know. All you do, really, is look around in your neighborhood for Pokemon, and then you walk to them. When you're there, you encounter the Pokemon on your phone and you throw a Pokeball at it, the strength of which depends on how accurate you are. That's pretty much it. No battling except for in gyms, which I find pretty boring.

[A Long Short] Bang for the Buck

~Story inspired by Masquerade - a talented author, go check him out! Bang for the Buck The Lone Ranger does it again. A bank robber thwarted and put behind bars, the locals of a small Wild Western town cheer on the Ranger and his faithful companion Tonto as they ride off into the sunset, a new adventure awaiting them the next day, as always is the case. Hah. In modern 2024 society, nobody is that type of hero. Nobody openly defies the bank robbers, except maybe those foolish and brave enough to try. Nobody has new adventures each day - they're too scared to try. And certainly, nobody lives happily ever after. Except for the fat rich slugs sucking out all of the money from the ordinary Joe's pocket. Well, actually, not quite. That's where I come in. You see, ordinary Joe got quite tired of the posh people collecting money from citizens who can barely afford enough to feed themselves. And so, a new type of person appeared to help appease them for a while. I'm what the people in the slums call, a "Robin Hood" - a guy who assassinates the rich, gives some money and property to the guy who paid me a handsome sum, a little bit to corrupt officials, and keeps the rest. Actually, make it "The Robin Hood". I'm the only one left. Mainly because I killed the others for better business. Nobody's perfect. Actually, speaking of perfection, the current hit I'm working on right now is going along right according to plan. Even though I am in the city's sewers, where half the tunnels are filled to the brim with a toxic concoction of whatever junk the crackheads above are smoking with the usual stuff, and the other half are just empty enough for me to get through without drowning in filth, I'm rather happy. My client, who I've never even so much as met before, promised me a much heftier amount of money than I would normally get on this kind of day, and he asked for only about five percent of the belongings I bring back. Either a family heirloom of his was at stake, or that five percent is worth one heck of a lot of green, because personally, I don't see what the profit is for him, unless of course he really wants this guy dead. The guy in question is a high-ranking official in charge of guarding the blah of the most important blah from His Highness's blah blah. I didn't really read the instructions, I just looked at his face and where to find him, then took off. Come to think of it, I probably should've read the instructions - I have no idea whether to turn left or right at this intersection I'm coming across. Time to use my big city know-how. A quick glance to the left tells me that it's a smaller pipe leading up to several even smaller pipes that lead to several houses and eventually, toilets in above said houses. Looking to the right tells me that people have crawled through that pipe before - it's more used than before, certainly less dusty and grimy, and there is a little graffiti artwork I can see up ahead in the little light I'm given. It's still extremely nasty to crawl through, with the usual rats and insects scurrying away from my presence and the lingering smell of raw sewage permeating the air, but it's certainly better than a few of the sections I had to squeeze past. Several had dead bodies, and a few had live ones. Looks like the mafia bosses are especially active this month. As I go on, according to my instincts, I can definitely sense a lightening of the air - in more than one way. The sickening smells of rotting flesh, human and animal, expired drugs, very expired food, and the usual stuff you would expect to find in a sewage pipe have lessened in intensity, and some smells, like that of gunpowder a few tunnels back, have disappeared altogether. As well, it's definitely become brighter in here, and I can see a maintenance lid that is most likely not used for maintenance. And to add to that, I can hear the faint sounds of idle chatter, occasionally accompanied by a small burst of laughter. It's very likely some head honcho of a local mob with his guards, friends, and, if I'm correct, a certain high-ranking official I was hired to kill. I head through the "maintenance" lid, and, as I expected, it leads to a larger and much, much cleaner tunnel. There are several doors to both sides, but it's easy to know which one is the one that matters; it says "Restricted Access - DO NOT ENTER". Opened up, it leads into a smaller room with a few guards. Easily dispatched. There seems to be a shower in the room, so I strip, let it loose, dry up, and change into one of the guard's clothes. Too easy. The guard even had some perfume and weapons on him, which will help both mask me easier and make the assassination quicker. I put the silencer from my old outfit on the new gun, and off I go through another door. This time, into a luxurious hallway with golden everything. I easily get past a few guards, and although one or two give me a funny look, nobody seems anywhere near suspicious. This mob boss really needs to get his security updated. Oh, speak of the devil. And of luck. The mob boss in question, no doubt the fat man surrounded by guards is the boss, is the same person somebody hired me to kill a few weeks ago. And, even better, he's accompanied by the official I was sent here to kill. I easily blend in with the rest of the guards surrounding fatty and the other guy, and the rest is a blur. Got to the end of the hallway, unclipped and activated a smoke bomb, and with two quick shots to the head, got my money's worth. A quick one-two punch of grenades and machine gun fire get rid of the guards, leaving me free with a few credit cards I will take as payment. Along with a bullet to my right arm and a few landing near where the sun don't shine. But, everything after that is easy - another smoke bomb to confuse whoever survived the first round of madness, and I escaped through a manhole lid, conveniently located above me. A few more shots to get rid of the onlookers, even if there were only three, and I'm off to see the wizard. Or rather, my client. He agrees to meet me in an abandoned warehouse a few minutes from where he lives, and when I open the door, it's clear to me what I should do next. It's obvious. I really should have thought of it earlier before I took this job. I shoot my client point blank in the head. His voice should have reminded me sooner - this man had a kill warrant on him, and I wasn't able to collect it. Until now. So, I take his possessions as well, and get out into the moonlit streets. Another client will be waiting for me. He's powerful, so much so that the law cannot touch him, and the murderous crime lords cannot lay a finger on him either. He's weaved his way into both the criminal world and the justice system, and has made so many allies that his enemies dare not make a move. Only one man has gotten away with it, and I just shot him in the face. Now, I can reap the rewards. The wealth of a mob boss, a maestro's enemy, and a high-ranking official is at my fingertips. But. But I can have so much more than that. I can rise above a life of servitude. And it's actually easy, come to think of it. Nobody knows who I am. Nobody knows where I live. And that will make it easy. Yes, yes it will. As I rendezvous with my client, I reload my gun and place my finger on the trigger.

The first time I've ever seen someone dare kill of Pewds in a story. That part I found very amusing. Great job with the story, too bad it's somewhat short - I rather liked it.

Mistake on my part. :V Sorry about that, hopefully we can still get the meetup going, because unless someone is horrid at math (and I apologize to whoever that is), everyone should attend. :D EDIT: 2 clans still have not responded. One has not directly replied, but their leader got in touch with me. The rest just might be good to go.

Abbadoom here, from HD. This may come as a surprise to you, considering how I said I don't even play Tanki all that much anymore, but I'm considering holding a training tomorrow. With a twist. I'll be copying and pasting this message to all of HD's allies as an invite, for one big friendly meetup. Of course, it will be an actual battle, so DO NOT PROPOSE ALLIANCES WITH EACH OTHER. FREE FOR ALL IS CALLED SO FOR A REASON. Details: Map: Berlin. The player limit will be maxed out to accommodate as many people as possible. Time: About 2 PM UTC -5. It can be moved if necessary. Rank limits: Not sure yet. Please, PM ME IF YOU ARE ABLE TO JOIN. That way, I'll be able to see what rank limits would be best suited for the training. Place: I'm thinking RU8, to be relatively inconspicuous. In case I am absent: If I somehow forgot about this training or I'm away for whatever reason, schedule the meetup anyways. The highest ranked member(s) there from whichever clan will be leaders of the training session. Pro pass: Not required. I'm too stingy to buy one anyways. ;P Battle mode: Deathmatch. Time taken: Maybe 30 minutes per match. If you want more than one match, feel free to have more. Drugging: Drugging is allowed, but PLEASE, please please, PLEASE, do not drug heavily. I cannot emphasize this enough, I do not want anyone to get discouraged because some druggard is picking on them. A few number key spasms are fine, but I will contact your leader if anyone PMs me with a complaint about a heavy drugger. Other notes: Considering the large amount of people, I doubt I will be able to get across any messages in the game chat, so in case a gold falls, it will be a free-for-all. I can't really stop you guys from doing that anyways. In any case, do your best, have fun, and mingle! This is supposed to be friendly - meet some new players!
