Patch Update #439 - Balance Changes, New Alterations and Bug Fixes
Gabe2607 replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
I am actually attacking head-on in Highways :) and hope to find some health box or isida on the bottom floor :D. More problematic is Monte Carlo  (unless one drugs). I took numbers from http://en.tankiwiki.com/Smoky. If those numbers are old, then disregard. And I am using the Alteration to avoid self/splash damage. Without it, Twins is frankly a joke. If one has to stay away from enemies, than better to get other turrets. -
Patch Update #439 - Balance Changes, New Alterations and Bug Fixes
Gabe2607 replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
Let me defend the category here :) Talking about M2 (your level) and assuming TankiWiki is updated, Twins got to arrive to 70m distance to deliver minimum damage (137 HP approx.). At that range Smoky already delivers almost full damage (470 HP approx.). But you can start damage at 125m. At 8m/s it takes 7 secs for the Twins to arrive at shooting range (from 125m to 70m), during which you can shoot 4 times. That is the difference. I started with Twins because I want "contact". You use Smoky to mainly stay away. So if you manage to keep Twins at distance you win. Otherwise not. -
Noob garage? 6xM3 turrets, 6XM3 hulls, 3x3 protection modules... He/she actually did not even gain 1.5 MM crystals from playing yet. Guess heavy Parkour.

Automatisation of gameplay, including... and some examples. The blue sentence shows examples of Automatisation of gameplay :)

It happens rarely (once every couple of months maybe) so it does not bother much. It happened before the changes to the twins as well. The common denominator is "contact with another tank" (in the last two cases, team mates tanks). Unfortunately I cannot add more than that. And by they, not sure the problem is the turret or the hull (Hunter). Got the alteration... :P
-
Hopefully they will block your set of colors too... :P
-
Two different episodes: the one I explained to @CooperO is not the one I mentioned on Feb. 12th.
-
Drove against the shaft...
-
Then I will add that it happened today too. Wave, alteration allowed (no self damage), as soon as I touched my team mate shaft... BOOM: Gabe2607 self destructed.
-
I guess I understand why they do not answer you... :P

If none is reporting or complaining, there is no "sabotage". Then to make a rule on every single possibility (how long can I keep the flag, where can I keep it, what if this action causes a loss or a tie, should someone complain, how many should complain, etc.) is frankly impossible. Should there be a report, decision will be based on the personal opinion of the specific Mod checking the case.

Whatever you say... but could you learn to use the Quote button, like I did?
-
Going easy and fair is always the best. +50% still makes an M1 stronger than an M3. Still totally unfair, but half than today. Of course there will be annoyed players, like there have been for years with the actual system, but we need to raise skills to make the game more interesting. Today I noticed a couple of users doing something really smart... I was surprised because generally it does not happen. For the "WOOOHOOO !!" effect there will be a new button "Activate Nuclear Device" (10,000 crystals)...
-
Wondering how difficult it is to nerf supplies from +100% to +XX% (20% is the general difference between M1/M2 or M2/M3 or M3/M4).
-
Agree 100%. I would love communication and strategy, but even in EN servers most do not understand a word or refuse to communicate anyway. Most choices on RU2. Today I even tried PL server and there were ZERO battles :)
-
Not really my case... Since a bit more than a month, I play no-drugs Pro battles. Not many options there and a 4vs4 on Noise or Polygon is quite impossible to find. Several matches with crazy numbers (4vs0, 8vs4, 7vs2, 1vs0, 0vs0) which I obviously do not join or the ones which are always 8vs8 and I got to keep pressing the button Play till one gets out or to wait till the end of the battle (when often all get out). Before I played for a year all sort of standard battles and I never had the feeling of "organized crime". I still refuse to think there would be so many players wasting time to plant mults in 15 minutes battles... On the other side, once again, I read about tons of users who play between work, school, studies, eating, Facebook, phone calls, etc. You can imagine how constantly active they can be...
-
Impressive :o Sorry, but I am not planning to make a list of Goldbox dispensers, as it would be an additional heavy amount of work.
-
Make sure to let the Forum know when you see a player with zero points and one kill...

Played 1360 hrs and I still do not understand this multing/sabotaging cry for help. Multing (from multi account) supposes to be a "dead" tank inserted into your team by the opponents. I never had that feeling, as I even check the profile of the "mult" to see if KD is very low and is never the case. None logs in and out every two minutes or shoot once to get another two minutes. Most of time "mults" are "sleepers" i.e. users who joined and went to take a leak after, or users that got a phone call, write in Facebook or simply have a bad Internet connection. Had several (former) friends which told me they were eating or working and did not want to exit the battle. They just do not have the "Blood for the Team" spirit I have. I just left a battle on Hill (4 vs 4) because my team mate (a Mod) was keeping chatting with the opponent team rather than playing (and we were losing...). Sabotaging supposes to be hacking. I saw 3 or 4 hackers in over a year. Only one pretty good, the others were "learning" and getting killed. Maybe a form of sabotage is when an opponent comes to your team with the purpose of trolling. Once every... 3/4 months? Somehow I never had this problem, while I see dozens of unskilled (including the "too relaxed") players every day.

There is no "new drug system". The 48 hrs experiment ends tonight and that is it. Till next experiment. But the "drugs on drugs" is not a balanced system, as the average drugger uses 1/1.5 drugs per minute (the ones from missions, playing no more than an hour per day), while the biggest drugger 7. And I am not even discussing non druggers here. I understand there are skills in the use of drugs and I know several druggers are very good players with or without drugs. But the average drugger grows up pretty much with only one mentality: Brutal Force. PS.: one not turning turret should remain at Recruit level :)
-
TO already stated that this modification will not be applied. Other experiments will be made to find better ways to reduce power of supplies in favor of skills. Right now most drugged M1 hulls/turrets have more protection/damage than the same (non-drugged) M4 models. Newcomers quickly understand it, but only the ones with money will enjoy; the others will not think "standard battles are awful, let's try Pro Battles". They will simply not return. Now, we got most players accustomed to drug, either sometimes or all times. So who are the players of non drugging Pro battles? Druggers who try that as well. How is the quality of players in non drugging Pro battles? Several druggers are still really good, but most... oh my... you just never stop wondering how they got their Legend rank. There is a major absence of skills and why is that? Because most users got accustomed to push numbers and rush on a straight line toward the enemy, without really caring about anything else. And there is nothing to laugh because at least half (normally much more) of your own team will be a total disaster too. So let's make sure that newcomers get an initial environment which does not get them annihilated unless they pay, but give them enough satisfaction coming from their growing skills to remain long time with Tanki Online.

The Topic says it all (except the 4x powerful not taking in consideration Health Kits making it 4x∞ + mines). I would like to thank Devs and Community Managers for letting us know that years of fighting drugs (not druggers) "as are" did not go unheard of. Most negative replies basically say: "we pay to win, do not care about strategy and this is our idea of fun. Poor people should go to Pro Pass ghettos and thank us, because with our money we give them a game". I just wish druggers would understand that without "poor people" their score would diminish >4x and soon enough they would leave too for absence of "easy kills". Great 48hrs! Please give us a drug-free weekend too: I was called "whiner/crybaby", but I realized how much I have to learn

What makes you Mad in Tanki? Things you hate/like in the game?
Gabe2607 replied to Ditzy-Dip in Archive
I am not a Gold Digger and actually I get angry when one comes because the whole team will forget the one hour we have been playing and the last flag which will crown the winners (several hundreds crystals more for all) and... I will go for the flag instead, but sometimes two smart enemies doing the same will kill me and cap themselves... However today I happened to be near the gold falling with none around. I easily go on top of it... it does not take it... I go on top of it again and again... nothing! Till someone else picks it up... I guess I hate gold even more now... -
Sure... everyone is going with other turrets requiring tons of skills for minimum performance... Explain me how 1) you flip or push off the cliff other tanks staying 4m away and 2) how you play small space scenarios. Who gets twins loves "contact". It is like to ask shafts to get closer to other tanks before shooting...

LOL... however yesterday I died twice... no splash damage.... simply a good hacker :D He killed me, than I asked: "do it again!" and he did it :( I am guessing the fourth hacker I see in 1300 hours and the only good one so far.
