A Legendary Goldbox, by Fear_Plasma Believe it or not, the utmost amazing gold catch I have ever deemed on myself was just this Tanker's Day (along with 2 other, mediocre catches). How conveniently fresh in my memory! But anyways, here goes the story of the best Goldbox catch in my Tanki Online career: It was already an amazing day, not that any day in Tanki isn't... I had finally gotten my long-awaited Firewall Kit with Firebird and Hunter M2, and I had been using the OP combo for an hour with some friends. But I grew tired of not having any new competition and went on to a real battle with live action, a Rio CTF to be certain... It was an easy battle, and with my new kit I had almost instantly shot up to the #1 spot after capturing 2 flags for the Red Team. As the battle was nearing its end and I was burning Blue team invaders to a crisp like the savage that I am, it happened. The Siren went off. A blasting “noise” (bad pun) in my earbuds; to everyday folks, a siren of imminent danger and disaster; but to us Tanker's... A chorus of prospering crystals. As any quick-witted tanker would, I quickly climbed the buildings past my red flag to a vantage point over the map & almost immediately found the drop location. It was just past the first ramp up from my flag, right next to a Double Damage (which I aptly took). But, it wasn't going to be easy. There were nearly 10 Blue tankers on the ramp to the left of the drop zone, including a fully drugged Isida-Hornet M2 that chased me back to my flag's level. He quickly ditched chasing me when he got to the ramp next to the drop zone, reversed, and jumped up to a little "mesa" above the drop zone slightly higher than it. I noticed the white glow and heard the "trill" of an egg he had laid on it, so no red’s could sneak up on him. Seeing an advantage, I quickly engaged a speed boost and blasted my Hunter to his little table above the Drop Zone, just missing his mine, and unsuspectingly pushed him off... I was saving that mine for about 10 seconds down the road. I was quickly met with several Freezes and Railguns pummeling me with their oil-thirsty turrets, jealous of my position... but my Hunter could take it for a bit. I knew i couldn't heal just yet. Then, the box of 1,000 beautiful crystals began to float to our disposal. No matter how many times I will see a goldbox, the beauty of it always makes me as excited as if the Tanki gods (or a kind buyer) have bestowed upon me the gift of eternal life. I was almost to the point of destruction when the gold box was just barely above the tanks piled up above the dropzone.. When it was time. I quickly healed and ran over the mine belonging to the now-flipped Isida, which sent my Hunter jolting upwards, while simultaneously a frantic gold-happy M2 Hammer shot my hind-end, trying to make me flip. But luckily, this made it an even cooler catch as it caused me to do a full 360-degree turn to the left into the gold box just above the other frantic tankers, nearly 15 tanks to brag... But it was a short lived burst of glory, as my tank spiralled above & past all of them and below into the ally, landing upside down on top of a Double Armor box. I quickly pressed delete and chatted “yesssss” as I self destructed, my heart racing for being filled with confidence and joy. Some were saying “what a catch” and “wow..” while others (and much more prevalently) were filling up the chat with words such as “hacking noob,” “jump hacker” and many, many asterisks that I won’t bother to mention. It was by far the most amazing gold box catch I had ever partaken in myself, and I hope that you all enjoyed it too! 3 Options: 1- Get M2 Isida & M2 Hornet in upcoming sale, then around Major purchase M2 Fire 2- Wait out saving 70k cry for Minotaur kit (I have 90k) 3- Wait out saving 50k cry for Ram kit ^ , which I can get probs 1st time the kit comes around at Captain The question is, should I wait out a kit and continue surviving on my M1 twins, rail, dict and hornet, or within the month (Tanker's Day Sales) go with option 1 (as long as the sales r 40-50%)? Getting Minotaur will cost me 160k, Getting Ram will cost me 140k, and getting option 1 will cost me 165k (including the firebird later) I got the prices of the kits from the wiki page ( http://en.tankiwiki.com/Product_kits ), and the minotaur & Ram kits don't appear to have modules. Will it stay this way? Because if it doesn't and their prices go up, I'll go with getting M2 Hornet, Isida and Firebird can someone also tell me how to use a spoiler?

But when the game comes out, will the developer be identified? Otherwise, I can't download it.

Twins M2 or Firebird M2? Which is better, and which will last farther into the higher ranks?

Thanks, I need to get an M2 to go along with the Hornet M2 I will purchase that will last me till Major so I can get Firebird M2, because I won't make it to that rank on my M1's without some struggle and dropping of D/l. Thanks for the advise, now I know what I will get.

Will the game be playable on a browser (such as chrome) eventually, just like TO? Or will I always have to download it and open a different application? If so, will the developer be identified eventually, because in my settings my mac won't let me open anything from an unidentified developer, and i can't change it because i am not the administrator of the computer. TX is from an unidentified developer...

Isida m2 or Freeze m2?

Hey Tankers, would it be a good decision to get Hornet M2, Freeze M2 and an M1 close-range module (Probably with protection against Isida and Firebird)? Would this combo last me till Major (Would probably switch to Firebird then)? I would plan on getting it at 50% off on the predicted Tanker's Day sale in September, and I have about 95k now. Any thoughts? I am open wide to advise.

Would appreciate a section about DM Tournaments in Game modes, and if it isn't already there, could I be directed to where it is? The update has been open to WO1-Generalissimo for a day now, but Generalissimo's have had it for a couple days now, so it would be nice to have an article on them :D, but no rush as I understand people have to write these. I would like this in Wiki because I don't really know how the rating system works, so a explanation of it like what is a good rating, what is a bad rating and what the average rating looks like would be appreciated. Tanks, and no rush!

This isn't really possible with the scope update, not only would it get in the way of the laser, but it would make the shaft community madder than it already is at tanki for nerfing shaft as thid would give the player away even more easily

Same as him ^ I don't think the Railgun guide (http://en.tankiwiki.com/A_guide_to_Railgun) is detailed enough. Please make it more like the Firebird guide (http://en.tankiwiki.com/Firebird_guide). Please make it more of a guide, not 90% history, statistics, gameplay and protection against it. I actually think some of the guides were taken straight out of the newspaper, like the twins guide (http://en.tankiwiki.com/A_guide_to_Twins). Are all of them?

How much should I micro-upgrade my M1 Railgun to 1-shot an M1 Wasp?

I would be Godmode_ON in this video: ^ go to 0:43 then I would plant a mine on top of u because u would be using a nub wasp HWYKM if I was Godmode_ON in a SmartSupplies off battle?

I know golds are dropping twice as often, but why does each gold drop twice at the same spot, and why doesn't it drop for real rather than just showing up on the spot? It is strange. Via this what the mean by twice as often, or is it a glitch?
