There are many specific softwares that run specific programming languages, but I believe Sublime text does run Java as well as Notepad++ What i've used the most is Sublime text 3 and it's the best because it knows if you are making an error while trying to make something, not only that, but it has decent advantages.

HTML/CSS would be easy for you to learn and Java, huh, yeah it's a pain .-.
