Just... Buff... Vulcan! Cmon devs, its so weak right now! I would prefer this over a nerf of magnum! This has nothing to do with the fact that my vulcan is m3 and I want it to be usable Woudnt that be a hammermagnum?
-
Eh, that ones pretty weak TBH. You can think of a better one.
-
Two more rank-ups, then my clan can get serious :D

Ah well. Like I said, I was just bored.

Im pretty confused right now. When I logically think about the game, I think, "Well, its not bad for a browser based game, but they are much better MMOs out there, this one has so many problems." And yet, I have played many of these "better" games, and never gotten hooked the way I have in Tanki. I love this game, but logically the cons seem to outweigh the pros. My inner Spock is going crazy right now, but Ill settle him down by playing some polygon CP, like the grinder I am.

Thanks guys, looks like I will go with Thunder.

I started an alt, which is better at m1: Thunder or Twins? Ive never played either.

Vulcan for noobs This is my thoughtfully researched (for half an hour) guide to Vulcan. Dont expect Legend level advice, but if you are new to Vulcan or are thinking of buying it, this is the guide for you. Overview Vulcan is a machine-gun based turret, with a few key features that make it unique. It does continuous damage while firing, with the least damage per shot of any turret in the game. However, it also fires faster than any, barring Striker's volley and perhaps Twins. The weapon will not fire right away when pressing the space bar; similar to Railgun, it requires a short warm-up. When firing, the turret's rotations speed is dramatically reduced, making it susceptible to circle-strafing. When the ammunition bar runs out, your tank will begin to overheat, causing burning damage similar to Firebird. (It is worth noting that a glitch can cause the weapon to overheat right away.) Before its nerf, it was known for ridiculously good vertical auto-aim, and a gyroscope system that kept the gun pointing the same direction. Both of these have been nerfed, and the gyroscope is now more of an annoyance than a functional system. In fact, Vulcan is now one of the weakest turrets in the game, though it still can be useful in certain situations. Combinations Wasp Hornet Hunter Viking Dictator Titan Mammoth Against Other Turrets: A good Railgun will try the peek-a-boo tactic if they have cover, and will probably win. You should run away from a fight like this. However, if you catch one out in the open, you can easily defeat it. If they use a light hull, there should be little problem making mincemeat of a Smoky. If they take a heavy hull the outcome could be different, depending on how many critical shots they get. You should jam down that spacebar and hope Fortune favors you. A twins can destroy a Vulcan at close range, your best bet is to engage them from a distance. If a Firebird gets in close, its game over. Due to the tendency to use light hulls, you may be able to destroy one before it gets too close if you see it coming. Even worse than Firebird, if this one gets close it can shut down your turret rotation. If one gets in behind you, just ignore it; you can't win unless a teammate deals with it. Deal with an Isida like you would a Firebird-kill it from a distance, or you are dead. If you can tank the 3 shots by using Mammoth or Titan, you should be able to win while they reload. Beware of Hammers if you are using a medium hull or ther have the 5-shot Alteration, you will not be able to keep up with the damage output of this Slugger. (I know its not the Alteration I was talking about, but its still punny.) Ricochets are absurdly OP right now. The only advantage Vulcan has is he longer range, so hit them from a distance. If you see a shaft laser, get behind cover, then assess the situation. Wait for them to fire, then if they are close enough, move out and shoot them as they reload. Never engage one from across a map (Unless we are talking about Island or another small one, but you get what I mean.) Vulcans damage output is higher than thunders, but if they use peek-a-boo tactics it could be a problem. If you are not worried about your enemy self-destructing, get in close. If a Striker tries to lock onto you, this would be the only time I would recommend peek-a-boo tactics. It would be a long duel, but you will win. After a few seconds of this, a smart Striker will use arcade shots. You should hold down that spacebar until he tries to lock on again. Ugh, Magnum. If it uses its cheap tactic of camping behind walls, there isn't much you can do. If you encounter it in the open, shoot it and chase it down if it tries to hide. Generally, whoever has the tougher hull wins. If you have the lighter hull run for you life, unless you know the enemy is low on health. Random Tips *Don't worry about overheating to help your team. *Don't buy the alterations. They suck. *Don't rush into the enemy base, unless it's to help a flag carrier. *Use Double Power. Its the only thing that makes Vulcan usable in non-pro battles. *Focus on shooting light hulls. You will overheat before you can destroy a heavy one. *Get a Freeze to cool you down. Not everyone knows they can do this, but its really helpful. Hope I helped, *insert cool signature here*

I feel like the only question they asked Destrod during an interview was "Do yu kno da way?" Makes for funny articles though :P -
If someone has "pro" in their name, they are a nug. If someone has "rail" or "railgun" in their name, they are a twins user.
