I prefer Wasp but it's difficult to control than Hornet. Wasp flips very often, Hornet is more stable. If you are new in game, you should buy Hornet first. Best medium hull is Viking because it's fast and stable. For now there is no much difference in same type of hulls, but an upcoming update "Hull characteristics" will make hulls more unique and different than each other.
