You can't say that northerner & glaze are more powerful than Juggler. Every turret/hull has some pros & cons so don't think that Juggler is a weak & degraded combo before Lt. General. I would recommend you to MU just your ricochet. Don't upgrade Hunter. An upgraded turret is enough to reach at Lt. General. Do MUs time by time, never spend crystals on speedups. Always keep some crystals in your account like 40-50K so if there will be any sudden MU sale you will be able to take its advantage. And don't buy the kit which contains ricochet M3.

This is surprising. :o They never announced that they are re-implementing this restriction.

This is your misunderstanding. Those three maps was former maps which returned back in game some months ago. Battle button never creates these maps which you mentioned above. Here is the list of maps which can be created by Battle button.
