How to Play Tanki as a Non-Buyer
Sliced replied to Sliced in How to Play Tanki as a Non-Buyer Writers' Corner
How to Play Tanki as a Non-Buyer I'm only WO5 on this account but I have a Brigadier which you may know as @Epic_Space_Mango18. Tanki, to a LOT of players, is pay to play. No getting around it. To be honest, that's far from the truth. In Tanki, if you know how the mechanics work have real deep knowledge of the game, it's really easy to obtain any product kit without spending a single PENNY. But how is it possible? Just how can you afford 336k for Paladin? Jeez, Paladin is the second cheapest M3 product kit in the game, next to Bumblebee. But... it's so unaffordable? In my eyes, if you can't afford that, I don't know what you're doing with your crystals. So, I'm here to give you an easy guide on how to play Tanki without spending a single penny. How to be able to obliterate the field with Harvester, Striker, Simoom, Ram, Master of the Taiga, Raiden, in order from M1, M2 to M3 kits. Here I will tell you how to keep from falling behind, how to get over 100,000 crystals in earnings before WO5. I will tell you, the first part of this, is the hardest part of your journey, but once past, it's easy flying. Now, this may contradict "not falling behind," but this is the way to go. So, here we go. To start the game, you can get a buddy with you to join you on your journey. The only things you should buy are Thunder, Isida and Railgun M0, nothing more, nothing less. That's all you should buy until you can get an M2 kit. Yes, you will be going through the WO ranks as an M0. The main gun you will use is Isida. There's a reason for that. Isida, over the past few months, like all the other turrets has gone through nerfs and buffs and frankly, there are a load of mixed opinions on it. It had it's self heal reduced to almost nothing, then raised a little again, I believe. Now it has no self heal but the M0 does 385 per second in damage! Mine does because it's 1/10. I can kill an M1 Titan in one full load! I hear all over the place how OP and UP it is. The real reason to use it is because you get exp from healing team members. You'll barely be able to put a dent in enemy tanks when you reach the M1s with other turrets like Twins, Firebird and Hammer M0. The least you can do is hurt them a little, and then have a teammate finish them off and share a tiny portion of the experience. That doesn't work. With Isida, you get the full exp for healing your team members and the higher modification their tank the more there is to heal! With that in mind, you can take your friend into Noise battles, red team in CTF mode, keep your team members alive, help them get in and out with enemy flag. That's how you do it. Noise is a high exp and crystal earning map and red team, from what I've seen, has the higher chance of victory. Just do that and you end up WO5 still with Beginner's Pass in hand like me! Double cry on high a high crystal earning map earns me at least 5,000 crystals a day. So, if you've got the patience, just do this until you can get a good M2 kit. For me, I'm getting Stinger. It's cheap, and has M2 Isida which is a lot better than M0 and M2 Hornet which has only 30 less HP than my Hunter M0, but is a LOT quicker. Plus I'll get a nice paint and module to go with. I'll be getting more healing done, faster. If I can get 3rd with Lieutenant Colonels, just think how I'll do with Stinger! With Stinger, you can continue this healing your team members, rank up quick and with Hornet, you can get across the map much faster to do more than just heal. Actually capture flags in CTF and such. But, Stinger is generally one of the weaker M2 kits, but unlocks at WO4 and is rather easy to afford. Now that you've got yourself a kit, whatever it is, just start to MU it to M3. DO NOT buy the speed ups! From whatever rank it is you got your kit, to go all the way to Marshal is a long way. So you can either get M3s earlier than the rank you get M3 kits or you can save for an M3 kit. I'd rather MU to M3 and get the M3s free during Marshal. And don't worry. You'll make PLENTY of crystals during the middle ranks. Here's how my career went on my old account: First, I bought Voltage for 131k at 3rd Lt. Later, during Captain, I had made another 177k and bought Hornet and Hammer M2 which I got up to 24/50 during the Christmas celebrations. I got all of that on the sales. Next, I made 155k by Lieutenant Colonel and bought Northerner for 133k during the Valentine's sales. Finally, by the time I hit Brigadier, I made 160k which I dumped into my Hammer to 8/10. That's at least 623,000 crystals I had made and spent blindly without much thought. Now, that's more than enough to afford most M3 kits BEFORE you even reach Lt General to get M3 kits! So, that's more than enough to MU your M2 kit to M3 by that time, then you can get them for FREE when you get to Marshal! MU Glaze to M3 that's an early Jackhammer. MU Ram to M3 that's and early Cardinal. So when you think about it, this is the best way to go. Skip to M2 from M0, MU M2 to M3 which you can start to MU to M4 from Marshal. :) UPDATE: I checked and I was only 2,000 off on how much I made! On my profile in the ratings, it showed I had obtained 621,000 ish crystals! -
I've earned at least 140,000 earned, 134,306 currently saved up and ready to be spent but my profile only shows like 40,000?

I do play with higher rankers because there's higher battle funds. And I normally end up at the higher middle section of the leaderboard. I just ranked up in the battle I was in on Noise and I'm the reason my team capped the flags we got. Every time somebody went down alone they died. Me being Isida, having me with them, knowing how to take enemy shots for them, how to block them off from giving chase AND to heal them at the same time, it's no wonder why :3

Hhhh making it seem I know nothing. I'm M0 with nearly 130,000 crystals, bruh

What do you think is the fastest and easiest way to get ahead in tanki?
Sliced replied to Sliced in Archive
Yep! -
What about just your main?

825k o.O Shooting for a whopping 1,000,000 by Lt. General! :D Might get to like 920k

To me, it's being a no-lifer, rounding up a bunch of your friends, start a battle from server restart an go until the next one just because. Have one player cap like one flag or make one kill and have him just mult around. When the next restart comes, everyone leaves except said player, for only 10 exp, gets maybe 250,000 crystals from that battle xD -
They're FINALLY implementing this!?!?

Battle reward "not" being given out
Sliced replied to Sliced in Battle reward "not" being given out Archive
I've seen the same issue with another player who wa in a Deck-9 CTF and his team won and the reward wasn't show, but was given. This gives players the false impression they didn't get their reward. I earned at least 400 crystals from this battle because after my last battle I had 124,268 crystals, now I have 124,608. This isn't an issue to me, at least, since I know I got the reward, but to those who didn't notice, got pretty upset. Small problem. Fix it when you can. -
There was a fellow who was a full 10/10 M1 Smoky and 10/10 M2 Hunter on Blue, though o.O

Exactly what I'm doing xD

I would have but I didn't think it'd get to 400 words

So, other than a few drugs and an MU or two, I have made no major purchases since the 7th rank. I'm nearing WO5 and waiting on Stinger to appear in the garage. Although, I have been contemplating if I even want to move up from my M0s just yet. This battle was full of strong M2 combos, like Hunter Smoky, Viking Firebird, Dictator Ricochet, Wasp Rail. Then there's me; M0 Hunter Isida. I had the slight cringy feeling nipping at the back of my brain because I was the weakest Tank on the field. But, it's the fact I was even there my team was able to cap so rapidly, at least 2 fags a minute, which is quite high from my stand point. Most Isidas sit around the middle of the field to wait for their brave teammate to hopefully emerge alive from the death pit, known as blue team, flag in tow. To be honest, that's a terrible way of getting things done. How I do it, is I jump down there after my teammate, and I ignore all enemies, my only focus - keep my beam on my teammate, keep him alive. It's that satisfactory feeling that even though I die, I was able to keep my mate's bar from reaching 0, despite being M0. I'm an Isida. My life has no meaning. My job is to give my life for my team, to conserve theirs. That's my main goal. I feel I do a pretty darn good job of it, since I held 2nd for quite a long time in this battle. As you can see by my bank, it's highly rewarding. If I use anything other than Isida, I'm praying to take enough damage to an enemy so that when they die, I get maybe a tiny share of the exp. Makes me a mult pretty much against Majors and Lt. Colonels. Which is why I use Isida. You die so many times on this map, which means shortly after spawn, your health bar is already depleting! This means I spend a LOT of time healing. Being M0 healing 10/10 M2 hulls takes a while which is good for me. But why do I play with such high rankers? Well, the higher ranked a player is, the more Is added to the fund when they die. In short, I'd play with Legends if I could. This M0 combo is doing me wonders so far and I feel I'm headed in the right direction in Tanki. I'm not worrying on getting higher mod items quicker because my tank doesn't have the survivability to do so, I'm more concerned of being lucky to get on the winning team and keep my mates from dying. Tanki is not pay to play, people. I'm proof of that. Only WO4 and I can afford most of the M2s already. Not a single penny has been sent on this account and I don't plan to spend anything at all. Feels nice to have 134,306 crystals, knowing I earned each one in battle :)

He's not sharing it, he just gave it to me. He did a lot of work on it and didn't want it to go to waste. I know the guy in person. Also, I bet it is hard. on my Brigadier I switch to hunter Isida M0 and it's not even possible to live for even a minute. Get hit by DD splash from an M3 Thunder kills you
-
Simple. Go all the way to Legend with M0 equipment and nothing more. Although, I am not doing this challenge, I've still got my M0s, Hunter Isida being my favorite combo. It's not easy to stay alive, kill enemies, capture flags and all that, so I use Isida to non-stop heal my teammates on smaller maps so they're all right there and I don't have to search for tanks I can't keep up with. My k/d is probably less than 1.00 by now but I'm still gaining exp rather fast. Not sure if any of you have tried this challenge but it's already quite hard against M2s. I don't really feel they're overpowered anymore, like the Firewall kit, knowing I'm going to die for sure. But, Isida being as OP as it is, a whopping 350 ish damage per second, what is there to argue? I mean, I can take out M1 Titans in one full blow! Plus, with Isida's healing rate being insanely fast, keeping my M2 Teammates alive is really not that hard.Where I serve as a shield and life source in Noise when a buddy and I go down to take the flag, I can't help but laugh these guys only get away with the flag cause I actually know how to use Isida in Noise. Now, I do change up to Thunder Hunter or Wasp Rail at times, but Hunter Isida is most beneficial to me. It's enough to aid my teammates into coming out of the death pit, known as blue team, on Noise. Follow as he jumps down, heal him as he gets shot, block the ramp from enemies and take shots for them. My tank dies fast, but I'm 1,500 health my teammate would have taken, otherwise. But, why have I stuck with my M0s for so long? Well, it's working, for starters. I discovered the trick to winning any game. To do what you can with what you have for as long as you can. I've got 114,578 crystals saved up and ready to spend. but that will have to wait until I can get Stinger kit. Just a few more thousand to make, I'll have a fast, light hull with only 30 less hp and an M2 Isida mounted on top. If I'm a beast already with M0 Isida, well, the enemy is goin to hate me. Blazing fast, healing my mates faster than they can kill them. It's funny when I think about it. I've got a buddy who gave his account to me cause he don't want it and he happens to have Stinger which I had fun...so much fun playing with. I can manage to get maybe 200 exp per battle because I can't really stay alive with my M0s but with my buddy's Stinger, I made twice that in about five minutes. 386 hp per second with DD made me feel unkillable. A four shot to Rail M1, three for M2...I had me a few evil laughs, my double armor turning me into an eight shot, I chased an M1 xp nub till he was dead. He's 2nd lt. I'm going to be WO4 with Stinger. R.I.P Tanki Online 2009 - 2017

Spoonerism is a simple word. Yes it IS a word. Basically what it is, is you swap the first one or two letters of some or all words. Here's an example: How's your day? -> Dow's your hay? Get rekt, noob! -> Ret nekt, goob! I had chili dogs for breakfast. -> I bad hili chogs bor freakfast. There is no one way to lix up mour yetters. How it dowever! Talk about anything, since this is the off-topic discussion, but to spice it up, use spoonerism!

Free players, whats your method to saving crystals?
Sliced replied to Sliced in Free players, whats your method to saving crystals? Archive
Mine is toughing it out as M0 Rail/Hunter to save for an M2 kit. I'm saving for Stinger, then going to grab me M2 Rail on another sale. Tornado is just too over priced and this way costs a bit more but I get M2 Isida thrown in :) I've got 78,520 crystals currently saved up. I feel so triumphant to know I can get what buyers get but for free in terms of real money. Now, if not for the holidays I'd probably still be in the 50,000s. But this is part of the strategy. To play as much as you can with the Beginner's pass and during high crystal rewarding holidays like these. 1.5x more exp but 4x crystals :) Update: I now have 114,587 crystals :) -
Valid Lower healing rate when Isida heals another Isida
Sliced replied to BlackWasp777 in Ideas and Suggestions
Isida heals other isidas 25% slowerEver have those moments where a trio of Wasp Isida players rush into your base, take whatever shots you give them, grab your flag and run off like nothing happened? Quite annoying, isn't it. So, I propose the idea that Isidas heal other teammates with Isida 25% slower. When there's two of them, it's hard enough, but three is just suicide to go up against. Unless you get a freeze to somehow catch onto all of them, then your Thunders to take them out, it's near impossible. Now with the 0 supply feature in game for the holidays, if smart enough, one will activate theirs and when things get hairy, the second one uses theirs and so forth. -
It sounds cool
