Mammoth on OD can be a surprising distance away in 4 seconds. You actually don't know how fast these Mammoths can move on OD. How else do you think they are getting all the golds?

Within the first three battles I played when the Overdrives came in, I was able to kill a Titan inside its dome with Twins/Heavy Plasma +OD. I haven't managed to repeat that since, so it may have had a quiet adjustment/buff but I do still target them in their domes regardless. The wording on the Titan OD on page 1 is ambiguous - Significantly increases, but doesn't say "stops all damage." Also doesn't say "repairs all allied tanks.." so is the dome-owner vulnerable? Titan does seem to take damage but at the moment you get instantly healed. I'll know more if I manage to kill another.

Nope. With Twins I can still hit whatever's inside the dome. Admittedly I'm only scoring 40 with each shot instead of the usual 200-576. But bounces off? Uh... no.

People putting something where it can't be overlooked, and thinking employers won't notice, is the stupid part. Trust me, if you've got something on your face or hands, you really don't want to wear Dermablend. At worst you could be fired. That's not me being judgmental, it happens, and it happens not just with facial tatts but ones on the hands too. Which is why I've said consistently through my replies think through the placement of your tattoos before you have them. Houghton, who lives in Spain and runs his own gym, obviously doesn't have to worry about employers because he IS the employer. Note that he got his first tattoos while in the British Army. Note also that the British Army has strict regulations about tattoo placements; none on face/neck which can be seen in passport photo, and until recently that extended to the hands and above the collar. But what you see as tacky, someone else might think otherwise. At the end of the day wearers get them done for themselves and generally it's irrelevant if someone else doesn't like them. Age doesn't magically make you more sensible. If that was the case, then why are so many A&E staff in their twenties? Y'know, people with your life in their hands. Tattoos and piercings are individual to the person and everyone else's opinions are irrelevant. The sole caveat I would say is just don't get any on the face, it's stupid in every language and can make you unemployable.

I'm seeing Mammoths on OD getting the gold boxes. They're immune to the meteor and no one can get near them. They're also considerably fast enough to get to the dropzone. Mammoth needs to be slowed down and it also needs to be as vulnerable to meteor blast like the rest of us. At the moment that is quite unfair.

How did you get your figures... by time alone, or by time-plus-firing? Just wondering because the old overdrives seemed to rack up faster the more you fire, which explains why I used to see so many Twins users firing non-stop at empty space to rack up quicker. I wonder if the new overdrives are purely on a timer or if it speeds up the more you fire.

+1..... tinfoil M2 Hornet with Twins not goodl. Esp as he's prob up against M3 or even M4, depending on how bad the MM rank brackets are today. Surprise weapon + tinfoil tank = less bad, head-on assault weapon + tinfoil tank = very, very bad. :blink: Garage supplies + ODs - assuming he's got any, but the old OD did used to give you all of them a few times pr battle. Now maybe not. Change of heart - a few v-logs ago gave the impression Hornet's removal of my supplies was going to be a very bad thing. In reality though, tinfoil M2 Hornet is just as vulnerable (to my full-M4 Viking and full-M4 Twins) as it was before. Still a tinfoil hull. They should have kept Hornet's DA as part of its OD just to give it a fighting chance.

Somewhere on here someone mentioned the new ODs don't have supplies. I haven't had a chance to look when I get the new OD, as 7 seconds goes so fast I'm looking at where to aim instead of the supply situation, so I don't know for sure. If that is the case then he's worse off now than with the old OD. And Hornet's OD is much weaker than I was led to believe it would be. I killed a few earlier on, expecting a much harder battle with Hornet. Even if Hornet turns off my supplies, my Twins is still up against a bog-standard, weak hull. Wasn't aware changing one's opinion was a hanging offence.

It's not Twins that's holding you back now, it's Hornet. The OD for it is very weak, and I was able to slaughter OD-equipped Hornets earlier on today without even needing Viking's OD. You've got a weak hull that's now got a weak OD, simple as that.

Yup. Just wait it out. What's the alternative, don't be a chicken but be a dead one instead? On something like ASL I would hide behind a building until its OD has expired, then take it out so the rest of the team can rush in.

They're not immortal. You can still kill them inside the dome, but your kill-rate is about 10% of what it was. You can still kill them inside their dome if you have a turret that puts out a strong enough barrage on OD - Twins, Rico, Hammer etc.

Yes, but only In a team game because if someone shares their overdrive then you instantly have to find something to kill. For your normal overdrive you just press Shift as before, meaning you can pick when you use it. It's the shared OD I'd like to see changed - instead of it instantly starting, it should just reset the timer and give us the star. That way we can still use it when WE choose to, not when the other player has shared his.

They're not immortal. You can still kill them, but your hit-rate is about 10% of what it was. With Viking/Twins OD they can still be killed inside their dome. With Viking, whatever turret they use you can't fight it. I'm using Viking and Twins M4 with Heavy Plasmagun and the OD just kills EVERYTHING in its path. The point is, Viking's OD coming at you you're dying.

Your picture shows the one huge disadvantage of these Overdrives - catching gold boxes will become a thing of the past for those not using Hunters, Titans and Mammoths.

Can't speak for any of the other hulls Diesel, but I disagree with you on Viking. I used it on CP, CTF and DM for missions and it was equally good in all modes, but as you say with CTF it's better because other teammates can share their OD with you like on the old format that gave health, now it gives you instant OD. The one disadvantage I found with it (Twins + Heavy Plasma alt) was it doesn't last long and can run out before you find a nearby enemy. On the plus side, Twins++ just melts away EVERYTHING in front of it. MAMMOTH It's Godmode_On, so not an issue if you keep your distance. HUNTER It's stun feature is way too OP. You're stuck dead, nothing works - can't move, can't fire. Nada. Say goodnight.
