We are not able to guess how exactly the mission chain will be changed because these people don't think normally but I'm sure it will do more harm than good to us. Something like we have to do more jobs or we get less/worse rewards or we have to keep the missions completed without any break: something like one mission goes down the chain all goes down, even the rewards look better. Simply speaking: the mission chain will be harder and it is easy to lose more.
