    Tanki Online Server Load

Hmmm....19 servers, huh. I asked in the Q&A how many servers there were and I was told only the Devs know for sure. Interesting. EDIT: Here's the answer I got: Every since they unified the server lobbies, it's not possible anymore to see the separate servers or know how many there are exactly. There is certainly more than one though. http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=332229&page=296&do=findComment&comment=6641795

    Exactly how TO will die

Yep. When I left that game, there were 500,000 left out of millions. In the forum, I was told that after I left even more left the game. I still get emails from the game, so I guess at least my main is still there. Maybe I log in to see what the player base is now.
  6. I was having the same problem on Firefox and Chrome. I did all the things the Mods and Helpers say to do, too. Nothing worked. I just didn't play that night. The next day I left to spend Christmas with family. I got back tonight, but haven't tried it yet.

What!?! No Free Love in Tanki?
  8. This is the first time I've seen PayPal down and this account is a buyer. For how many years has PayPal been down during the sales? When was the last time you saw it down, before now?

    Exactly how TO will die

A few things I want to point out. Tanki is a F2P game, which means Tanki doesn't require payment to register or maintain a membership fee, nor doses it require you to pay any money at all. There are Legends with an M0 garage, but are probably MUed to M0 10/10, which makes the equipment equivalent to an M2. At the moment, Tanki is a Flash game, but the Devs are working on making it HTML5. When that will come out, I have no idea. They are doing this because Flash is on the way out. Some gaming websites no longer support Flash. P2W? Seems to be going in that direction. My personal opinion on that is Tanki wants to remain a F2P game, but also needs some revenue. So, they are opening up kits 2 to 4 ranks lower than they were. A new player buys a kit from the store and others feel they can't compete. So, they get out the plastic and buy a kit. This is making players buyers at a much lower rank. Tanki is not dead, nor will it be. We may see it going down hill, however new players will come in, like what they see and will conform to the new playing methods. Tanki is in the thralls of rebirth, again. What we are seeing are the labor pains. Wait until Tanki gives birth. You ain't seen nothin' yet, Baby. Players come, players go. But there will always be Tanki long after we are gone. Another game I used to play did the same things as the Tanki Devs are doing, but with a different approach. With the other game, the Devs did all of the updates and changes and game evolution in the background. None of the players saw the labor pains Tanki is having now. About 2 weeks before the "new" game was launched, the players were told that there will be massive updates to the game that would fix the problems the players were having and make it more user friendly, however, the game would have to shut down for a week, but the forums would remain open. We weren't given any hints as to what these new updates would be. The forums were alive with speculation. The excitement rose to a crescendo. When the game reopened, we were stupefied, shocked and horrified at what we saw. It was no longer the game we grew to love. Very little of the old game survived. The game had millions of players and more than half quit. Many of those who stayed created new accounts to relearn the game. Still more quit, including me. The old players couldn't get the hang of the new system. I went back about 2 years later and went to the forums. I found out that the game was still alive and doing very well. The player base wasn't as high as it once was, not quite a million players, but the game was quickly gaining ground by leaps and bounds. What happened was new players joined and was taking the place of those 500,000+ players who quit. Now, those of you who have been playing Tanki for some years and even those who were here when Tanki came out of beta in 2009, think of all the updates and changes Tanki has done over the years. Now imagine all those updates and changes being thrown at you all in one day. Mind boggling, isn't it. Be thankful Tanki is doing this in steps and allowing the players to get used to the new changes before launching another update/change. Tanki is alive and well. It is not dead nor is it dying. It will survive with a new player base.

She heard a TV go on someplace, listened for a moment and realized it was her favorite TV show.
  11. Yeah, that is absolutely ridiculous. My alt accounts are not buyers, they already have a tough time of it. Now this.
  12. This game is F2P in the aspect that you don't have to pay money to join and nothing says you have to buy anything. There's a Legend with an M0 garage and over a million crystals. Tanki says that he is not a saboteur since he has nothing higher than M0s. His K/D stinks, though. I have no idea how long it took him to reach his rank. I forgot to mention that his hull is an M1. Seems to me what the Devs are trying to do is make buyers out of very low rankers. The sooner they can latch on to that card the more apt buying will become habitual.

    Let's Discuss Vulcan!

I can only answer from my own experience. Q #1: No, the turret has to overheat. Q #2:Yes, to some extent. I can't really fully answer this question since no Freezes have ever stuck around long enough for me to find out. A few have given me a short blast and that stopped some of the burn, but not completely. Q #3: No, but once you start to freeze, so does the Vulcan. It becomes useless. My Titan can move faster than the Vulcan, but by that time I'm dead.

    Let's Discuss Smoky!

HPAS = High Precision Aiming System I have Titan M2.8. I've been hit many times with the autocannon. From a distance, it's weak enough I'm able to escape it, providing there is cover nearby. Autocannon users have chased me down to make the kill. After I load RK, they back off. Closer in, it takes awhile to kill me. However, If the user has loaded a DD, it can be devastating. It seems to take quite a while for the Crit hit, but when it hits, it hits hard.

Granted!! You grow old and feeble and unable to let it outdoors occasionally, but the cat remains young and healthy. It wants good wholesome protein and warm blood, not that crapola stuff you've been feeding it all those years. Guess who is on the menu tonight? I wish I was a world renown Artist with paintings that sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

    Have desk chair races.
  17. Holy Cow!! I'm having enough problems with my alt accounts, which are not buyers. Now, this. What is WoT(anki) coming to?
  18. This started just started happening. I have Vulcan with Incendiary Band alt. When I begin to heat up the Vulcan stops firing. If I let up on the spacebar and then press it down again, sometimes it starts firing again, but other times I have to hit the spacebar twice before it fires.

    Most interesting chat conversations

I'm not sure if this would count as a conversation. I was in lobby chat and a player was advertising buying and selling accounts. I told him that what he was doing was against Tanki rules. He asked me if I was a Mod. I told him no. Then he started cursing at me. Some of the words were censored out, but it was still pretty obvious what he was calling me. Others joined in....some on his side, some on my side. He continued to advertise. I put him on my blocklist (ignore).

Real life tattoos - Do you have any?

I read an article by a Psychologist whose main practice was premarital counseling and predivorce counseling. He said that young people who marry as teenagers up to about age 25 marry for lust, love comes later. As good as your intentions are when you get married, people change over time. Ideals, priorities, attitudes, interests, they all change once you become comfortable in a marriage. Changes may originate internally or externally. Jobs, children, friends, peer groups, illnesses, terminal diseases (conditions) and more can put a strain on a marriage. Yes, most of us marry for all the right reasons, but no one can predict the future. This is a bit off topic.
