500 euros, what the crap?!

what if we had like mirrors in the map where you could shoot at it and it would like be rico but for rail so it would bounce off

Good game, just needs major work on the economy
-
Well I'm basing my assumption based on evidence that has proved to become a trend in the e-marketing word. Essentially the more traffic(people) you bring to a site the higher the money goes up. And the reason the marketing team hasn't done is because(they told me this) they think ads would make the game look "amateur" and less people would play. However, I personally don't think people would mind ads if the economy got a little better and tanki gained content more quickly. And the reason I'm talking about ads, is because IMO the main problem of the economy is the imbalance that buyers can bring to the battles.
-
Okay, well you make it blindingly obvious that you know absolutely nothing about the revenue ads can produce(no offense). First of all, most players don't spend upwards of a thousand dollars on the game, second I said that the change would need to happen gradually like putting ads on the test server and seeing how people like it. Then they could put ads on the regular server if it is well accepted and then gradually start eliminating the buying system. last but not least, with the current impressions Tanki is generating, switching to ads would generate at least(the very least) 2x the amount being generated by people buying crystals, kits, and other digital items. Not to mention that switching to ads would make tanki's income more stable and allow for more gradual updates. And if you don't believe that stability comment then read my post about it on the previous page I think it was. Sorry, I don't want you to think I'm mad at you, but you're arguments aren't correct and I want you to know I've done my research.

Good Idea actually, you should suggest it I'm not sure you understand the purpose of this thread. The main reason I made the thread wasn't just to complain that the game is imbalanced, it was to possibly give tanki the possibility of completely eliminating the buying system, and in that place tanki would use ads to generate the revenue needed to run the game. Now it's given that this would have to happen gradually, like starting with putting ads on the test server, it'd be impossible just to do it immediately. But the main benefit of this would be allowing every single player to be balanced with each other in battles as well as giving tanki a better revenue source. I mean let's be honest, if your not a buyer you're going to have a pretty big disadvantage against buyers regardless of missions, prices, etc.... In my opinion, I don't think that the economy should be based around trying to make peope buy crystals, that basis for a game's economy just isn't good at all.
-
Ya I did do that, but I still think there should be a way to easily play as much as you want and still stay at a good level, upgrades I mean I mean, before the economy update and before the infamous "update 123" there was a way to stay at good upgrades with your rank, but now there's not, except for only doing missions every day.
-
Ya that's probably true but they'd get over it, eventually
-
Do you have contact with them? Maybe you could ask them By them I mean the devs

All I'm saying that (financially speaking) it's much easier to know for sure you have a steady income (using ads)than to have to rely on players buying seemingly meanless items which are essentially just digital space. With ads, companies that sell REAL things, real as in, tangible items that people benefit from in the real world instead of just digital space. And those REAL items which ads would promote would sell 100x better than crystals, or kits or the things that tanki sells. So essentially the most reliable source of income is to advertise those REAL items through affiliates which will then give tanki a portion of that whether the deal is PPC, CPM, or purely affiliate, in which the company would give tanki a portion of their profit on whatever tanki helped them sell. Well, Google uses ads, are they unprofessional? I promise you that the profit made in ads will easily counter that which is lost in tanki looking "unprofessional" or "amateur"
-
Now, before discussing the economy it's important to address the elephant in the room, I understand that without the huge economy update and update 123, tanki could go bankrupt and lose it's only source of income: buyers. Now for the solution, Tanki Online generates hundreds of thousands, if not millions of impressions per day on the site. And currently the only way Tanki is using that publicity to generate money is through buyer, now I mean no disrespect, but this is extremely inefficient. With the publicity Tanki has, it could be fully independent of buyers and run completely on ads, doing this would not only give tanki room to make it less of a "pay to win" game, but it would also give tanki a higher budget, which could allow tanki to expand, and even have the possibility of creating a North American server. Doing this would also give the game more publicity and also generate more $ for the game. The simple reality is, it would only take a few days for the game to switch over to using google adsense's PPC(Pay per click) ads. And if it ever becomes big enough tanki could start using CPM(Cost Per Impression) and then branch out into other affiliate online marketing styles. To be honest(no offense), if I owned tanki, I would've done this a long time ago. And to those who think running an ad in the corner of the garage or on the site itself would ruin the game, to them I say that the ad is so minuscule that it wouldn't interfere with the game at all. Oh and maf, if you didn't understand the whole e-marketing thing, then talk to the devs or someone who knows about it :)

Sorry, I meant it as, pay for good K/D in high ranks

In my opinion, it's mainly the xp/crystals gain ratio that's the problem, it overpowers buyers so they get to face easier people especially in the WO range. To illustrate my point, I've been playing on and off on tanki for a LONG time, to put that in perspective I started my account before the huge economy update happen years ago where they multiplied everyone's crystals by 10x. Ever since then, I've always been able to pinpoint problems with the economy starting with that update, if you guys were around then, you'd know what I'm talking about. Because when they multiplied everyone's cry by 10, they didn't use the same multiplier for the other factors, items in the garage and battle funds are just a few examples. And if you disagree with me that the economy update did all this, do some research, look up items in the garage from years ago before the update and from now, I guarantee the multiplier on all of them will be uneven. And if you still disagree, tell me the reason for the economy update, I believe that the reason for the update was to encourage players to spend for crystals.

As much as I hate to say, the tanki economy needs major improvement, I think a lot of people will agree with me when I say the game is become not just "Pay to win" but it's become a "Pay to play." I won't go into detail about the problems with the economy, because most of you probably already know them. This is meant to be a place to discuss possible solutions to the economy, without bankrupting the game. Eventually when we get an idea on here good enough, let's have someone take the final step and make a formal suggestion in the "Ideas and suggestions" forum.
-
who knows how to do a poll on the forums?
-
Ya I think we can all agree that the economy system needs some work Dude, you even admitted to me the economy has "much to be desired" and then you said a solution to it, why don't you post it?
-
no, the rail has been nerfed enough, I say we keep it the same
-
Really, only M2's and above? That really sucks
-
k so what's xp, bp, and xpbp, and xp/bp I used to think it was rail and wasp but when I did that format on a pro battle it wouldn't let me join when I had the stuff.
-
How the crap do you guys even catch these? I've only gotten one, and that one someone gave to me after a duel
-
um he said he'd pay 1000$, so you wouldn't pay anything cuz ur a dev also Italian casino? what? of all the casinos really?
-
I totally agree, I think that it sucks that buying supplies is becoming necessary to actually get good at the game. And that at high ranks it gets hard to upgrade your stuff and compete with other players
-
So does it automatically take you to the server with the highest amount of players then?
-
Does anybody that in order to get good at tanki you have buy stuff. I feel like there should be a way around this so, is there a way to stop earning xp, but still be able to kill tanks and earn crystals? Because I feel like if there isn't a way, then you'll earn too much xp, and rank up faster than you can afford to upgrade with crystals. And then, for example: you'll be like the only one in a battle with m1 gear, while everyone else (who buys, which most people do at the m2/m3 level) has like m2 gear, and then you cant really earn crystals. I think an easy solution for this would be to make a way to toggle xp on and off, so you don't rank up up too fast and face super hard players. It also would not hurt the players that buy in any way, because they would just be going faster then everybody else. But making a toggle would allow regular players to earn enough crystals and then be eventually equel with the players who buy at those high levels. This is my solution, but if you guys have any other ideas then post them, and then we can talk to the GM's to fix the problem. Also, this was never a problem before the big economy update happened, so maybe they'd be open to reversing that. Because I'm sure 90% of the players missed the old economy of tanki.

I have the same question
