    Mission changes

This is definitely the best update Alternativa have made in the last year. For quite a few reasons this is very good, a few I can think of: 1) Players are no longer required to play every day, which is unhealthy, or if you miss a day playing you no longer lose out on a large amount of reward (20 daily mission reward) compared to players who play each day 2) This makes it much easier to complete challenges, and ties challenges more to daily missions which means in a way daily missions give better and more interesting rewards. it also means if you are a reasonably skilled player (yes I know GS has a lot to do with it), you can complete the challenges and earn decent rewards in much shorter time. 3) Completing challenges and earning the interesting higher-tier rewards will now be possible for players who don't no-life it. 4) Daily missions, and completing all of them, is now in general more meaningful. One of the problems with Tanki is that in a way, you are punished for playing more (in most games you are rewarded for playing more) as you simply lower your exp/crystal ratio and run out of supplies if you are a non-buyer. This problem is still there, but now that you get more supplies and crystals by making good progress on challenges through completing daily missions, it goes some way to help with this. A good update, though there have been bad updates lately such as events no longer giving increased Exp/Crystal ratio (since they now increase experience along with crystals gained) - though in fairness you do get the special missions - and the 4x exp/2x crystals change. It did take too long to level in Tanki but that is quite a nerf to buying power in the lower ranks, perhaps it will be OK though. Back on topic - this is a good change for sure which I'm surprised the devs would make. EDIT: When I say this is a great change, I am also commenting on the new "stars from daily and weekly missions change", which is see now is not mentioned in the original post of this topic. But both affect daily missions, so... ye.

    Tanki Birthday Special Missions

Wow, I have to say I'm amazed the devs would give us 11 containers for free yesterday, pretty generous! Haven't liked many of the recent updates, however I do appreciate the generousity - thanks devs ? Got some good stuff from it, and on my alts too. I think this alone makes this the most profitable Tanki birthday so far, for players who don't play that often.

    Tanki Birthday Special Missions

11,111 crystals from the special mission for free? Thanks devs, I'm surprised they are that generous ?
  4. I am pleased to say that they seemed to have listened to this feedback somewhat, there now seem to been 6 slots available for kits at all times. Thanks to the devs at least for doing that. However there is no dedicated slot for crystal kits it would seem - getting no crystal kits in a single 12-hour window is still possible - and if they wanted they could just decrease the chance of crystal kits appearing to counter having 6 slots (I trust they wouldn't be sneaky enough to do that). 6 slots instead of 3 at all times is an improvement anyway. Yes, getting kits for crystals is now extremely difficult. There are now buyer exclusive drones/augments, and it is very, very hard to get some of the best hull augments in the game unless you buy. Also you can get product kits 4 ranks sooner instead of 2 ranks sooner if you buy, which was an unannounced change. Having quit for a while, I see Tanki has indeed went further down the pay-to-win route now that I'm back, and that seems to be happening more and more as time goes on. Non-buyers can still compete, but it is getting increasingly difficult and will do even more as more people get crysis/emp gauss/fire immunity alt/adrenaline alts and many of the ridiculously OP buyer only items that are now in the game. They do seem to have stopped caring about balance in the game, I don't think there's any point in continuing to offer feedback as they clearly are going to a full pay-to-win model, those that are fine with that can stay, and those that don't should quit.

    Alterations for Hulls

What are some of the differences between much more successful game companies, such as Blizzard Entertainment, and Alternativa? Here are two: 1) They listen to player feedback and take it into consideration, and they usually even consult player feedback before making important changes. 2) They are willing to ADMIT when they are wrong, and NOT IMPLEMENT or ROLL BACK bad changes when it is realised they are bad or they get a lot of player feedback about it, even when they have put a significant amount of work into it. Releasing a very bad update is worse than not releasing one at all. Alternativa do neither of these very important things. Many of us have explained in considerable detail about how and why these hull alterations are bad for the game, particularly the Firebird/Freeze Immunity. They are going to destroy the mechanics of those 2 turrets. What you SHOULD do is this: - Don't put the Firebird/Freeze immunity into the game. If you do, realise that this is ridiculous and remove it from the game, and apply appropriate compensation to players who bought it. - Better yet, revert this whole update, and make hull alterations about altering the actual hull overdrives, and not targeting specific turrets/hulls in a bizarre way as you seem to intend to do so with updates like this. Will I/others be listened to? No, as usual probably not, no doubt we waste our breath. However in time, the player numbers will speak for themselves. What happens to game companies with an attitude like this? Their games fail, like Tanki X. This game was headed for failure, but it's been given a reprieve with the coronvirus crisis which has increased player numbers. It has many good features, interesting gameplay, and there is no reason why it couldn't be successful, but with updates and a dev attitude like this, it will be headed for failure once again. Alternativa can start actually being willing to admit when they are wrong and listening to player feedback, or we might as well start preparing for the end of the game.

    Alterations for Hulls

As long as the actual immunity alterations are not in, this will not be so bad. But actual Immunity is totally ridiculous, unfair to 2/13 turrets, and will destroy the gameplay mechanics of both Firebird and Freeze. The immunity alterations are a huge, huge mistake by the devs.

    Hull alterations are coming soon!

Thanks bro, I'm glad you appreciated my feedback, and that others can see the same issues with this ? I am sad to see however that all of our efforts to try and provide feedback and alternative suggestions for hull overdrives have been totally ignored, and it looks like Fire and Freeze immunity will be going into the game tomorrow. Well, if Alternativa want to destroy the game that's up to them, we did try our best.
  8. DestrotankAI9

    Alterations for Hulls

Yes the Corrosive mix alteration is clearly the solution for Freeze players of Lieutenant General and above, with that 5% damage increase they won't be missing total loss of Freezing effect ? . However of course, I do think the majority of players will equip Firebird protection (or immunity) if that isn't buyer only. So that means you'll have to be Major General or above for Firebird to be useful again? Great. And now the interesting gameplay such as hit-and-run, and the whole point of Firebird with it's afterburn will be totally removed, simple one dimensional gameplay with only one useful alteration. But the turret will be so useless, unless you don't mind using Incendiary Mix 24/7 that any Firebird user will have to get a new turret anyway.

    Discount Weekend - April 2020

These missions are really generous, I can't believe just how generous they are. Definitely will be fun, so thanks for such great rewards! However it doesn't make up for the new hull alterations, would have rather had lesser mission rewards and the game balance not being destroyed, very, very disappointed that they have gone through with the fire/freeze immunity and other alterations, and not taken any of the players feedback on board. This seems likely to be one of the worst changes in the game's history.
  10. DestrotankAI9

    Alterations for Hulls

This is terrible, one of the worst updates in the history of Tanki. If things keep going like this the game is dead. Many of us were very vocal in our criticism about these hull alterations but have they listened one bit? Nope, of course not. And now we have this mess, with massive nerfs to specific turrets and hulls. Alterations which actually affect the hulls overdrive themselves would have been the only fair and workable way to go about this. So how exactly is Freeze and Fire IMMUNITY fair for Firebird (especially), and Freeze? These will make these turrets nerfed to irrelevance in MM once enough people have them. And I really hope it's not a buyer only alteration for these immensely overpowered alts, otherwise we will have a new level of two-tier system between large-scale buyers and light buyers/ non-buyers which will add another killing blow to the game. It doesn't matter who can access these alterations really, having outright resistance to 2 turrets main features, while other turrets are unaffected aside from alterations is plainly ridiculous. Additionally, while these alterations are initially for Hunter ultimately EMP resistance and Stun resistance will serve as a massive Hunter nerf, with all other Hulls unaffected. In addition to this as other have pointed out, this is once again in another way just making us buy back something we already have. We already have firebird and freeze resistance through modules, but we now have to buy it back through these alterations - so it just seems like another cash grab. In multiple ways this update is very infuriating for players. With every update like this I'm losing more and more faith in the Tanki dev team, and I regret investing time and money in this game, I may have to consider moving to something else. Then again why am I even bothering to complain as many of us already voiced our feedback as hard as we could about how these alterations were extremely unfair to Firebird/Freeze and would mess up the game balance, but as usual they wouldn't listen and roll them out anyway, and as we know Tanki don't take updates back. So what we can do, is take our time back and quit the game. Starting to look like the only rational option. The new missions rewarding ultra containers are indeed very generous, but this doesn't make up for destroying the gameplay in the long-term and rolling out updates which are massively unfair nerfs to certain turrets and hulls while ignoring others.
  11. Thanks for the feedback ? . Ah yes indeed, even 1 dedicated slot for crystal kits would be a big improvement, with so many kits available now (which as I say is a good thing), with only one slot even then it would still be pretty difficult to land on the correct kit - but one slot would certainly be much better than the way things are now. I think having dedicated slots for each section to be sold in the Shop Showcase would improve the system immensely. The new Shop showcase and kit system is interesting, but because as I say of the way it's been implemented, there is almost no chance of getting useful kits for crystals ever, so in a practical sense it is almost as if non-tankoin kits have been removed from the game, which is a very disappointing situation. Even for buyers as I say, most buyers are not going to be able or willing to afford to buy a new kit on every Mk level on or every account. Many players in this game have many alts (very few are going to buy tons of kits on all their alts), and some people may buy things such as battle pass/bundles but not buy more expensive items such as kits. Not to mention free-to-play players of course. So I think the vast majority of the playerbase, and that includes all but the largest of buyers, would find the current system very annoying and it could have unseen economic damage when players leave the game or play less because they find parts of the game poorly designed or not as engaging. While I can understand the devs wanting people to focus on Tankoin kits -Tankoin kits will still allow you to get the kit you want any time, at a lower rank even with slightly more available crystal kits - so I don't think overall economically there would be much of a detriment to this idea. In fact it may even be beneficial to the game's income in hard to measure ways, as it will improve the player experience. Thanks for passing my ideas on, I hope they take it on board ? Many other players of course, have suggested pretty much the same thing too.

    Hull alterations are coming soon!

Of course, equally I don't mean to argue with you personally - you're just the messenger and I'm not wanting to shoot the messenger lol. And of course, the devs are surely working on this at the minute and considering what changes to make before release, but I wouldn't have thought this would even get to a public test before it was realised there would be huge problems with this. However, whenever things are released on the public test server they very soon reach the actual game, so that is worrying. Of course we'd have to see when they are released what effect they will have on the meta, but there is just no good reason why we should have new features which act as specific nerfs to certain turrets/hulls/alterations and totally ignore others. This is a fairly obvious way to wreck havoc with the game balance, and there is no effective changes that can be made to the affected turrets to counterbalance this, without a ton of unnecessary work. If they put the effort in to make new hull overdrive alterations this could be an interesting change. I will say however the weight alteration is interesting, especially for light hulls and parkour. Although, you can't really release those hull alterations without other kinds of alteration along a similar line - and really there aren't enough good options for that. The only real logical implementation of this is, as far as I can see, is to have alterations that affect the overdrives only.

    Hull alterations are coming soon!

Btw I should say to Hexed, you've done a great video here and clearly you've put some work into that - so thanks for that and for keeping us informed. However I think it's pretty obvious that hull alterations along this line would be terrible for the game, there's no way this should go beyond the test server. I think I've made my points clear as to why. If they really want to do this then they need to make actual alterations to the hull overdrives themselves, not indirectly apply huge nerfs to certain turret/hulls/turret alterations through poorly thought out changes.

    Hull alterations are coming soon!

That still means this is a large nerf to Hunter, whereas literally none of the other hulls get nerfed. Hunter overdrive has just been nerfed massively too with no announcement. Hunter overdrive currently nullifies supplies for 5 seconds and means they have to re-apply all their supplies with the smart cooldown penalty, so if they have this EMP protection the effectiveness of Hunter OD will be greatly reduced. This is very unfair to nerf one hull, and to heavily nerf 2 turrets while the rest of the hulls, and all the other turrets aside from a few alterations remain unaffected. And why exactly should specific alterations be nerfed either? All this really makes no sense and will make a total mess of game balance. Nice idea but this is like an interesting Idea & Suggestion topic which should be rejected as it lacks foresight into how this will mess up game balance. Why exactly should fire, freeze and Hunter have specific hull alterations against them whereas other turrets (aside from a few alterations) and hulls don't? Again, this is not a fair argument. If you force out a repair kit (it would be very rare and usually pointless to use a repair kit to get out of a freeze effect which will wear off quickly anyway), you've already significantly weakened the opponent and can come in to re-apply the effect, or there is a very good chance their repair kit will be on CD anyway and so your fire effect will do full damage. Having total immunity to fire/freeze effects is plainly ridiculous for those 2 turrets. They can't just switch alterations like the other turrets affected (unless your high enough rank to have access to Incendiary mix for Firebird which many don't). The only way to make this fair for fire/freeze/Hunter and other affected alts would be to buff them all across the board, but then that would cause other problems with game balance making them too OP in other situations. So it just doesn't work. The fact is these hull alteration ideas are interesting but poorly thought out, and this should not be implemented. If they want to bring in Hull alterations they should change the effect of the hull's overdrive - that would be something. Let's take Mammoth & Wasp for instance (not making actual suggestions here but this is an example of how this could work): Mammoth alteration 1: Reduces mammoth overdrive duration from 7 seconds to 4.5 seconds, but adds a 5 second heal-over-time effect. Mammoth alteration 2: Removes mammoth heal on overdrive, however now adds a 75% damage shield for the duration. Wasp alteration 1: Turns wasp overdrive into a Rugby ball which can be tossed, however cooldown is increased by 50% Wasp alteration 2: Wasp overdrive now heals allies as well as dealing damage, but damage reduced by 75%. This kind of thing would be incredibly hard to balance, but much better on game balance than what is proposed. If they want to implement hull alterations they should do so properly - targeting specific turrets/hulls/alterations is ridiculous and this implementation is plainly a terrible idea.
  15. My original post: Hey, currently there are significant issues with the Shop Shopcase feature regarding kits available for crystals which many players have voiced annoyance about. The issues are as follows: Since the MK update there are 6 "slots" available in which we can have offers for Tankoin kits, Crystal kits, Supplies, Tankoins or the "100 free supply" bundle. However, whenever there is a special offer (which seems to be almost all the time) there are only 3 "slots". Combined with the fact that there are now a massive number of kits (which is a good thing), which will only increase with the release of Ares and future turrets/hulls, getting kits for crystals is almost impossible - and getting the kit you actually want is even moreso. In effect under the current system product kits for crystals may as well have been removed from the game, and at the very least checking the shop multiple times only to find that there are never any useful kits available is incredibly annoying. This is a shame as product kits are one of the best features of the game - even buyers will not want to buy kits for Tankoins all the time, on their alts etc. for instance. So I promise the following fair and reasonable changes to the shop showcase which all players would approve of, and actually make the new kit system work instead of the current system which is simply absurb:1) Add 6 "slots" in the shop showcase at all times, regardless of whether a special offer is on or not, and have 2 permanent slots for Tankoin kits, 2 for crystal kits, and 2 for Supply/Tankoin/free crystal bundle deals respectively. This would mean that there is a reasonable chance of getting crystal kits, and all items, though they would still be by no means easy to obtain.2) The same as above but add 9 "slots" with 3 for Tankoin kits, Crystal kits, and for Supply/Tankoin/Free crystal deals respectively. This would still mean these items are by no means easy to obtain, but would give more chance.I think these changes would be a significant improvement to the shop, there is no point in the effective removal of kits and having a very irratating shop showcase system as we have now, which does nothing but annoy players, buyer and non-buyer alike. I think the following changes would be welcomed by all players as a significant improvement to the game.EDIT: And I know this may fall under economic changes, but in this case I think the shop showcase feature is simply not functional at all in its current form and causes everyone frustration. These changes would not be unreasonable and would not be along the lines of "give us extra crystals or gold boxes in battle" they would simply be making the shop showcase feature actually useful, in its present form it is basically not fit for purpose, and crystal kits for instance have been effectively removed from the game.
  16. I see a lot of people have already had basically the same thoughts as I have about the problems with the Shop Showcase system, I posted a thread in Ideas and Suggestions about this, but it wasn't approved as it possibly should have been posted here. So I'll copy and paste what I wrote here so it can be added to the feedback. I suggested basically the same thing, will 6 (or 9) slots at all times, and a dedicated breakdown of slots for tankoin kits, crystal kits and supply/tankoin deals at all times. This would be much fairer. Let's not forget that even the majority of buyers won't be buying a kit at every stage, or on all there alternate accounts for instance - so having a useless Shop Showcase and the practical elimination of Crystal kits frustrates the vast majority of the playerbase, and this will not lead to Tanki getting more money as it will be yet another factor convincing players they should just leave the game.

    Hull alterations are coming soon!

Only the EMP Guass, which very few people have. Yes it will affect some alterations but fire/freeze resistance/immunity will be a gigantic nerf to those turrets as a whole, and the EMP one will be a gigantic nerf to all hunters. While other hulls and turrets are (aside from the odd alteration) unaffected. This is totally unfair, don't see how this could possibly be implemented in this form.
  18. DestrotankAI9

    Hull alterations are coming soon!

I don't understand how this is allowed? This is going to be horrific for game balance, a giant nerf to fire and freeze? Immunity to fire afterburn and freeze effects? And Vulcans who take no self damage? Also there is a hull alteration - EMP resistance, which will nerf hunter, but none of the other overdrives are affected. It doesn't make sense how they can allow these in the game, so we can have hull alterations against 2 turrets and one hull - fire, freeze and hunter, and all the other turrets and hulls will be unaffected? So basically this is a giant nerf to specific turrets and hulls, seems ridiculously stupid. The hull alterations are an interesting idea, such as the extra weight ones etc - but this implementation is terrible. I think they should probably just alter the hull's overdrives themselves and not nerf the effects of very specific turrets and hulls. Of course this would be difficult to balance, but it's much preferable to what I see proposed here.

    Fool Days 2020

Hmm, I appreciate the job that you mods do, but I mean I have to agree with mjmj558 here. I mean why exactly does his suggestion belong in the April fool's discussion thread rather than Ideas & Suggestions? His suggestion is not about April Fool's specifically as he said, he is using the most recent event as an example, he is making a general point that all special events are now in DM mode (or TJR mode) and not in every mode as they were previously. Additionally, no one is going to read a thread about a now finished event which will soon be closed, so by moving it here you have effectively killed any potential discussion on this topic (I wish mods would be a little less trigger - happy on moving threads). I think a lot of players would agree that they would prefer some events to be in all modes like they were before, such as the April fool's event last year. On topic on what you say mjmj, personally I agree that I wish some events were back to all modes and not just DM. Although I do think the April Fool's event was pretty good and other recent events have been good, but it would be nice to have some variety as before and not be forced to play one mode, it does get boring after a while.

    Complaint Book

Hey, I'd like to make a complaint which has been voiced by many other players about the Shop Showcase and the new kit system. The new kit system since the MK update looked like an improvement and an interesting concept, with kits rotating every 12 hours, but what you didn't tell us is that whenever there is a "special offer" available there will be only 3 slots available for kits, one of which is usually taken up by the 100 free crystals. This means that currently, it is basically impossible to ever get kits from crystals, and immensely frustrating for anyone who is trying to do so. It is as if you have basically removed kits from the game except for those willing to buy them with Tankoins, which is a shame as kits are one of the games most interesting economic features and also very important to stay competitive in battle + have a variety of equipment. In addition to this, there are now a massive number of kits (which is a good thing), and that will only be increasing with the release of Ares and future turrets/hulls - the chances of landing on a kit you actually want are virtually zero. Could you PLEASE change this absurd system so that there are at least 6, or 9 slots available for kits in the Shop Showcase regardless of whether there is a special discount on at the time or not, so that there will be at least some chance of getting kits, and the kit that you actually want, there is really no disadvantage to Tanki in keeping this as it is and frustrating players. Even buyers will not want to buy a kit every time - they will sometimes want to buy for crystals, for instance on alt accounts etc. And what are they going to spend their crystals on exactly if not the odd kit as well as microupgrades, modules and drones? I suggest at least 6 slots available, or preferably 9 slots, and if possible to have a dedicated 2 or 3 slots for Tankoin kits, crystal kits, and for supply/tankoin bundles or the free 100 crystals, respectively. This would be a much better system and would bring much happiness and remove much frustration for players, buyer and non-buyer.

    Lockdown 2.0 Event

    Very thoughtful of you lol
  24. DestrotankAI9

    Lockdown 2.0 Event

It's not obvious at first but it's one of the fundamantal principles of Tanki. If you want a strong tank for your rank you need to have a good crystal/experience ratio, if you earn a lot of exp while completing few daily quests or weekly quests in that time you will arrive at a higher rank with many less crystals and a much weaker tank than someone who completed the process more slowly, and took the time to complete more daily and weekly quests in that time - not playing much beyond the quests. Having an increased Exp makes your ratio worse, and also ruins the extra crystals available from holiday events.
  25. DestrotankAI9

    Lockdown 2.0 Event

it's nice that the devs are doing these events for the lockdown, I personally don't think we should really have missions which require you to have specific equipment, but I don't really care anyhow as I'd never play enough to complete these missions. However I have to agree with others - please stop with the increased EXP as this is actually a DISADVANTAGE and not an advantage for players, having 1.5 or 1.75x crystals with the same amount of Exp is bad for your crystal to exp ratio, most of us don't want this. For those of you who don't understand why increased Exp is bad for your crystals/rank ratio let me try to illustrate with a basic example: (1) Normal experience gain: Say that normally over the course of earning 40,000 experience you will complete 30 daily missions and gain 6 containers and 12 weekly containers from weekly quests. So let's say for the sake of example from those daily missions, and containers/weekly containers you get on average 100,000 crystals in total. (2) Increased experience gain and crystals (2x): Now suppose that you have double exp and double crystals (x2). Will you earn more crystals over the course of 40,000 experience points? No you will not, because since your exp rate is doubled in the same time you'll only have time to complete maybe 15 daily missions, and 3 containers and 6 weekly containers in that time. So from those missions and weekly containers you will earn only 50,000 crystals compared to the previous example, without double exp and crystals. Your earnings from battle fund in battles over the course of 40,000 experience points will be the same. This means that you will arrive at higher rank faster, with less crystals, so it is BAD for your crystal earning/rank ratio. (Of course you will complete "earn crystals" quests faster but overall, the effect will be something along these lines). in addition to this there is another factor - during x2 crystal events such as Crazy weekends and Tanki Birthday style events etc as far as I'm aware the x1.75 crystal multiplier of the Tanki lockdown will not be added to the x2 funds for events, so say for the Crazy weekend that will occur during this event the crystal multiplier will only be increased from x1.75 to x2, while we are earning 1.75x exp. So you will be earning practically the same crystals per exp during double funds events as you would outside them during this lockdown event, which makes double funds almost worthless.
