So I've been thinking about the situation Tanki has with players buying for other players. Now, this will always happen. Wether as a payment for a service, a giveaway, or merely a gift. As we all know almost everyone gets hacked by some scammer saying he needs your password to buy you some item from the shop. Now, yes, sometimes it is enough to supply the link to buy, but very often that doesn't work. So people resort to giving their password to strangers. So I thought about implementing a system where you can buy an item from your shop but instead of it adding the item to your account, it supplies you with a promo code, the same promo codes YouTubers get for giveaways or to use. Then you would simply send the promo code containing the item, or send several promo codes to your friend and he would just redeem them the same way you normally would. This solution would easily solve 90% of the hacks tbh... Tell me what you think about this idea. Pros / Cons...

So now there are server updates/restart at 02:00 UTC +0. One minute before the server restart, there is a countdown window that appears. It counts down to 00 seconds then freezes like that and stays like that. And the player is required to reload the page/client to continue playing. There should be a page with either a countdown or simply a message saying, "Servers are restarting. You will be back in the game shortly." And receive a signal from the server when it is up and running to redirect back to the game. This page would have to either be hosted on another server that is powered on only for this short period in time while the server is restarting; or it could be hosted on another hosting service. Like this the gameplay would be smoother and require less user-end actions to get back into the game. :unsure: :)
