Soon... 999. [Part 4]

I looked around and knew I was in trouble. I counted easily six or seven tanks, with no easy way to escape, if it was even possible. Accepting defeat, I slowly backed into the same corner the charred corpse was in. As a Ricochet shot flew and hit my tank, I pressed the Double Damage button. Nothing happened. Looking at the controls, I saw what was wrong; all my supplies were on their cool-down. I tried to back away as slowly and as non-threatening as I possibly could. Maybe they were chatting, maybe they felt bad, or maybe they were just stupid; I didn't know why they weren't shooting at me. I backed away, and decided that if I was going down, I was going down fighting. As my shot loaded, I heard a thum-thum-thum-thum. Commander appeared out of nowhere and started his attempt at saving me with his plasma-torched Ricochet. The horde of tanks all turned and fired almost simultaneously. Knowing he made a mistake, Commander loaded up a Speed Boost and got away as quickly as his Mammoth would take him. Even if he didn't save my life necessarily, he did jolt me back into my senses. My shot had already fired and had managed to hit 2 of the tanks. I drove towards an opening I saw, and begged that my upgraded Wasp would make it. I managed to spot a Railgun loading up his shot; I stopped and swerved, barely missing the shot. I went through the opening, missing the Ricochet bullets but getting hit by a Shaft's arcade bullet. I turned a corner and went as far away from them as possible, but they were right behind me. I looked back and it seemed they had gained some comrades. I counted now over a dozen tanks, all on my tail. I swerved another corner and I saw a teammate. I stopped and typed "HELP" in chat; a dangerous move to say the least. Pressing against my rear bumper, the Railgun shot again and managed to hit me. I ran towards my teammate and then turned to hide behind a building. My teammate hadn't been so lucky. I peeked behind me, and somehow they were managing to keep up. I shot again, and managed to kill 3 tanks with one shot. Practically drifting around the next corner, I found myself in a dead-end. Luckily, I had managed to get ahead of the enemies, but they were not gone. It had seemed as my teammates had responded to my plead of mercy, there were now only five tanks left. Still not liking my chances, I listened to the tanks closing the distance to me. As they turned to corner and saw me, I heard a whirring and a buzz. My overdrive had charged. We can do this.
