  1. My answer too had simple spellings but one name had a tendency to be written incorrectly. And no, my answer is sanctioned by more than 2 Newspaper articles so I can be sure I'm correct. Let's see what happens. ^_^
  2. I had the exact same horrific idea after submission. I guess we're both right. XD
  3. I got just 2 names. Had to submit MiZ0o0 as 3rd despite knowing he was a battle moderator. :p
  4. What if we submit another answer and the previous one was correct, too? Would we get a lower position due to submitting again?

A Guide to Playing Efficiently on TO Mobile

Hello Tankers! Semyon Kirov: Hey! That’s my line! Okay well… Hello Tankers, Tankeresses, Nubs and Molts. In this Guide, the best guide ever made, I will be introducing to you the basics of T.O. Mobile, and explaining how to play efficiently on this misjudged version. I will also be revealing some extremely skilled turret-specific advice from a professional mobile player. Molt: And who can that be? Me, of course. Molt: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Mult. Okay, so let’s make haste and get over the basics. The Controls On the top left corner of the screen is a button, clicking on which will give you the options of going to the garage, exiting the battle, and dropping a Gold Box. On the top right corner is the control for checking the scores of players along with the 'supply wheel'. On the bottom right corner is the fire button, the Overdrive toggle, and the control to align your turret with the hull. On the bottom left corner is the joystick, used to move the hull around, a second fire button in case you missed the first one, and the self-destruct button. Driving One of the most vital things to focus on while playing on Tanki Online Mobile is your driving. I have seen a lot of players driving straight into walls and stuff, blaming the controls, and calling the game incompetent. Let's face the truth: driving isn't all about moving the joystick. While moving, a string of arrows show where your tank is going. Always make sure that these indicators steer clear of any obstructions. For example, while ascending or descending a ramp, turn only when you're midway; otherwise the tank might hit the side walls. Avoid having close shaves with the props of the map as these stall your movement. For light and medium hulls, make sure to move like a serpent. Instead of heading straight, try to add curves to your movements. Again, the arrows will help you in this strategy. Avoid turning on the spot as that can be a moment when you're vulnerable to high damage turrets. For heavy hulls, be extra careful with ramps and turns. Make sure that your tank is driving straight while moving up a ramp. After you have reached above, then turn your tank. As you get used to the controls, your movements will become smoother. While heading towards a particular place on the map, such as a Gold Box drop zone, enemy flag base, or to score a goal, a common problem is getting shot by long-range turrets that are not in your view. Of course, your main focus is on the close-range turrets that are present on the location you are heading to. This leads to a presence of blind spots that you can't view if you're firing at the bases. An important feature of Tanki Online Mobile is that your view of the battle field is not dependent on the direction your turret is facing. Rather, your turret turns towards the direction you are facing. This enhanced battle view can be effectively utilized by quickly swiping back and forth to cover the blind spots and prevent getting killed. Supplies The access to smart supplies in the Mobile version has been brilliantly designed. The ‘supply wheel’, as I call it, occupies very less space on the screen and does not compromise your view of the battle. To use a smart supply, including Double Armor, Double Damage, Speed Boost, Repair Kit and Mines, simply press the supply wheel and swipe to select the supply, as displayed in the pop up. This feature has made equipping supplies so easy that players like me, who were strict non-druggers because we couldn’t afford the time to look at the keyboard and press the correct key, can now use their benefits and drug like hell. It is also possible to "set" supplies which are on cooldown to automatically activate when they are available. This can be done by tapping them during their cooldown. This feature gives a significant advantage as it allows you to keep your hands free to use the controls. Aiming and Firing Firebird: One of the most versatile turrets of the game, Firebird can produce impressive results in almost any map unless it's flat as a pancake. Commonly paired with light or medium hulls, it's a deadly combo that sets the stage on fire. Molt: Better not invite it to the dance floor, then. The essential part of playing with Firebird is to plan how you drive in, tackle the opponent, and then exit. The heating effect of Firebird allows you to first engulf the enemy in flames and then walk off in style, leaving the enemy behind to burn to death. While playing on the Mobile version, be sure not to compromise your driving ability, or you might face the same destiny as your opponent. Keep your left thumb occupied, doing the driving, and use the right one to equip supplies before facing the enemy. In order to turn your turret while firing, you may either quickly turn the free-hand camera and fire as the turret turns, or press the fire button and swipe without removing the finger from the screen. If done right, your tank would literally be a Phoenix gliding elegantly through the map, reducing opponents to smithereens. Freeze: This turret is one that literally sends chills down the spines of the enemies. Like Firebird, it is a close range combat turret that is very effective in all the game modes, be it DM, TDM, CTF, Assault, Rugby or even Juggernaut. Its special freezing effect allows the user to immobilize enemies and then kill them, proving to be a saviour by preventing captures. The vital point of playing with Freeze is to circle the enemy while firing at them. For this, the focus needs to be more on turning the turret rather than driving. If you waste a part of your energy bar firing away from the direction of the enemy, you may end up emptying it without killing them. The opponent can then use a Repair Kit to make a quick comeback. To avoid such a situation, while confronting lone enemies, first drive up to them such that you receive minimal damage. Freeze the opponent while moving for a few seconds, then switch over to the second fire button from the joystick and use the other thumb to keep focusing the turret in the direction of the enemy. This way, you can utilize your energy bar to the maximum and show off your ‘cool’ personality. Isida: A healer to the allies and a nightmare to the foes, Isida is a turret that can be used to its potential in both offensive and defensive gameplay. Along with being the sole turret gifted with the ability to heal teammates, it has the highest damage per second among the purely short-ranged turrets. Unlike Firebird and Freeze, it does not spray out its nanobots. Rather, it shoots a stream of nanobots that make contact and damage or heal the tank. Therefore, in order to kill enemies, it needs to maintain a constant contact. This can be difficult to do on the Mobile version, but can easily be mastered by practising. Its manoeuvres are quite similar to that of Freeze and Firebird. It is advisable to always circle the enemy to avoid damage to your tank. Due to the placement of the fire button on the right, it is difficult to turn the turret, while firing, towards the right. With the new update, you can switch over to the Advanced Fire button Camera Control in the Settings to prevent this and smoothly circle the tanks, both anti-clockwise and clockwise. This turret can also be used to show your disapproval towards a fellow tanker. Are they using the Overdrives just for themselves? Don't heal them! Hammer: Combining a heavy impact force with lots of damage, Hammer is a turret that blows away tanks like a shotgun firing at air-filled balloons. One shot of Hammer is enough to throw off the enemy’s aim, proving to be devastating in close-range combat. With its triple load magazine, it can be used in peek-a-boo tactics to retreat and let the magazine reload. Playing with Hammer on mobile is really easy. If the serpentine motion of light and medium hulls is conquered, you would be able to easily ram into enemies and blast them to bits. The technique of hitting the opponent's tank at the corners to hinder their movement and shake off their aim may require some practice, but soon you will find yourself playing the way you do on a PC or maybe even better. Who knows? Twins: One of the simplest turrets in the game, Twins in the choice for those who prefer to annoy enemies with rapid-fire. A continuous rain of plasma means that your opponent would be left with no chance to recover, allowing you to utilize the impact force and damage to the maximum. While playing a defensive role, find your ideal spot near a tactical point, such as a flag base, and then fire with your left thumb using the second fire button. Use your right thumb to equip essential supplies and aim at any invading tanks. While playing offensive, restrict your left thumb to do the driving and operate the firing and supplies with the right one. Dragging your finger from the fire button will help you to turn the turret while firing. If used properly, Twins is bound to give the enemy an agonizing experience. Ricochet: This turret can be considered as a modified version of Twins. It shoots plasma projectiles that are capable of bouncing multiple times from surfaces such as walls, and hence, has got the name Ricochet. Its shots have a high impact force and are capable of affecting the movement of light tanks, which can be used to prevent captures and scoring of goals. As the energy bar of Ricochet depletes, its firing rate decreases. This means that the wastage of a few shots can prove to be dangerous. That is why, on the Mobile version, you should not keep firing shots unless they're aimed at an enemy. Swipe first to get the right direction, such that the target gets highlighted red, and then press the fire button. Taking cover while regaining energy will make your turret a weapon of destruction. Smoky: A reliable weapon for the beginners as well as the professionals, Smoky is a turret that can fit into any possible tactic in both team and solo modes. The shells it fires leave no traces of where they came from, making it an ideal stealth weapon. The ammunition of Smoky also includes special critical rounds that are loaded randomly and deal high damage irrespective of distance from the target. The Mobile version has a remarkable feature in the form of an aiming aid that highlights the target when it comes in the range of your turret. This allows you to hit the target even from a considerable distance and surprise them with the critical shots. The usual controls imply on Smoky, swiping to get the precise aim and shooting with the fire button. Swinging and knocking off the opponent's aim are important manoeuvres, so keep practising until you are ready to rock the battlefield! Striker: A combination of power and dynamics, Striker is a turret that does instant home delivery of packaged explosives 24×7. It is capable of shooting singular rockets to suit a dynamic gameplay as well as launching multiple targeted missiles in quick succession in the form of a salvo. What makes Striker different from other laser-guided turrets like Shaft is its ability to lock on targets while moving and that a small disruption while locking doesn't restart the whole procedure. Playing with Striker on Tanki Online Mobile can prove to be challenging due to the lack of an instant shot. Targeting a stationary opponent is easy, either with the salvo or separate rockets. While aiming for a moving tank, though, you need to predict its future location to strike it. When using a light or medium hull, use the right thumb for aiming and firing; with heavy hulls, you may switch to the second fire button, while not moving, to be able to use the right thumb freely and lock on enemies easily. Mastering this turret can take time and lots of practice but in the end, you will emerge as the king of the battlefield. Vulcan: Named after the god of fire, this machine gun rains lead on horrified enemies even at large distances. Vulcan has 6 barrels which allow an incredibly fast rapid fire, with absolutely no reload after starting. The turret has a property present in no other turret- the gyroscopic effect which allows it to fire in a particular direction while turning, making an excellent suppressing weapon whose aim cannot be compromised unless the user changes it. The best way to play with Vulcan on Tanki Online Mobile is with a heavy hull. Find an ideal spot on the map so that your turret can cover most of the area, such as on a hill in Massacre. Use the second fire button to shoot, leaving your right thumb free to control and turn the turret and aim at opponents. Aiming and firing by dragging the right thumb on the screen is also an option, but is really inconvenient considering the slow turning speed of Vulcan while firing. In case you accidentally lift your thumb while doing so, you would again have to cope with the delay till it starts shooting again. That is why, the best option is to sit at a vantage point on the map, like an emperor on a throne, and watch as your turret brings chaos and doom upon those unfortunate individuals. Thunder: Just saying that Thunder is an altered version of Smoky would be a severe understatement. It's a Master Blaster! Just as a clap of thunder is enough to frighten the weak-hearted, the mere sight of this turret sends players searching for cover. A reasonable reload time and high damage make Thunder ideal for merciless slaughter. Splash damage means that even taking cover won't save you from its wrath. The controls of Thunder aren't much different from that of Smoky. The free-hand camera comes in pretty handy for taking in the view of the battle without deviating your aim too much. The aiming aid helps you to not miss a single shot. One thing to care about is to avoid self-damage while moving on different slopes. Avoid firing while going down ramps or sloping planes as much as you can. The splash damage and impact force can be used to their maximum by mastering the art of swinging and knocking the enemy's aim. Firing on the ground near a hiding opponent would let them know that cowering behind is not going to help matters! Railgun: Railgun is truly a versatile gun. An excellent choice for both campers who prefer to kill enemies from cover at great distances and mid-fielders that are constantly on the move about the arena. This long range turret can fire through multiple tanks, damaging several enemies at once. After a short delay, Railgun shoots its projectile at very high speeds which make it suitable for peek-a-boo tactics. The best way to play with Railgun on the Mobile version is to immediately press the fire button after spotting an enemy and then turning the turret towards the enemy. The aiming aid plays a very important role here as a missed shot can prove fatal due to the turret’s high reload. Another problem affecting Railgun users is having their aim knocked off by turrets with high impact force and faster reload. To avoid suffering from this, try to align the hull with the turret while firing to prevent excessive turning with impact. Not taking the finger off the screen after getting the accurate aim will keep the camera pointed towards the opponent and would make the gun return to the right direction if you get hit. Railgun in the right hands can prove to be deadly, one-shot killing surprised enemies from far away. Molt: Why this bias towards left-handers? Magnum: Magnum is perhaps one of the most difficult turrets to master in the game, but despite its hard controls, it evidently holds the title of being the most important turrets to have in a team. It can literally take out groups of people in one shot, while not even being visible, sitting quietly behind a small wall in its own base. This turret, albeit requiring real skill to use and master, is capable of completely shutting down an entire enemy team and overturning a losing battle. However, the inability to rotate the turret and working with two variables at the same time can prove to be quite a difficult task for the average tanker. A major benefit of playing on the Mobile version is that the free-hand camera allows you to rotate your view without turning the hull. With this ability, you can run off with the flag, moving backwards and with the camera in your control, firing backwards at anyone who might be chasing you. Other than that, the controls are pretty much the same as that on the Web version. Try hard and get your angles and power set right, and remember that in the end, Magnum is no potato canon! Shaft: Shaft is one of the most unique turrets in the game, sporting a diverse number of features not seen on any other machine. Not only does it have the capability to fire low-powered rounds at opponents, but also allows the user to zero in on their targets through a scope. Under these conditions, Shaft can deal the highest amount of damage per shot in the game, but there are several minor problems that arise when going into sniping mode. When sniping, a guidance laser will begin to appear, possibly revealing your position and scaring away potential targets. Secondly, your tank is completely immobile during this time. That's why, a medium or heavy hull is recommended for use of this turret. When playing with Shaft on mobile, the second fire button can be utilized for sniping as the tank becomes immobile in scope mode. The free-hand camera plays a key role as it allows you to quickly take in the view of a larger area while sniping and helps you to not get caught off-guard. Make sure that after swiping, the target mark is on your opponent as the delay between the camera and turret rotation can mislead you. Leave the fire button only after the cross in inside your aiming circle. The arcade shots can be used to finish off enemies that may have survived your sniper shot. Shaft is really easy to play with, either using it as a sniper or as an arcade smoky. Just make sure to conceal your laser behind walls till you are ready to aim and fire at an opponent. If used well, this turret can also give you a very high kill to death ratio! Extra Rewards Supply Boxes A feature of Tanki Online Mobile is the additional Supply Box that gives you a few supplies or crystals every few hours. A second one can be opened after watching a video. The rewards aren't great, and may be used within a single battle, but free stuff is free stuff! ;) Mission Changes The Mobile version provides you the option to change Daily Missions by watching videos. You can change the missions you don't like indefinitely, if the videos are available, and get your preferred trio! Additional Battle Rewards After finishing a battle, you get a chance to increase your crystal reward by watching a video. Feel you got too less? Double them! Upgrade Speed-ups Another reward is in the form of free 20 minute upgrade speed-ups that you get by watching videos. However, they are limited to a few, mostly 5, every six hours. Sales on Micro-upgrades ending? Speed up your upgrades to get the best out of them! Recap Tanki Online Mobile version may be hard to adapt to, but it matches up to the level of the Web version or the Client. After all, we started as inexperienced Recruits and then developed skills, then why not do the same on mobile!

What do you regret doing in tanki?

I didn't know that different modifications existed. :p I bought whatever I wanted without knowing that I actually needed M2s. Got 2 M2 turrets and no M2 hulls.
  19. The reason I loved Tanki ever since I first played it in 2014 was because there was no differential ranking of turrets. In other games we have guns at different levels with machine guns and shotguns and stuff like that that obviously aren't equally good. Rocket launchers are obviously better than simple pistols. In Tanki each turret has it's own playing tactics and is not just based on damage. Or, in a different situation, imagine turrets being like hulls, having changes only in reload and damage, like the hulls have in their speed and health. That wouldn't be great, no? The message I want to convey is that it isn't about fighting against tanks in the same way as they do against you- the main reason we don't have just 1 turret and 1 hull, but about playing your own way against them. And no, you gotta fight fire with a fire extinguisher. :p
  20. I think that the integrity of different turrets should be maintained, with no alterations that make a turret resemble another. It's already bad enough to have incendiary and cryo rounds and it surely wouldn't help to add rounds resembling Thunder's or Railgun's with slight variations.
  21. Oh, okay. Thanks for the clarification. :)
