Do NOT buy containers! $10000 is not worth the potential reward!

Thought I would share this, since there are certain things that you can have an extremely low chance of getting from containers, and some people may think it is worth the money and/or time to simply get containers, open them and hope for the best gifts, as eventually it will pay off. I will say that I can understand something being 1% chance in a container, at lowest chance. But many videos have shown that the it is nowhere near 1% chance to getting an Exotic item in a container. Based on what I have researched, it seems that the chance for containers lies around the percentage of 0.1%. If I'm not mistaken 100 containers would cost $100, meaning to have a pretty much guaranteed chance of getting an exotic, you would require to spend $10 000 just for that alone, what the hell is wrong with these developers?! You aren't exactly guaranteed, but it pretty much secures it. Randomisation simply works that way, there is always a statistical chance set in the game. Okay, so you are not going to spend $10000 just to get one item, in fact you could spend 100 times less than and still get million crystals worth of stuff by just buying crystals at the most optimal of times + the XT skins that are available from challenges and are guaranteed. So you could just open the containers you get from weekly gifts, right? Well... It would most likely take you nearly 70 7 YEARS to get ONE Exotic reward from a container. You used to get 6 containers every week, which would mean it would still have taken you around 35 years on average to get these but now that availability chance is even lower. Since that, it is rather confusing why they would think to swap container types when the chances of getting top/near top rewards are near impossible until years of opening containers for most players regardless. May be since hundreds of thousands of containers get opened every week or month, they felt people were to lucky with them. Sounds like a rather dumb worry to me. And by the way, you still have the chance where someone might get 2 or more after opening this many, while others will get nothing until may be 50000 containers opened. Just to open that many via 15 container openings, it would require 28 non-stop hours for 50k containers or 5 and a half hours for 10k containers. All the other containers you are more likely to get will give you plenty of extra rewards, which accumulate the stuff you get, however it takes less time to just buy crystals out-right at best possible times and simply doing challenges, which boost your XP too along the way sinc eyou are playing, rather than wasting time on hundreds of thousands of containers to open. EDIT: In all my math doing, somehow didn't notice that 0.1% equates to 1 in every 1000 containers, which is x10 less amount of money and time from what I calculated above, but still hoping for an exotic item from containers by buying or opening them from the ones you get weekly is near impossible.

Micro upgrade and speed up discounts are basically pointless

The wait time for micro upgrading all at once during a sale is included between sales, because they are rare and 50% + 75% sales are so rare that you might as well just micro upgrade gradually now and see yourself get M4s much earlier regardless. That's why I think something like speedups should be removed for a whole day of the discounts to let you save crystals while simultaneously getting MUs faster. Then the discount would actually have good worth to it, something that you do not want to miss. Could encourage more players to buy crystals for the micro upgrades too, tbf.

Micro upgrade and speed up discounts are basically pointless

Good point, but you know that it's going to take forever for a sale to come through, right? And you are only going to be able to get 1 - 2 micro upgrades in during a sale because it lasts only a day. You will take forever to micro upgrade everything from M3 to M4, to a point where you might as well just micro upgrade now and get extra crystals over time with more firepower.

Micro upgrade and speed up discounts are basically pointless

May be, but if you're going to play for a long time regardless, you should be prepared to wait regardless. It's not like it's going to take half a year for all of it to finish. I just checked and it would be roughly 3 months to micro upgrade all for M3 - M4, but it really doesn't matter, point still stands. It doesn't save time if you are saving up crystals for a micro upgrade discount the next time and then spending it all on it. By the time the next discount like this one comes around for micro upgrades, plenty of players could have and would have micro upgraded a lot of their stuff to full or near full already. That's why the discounts are almost completely pointless. You're not saving time, you're just making it seem like you're saving time, when the entire time you've been waiting regardless.

Micro upgrade and speed up discounts are basically pointless

Typical discounts give 25% off micro upgrades and 50% off speed ups if I remember correctly, but during the ONE DAY that they were on sale for TO's 10 year birthday, there was 50% off for micro upgrades and 75% off for speed ups. Here's the thing though. If you waited for this discount, of these two things, to fully micro upgrade something from zero micro upgrades, you would have been duped, because speed ups always cost x2 the actual micro upgrade, meaning that if you were to normally micro upgrade something and wait till the day count finishes, you would have overall spent the exact same amount. You could leave the last upgrade to go through and not speed it up, which would be saving around 90k crystals, but at the same time, most of the micro upgrades still required you to speed them up just to get here, meaning this would not save you much at all. Waiting a month to micro upgrade something gradually vs doing it instantly is not a huge difference in time when you expend the exact same crystals overall and you're going to play this game for months, if not years ultimately. There is just not a good way to take advantage of the discount other than getting to max upgrades just a little bit faster for no discernible reason. So you wait for the discount to spend crystals, or you instantly, gradually do the same thing, and the expense is really the exact same. What is even the point of the discount? I think for it to actually be useful to players, micro upgrade and speed up discounts would need to either: 1. last at least a week or so 2. at least be even more discounted, with like 90% off for both, or 3. have speed ups be removed for the entire day (this imo would be the most favorable option) But I doubt AG would change discounts for micro upgrades/speed ups to anything like this. You could micro upgrade things slowly and micro upgrade your entire garage once or twice during the sales, but the problem is that it would then take decades for you to actually fully micro upgrade stuff in the end. Discounts on other things are useful because they work in a way that if you buy something with a 25% or 50% discount, you will have saved crystals for the purchase, because it's a single one that has no wait times or speed ups of any kind getting in the way. And remember this was with the TO's 10-year celebration discounts. With the typical 25% off for micro upgrades and 50% off for speed ups, you would get to pay x1.75 the amount if you just regularly upgrade, meaning that during micro upgrade and speed up discounts, you would have ultimately spent more crystals than you would if you just regularly wait out the speed ups from upgrading normally.
  7. Oh it's very easy to get hit by a magnum and 2 - 4 magnums PER BATTLE is a red flag that it's excessive, some of the worst spawn-kills are because of it. The reload time needs nerfing. I don't know how the weapon functions when you control it, but whatever the case is, its reload speed needs a massive nerf. If its reload speed wasn't like this, they would be by far and few as shafts were as players who would have them would focus more on sniping down players safely rather than being near invincible.

    Ideas for Missions!

Actually the daily mission system directly discourages players to play more; you finish your missions, and are done for the day. Honestly if players just got more missions as they completed them, you would have way more players playing a lot more. As you don't have to wait till the next day to get more rewards for the same effort. But either way, that doesn't really matter, because what matters is if people buy stuff, and if people bought stuff but barely played the game, well, less servers needed for renting heh.
  9. Funny how you can open up a discussion because you're a staff member in ideas and suggestions section, while the rest of us have to be approved, and then if declined, that's that, make a new suggestion or don't bother at all. On-topic, would be good if Pro battle pass was added. Then everyone can enjoy at times some free battle playing without having to pay for it. Then if you get the pass and play a few games for a day and then come back after a month, you don't regret buying the pass. It's cheap, but can be a real pain in the groin if you don't get your purchase's worth.

    Ideas for Supplies and Drones!

That's really disgusting that people actually liked your post for saying that, what is wrong with you people? It really frustrates me that they waste away batteries doing nothing, so, what if we could disable/enable them with key 7? Meaning that whichever drone you have equipped, you can disable/enable with key 7 to activate the next time. Otherwise, I can just disable/enable it every time I spawn via garage, but it takes so long loading it in the middle of battle.
  11. Nerf Magnum's reload speed to that of shaft's Magnum deals devastating amounts of damage for its reload speed. Faster than Railgun, more like thunder with its reload speed AND deals more damage than it, yet it can function as an arcade weapon AND a "sniping" one. It's already really good at killing things from places where nobody can get it, so why is its reload speed so fast? It's no wonder why everyone keeps using it.

What is or was your dream tank?

Honestly, after buying the voltage kit, Rail + Dictator + Electra seems like the coolest. Sadly it's not an M3 combo. May be Zeus would be a good paint too, though there is an animated version of that as well. Wish Electra had an animated paint version of it. At least based on looks it's my favorite. Functionally dictator is a good hull, but there are hulls with more powerful overdrives. It is good for catching golds too, if not the best.

    Let's Discuss Gauss!

It is an awful concept; mix of thunder and striker. Very uninventive, but quite good in-game. They could have just made an alteration for striker and it would literally be this weapon, it doesn't serve a purpose to exist, it just takes the spotlight off two existing weapons and anyone who doesn't have it and can't afford to have it would just have to stick with thunder. Saying thunder because it's more like thunder than it is striker in terms of gameplay, even though it uses more striker mechanics than thunder ones. So I don't know how to answer this poll. I like the gameplay, just don't think it justifies itself existing when it can literally just be an alteration for striker.

Provide compensation reward for equipment you already have from challenges

Things like paints and color alterations for weapons would provide you with compensation in crystals if you already have the item, in full, so if the paint costs 100 000, you would get that reward. It's only fair, since you paid for the pass, but had bought a paint that is within the challenge list long ago, and simply have let that crystal amount go to waste. At least, if you have the battle pass, then you should get back the amount you spent on both silver and gold tier rewards concerning paints and color alterations. For things that cannot be directly purchased, they should have established crystal worth for which you would get compensation, and the compensation rewards will show how much crystals you got back for them, or just the worth of the paint/color alteration to begin with, so there is no confusion.

    Is selecting different country fraud?

Lol, interesting, guess in only certain countries it is fraud then? Because I have heard you can get in legal trouble for doing this as well. If the other topic can't be found because of an awful search engine, well, not our fault. Lots of topics get lost to time in my experience. We don't know for sure unless someone has proof. If this is not fraudulent by AG's own admission, then it should be fine for someone to test this. Not talking about it in general, but factual function concerning this game's purchases. Yeah but it doesn't give examples of what is fraudulent, that excluding residence switching for purchases. And if what loginci says is true, well, then this is just a moot point.
  16. DeathIsImminent

What if you already own an item from the challenge rewards?

Lets say it's a paint. Do you get crystals as compensation instead or do you just get nothing as reward?
  17. DeathIsImminent

    Is selecting different country fraud?

Because certain countries get things cheaper, MUCH cheaper in TO shop, so when you convert from the currency shown to your own, for instance premium + battle pass is $6 or something, but then you change your location from US to Russia and the value in rubles is lower, so you can get it for $4 if you buy when selecting your country as Russia. It looks like in "how to make a purchase" page it tells you the purchase may fail if you select the wrong country, but nothing about it being fraudulent if it succeeds.

What do I do at this point?

Contrary to what people are suggesting, you've screwed up. Not the worst screw up, but still screwed up. I'm only 1 rank higher than you and as you can see from my profile, I have a pretty good tank for my rank. You can still recover, but it will be a long road for you until you can buy an M2 kit, which btw is the best option. Until you get to Field Marshal, ignore sales and focus on kits. Kits are by far and beyond better than any sales you will encounter as of recent years. Yes, even the 10-year celebration is quite wacky compared to kits that can range up to 75% off in total, if I'm not mistaken. If you are starting over, focus on getting a good M1 kit (I for example got Twins + Viking) and may be getting an M2 kit very early on (I got Railgun and Dictator). May be it is a bit of a screw up for me for getting a kit that is quite the weak M2 combo looking at ranks, as I'm not planning to micro-upgrade until I have M3s as it is a huge crystal waste, but Railgun is by far one of the best weapons in the game due to the versatility in a variety of ranged combat. Honestly, having only one combo as M1 and M2 will save you crystals greatly as you can then focus the left over crystals on M3 kits and later micro upgrades. Once you reach 3 star rank, buy the best M3 kits you think you will want, and then once you reach Field Marshal, get the remaining weapons and hulls as well as microupgrade the M3 ones during sales, then you will slowly get all combos. Trust me when I say that when you start playing with legends, you will not want to play with them until you have at least one M4 set in your arsenal.

    Is selecting different country fraud?

If you select different country of residence and make a purchase, is that against the game's EULA?
  20. DeathIsImminent

    Just sayin'

People are getting bored lol. I got very bored now. It's a drag to get to M3 kits, I have 9 ranks to climb or 7 if I make a real purchase, but either way that's quite the annoying grind as each rank takes longer to get to than the last. So why would I keep playing after this point really?
  21. DeathIsImminent

    Where is Tanki Funds?

It was mentioned in the vlog but no info as to when it is on or where the kit can be bought. I assume real money, and not the 20k or whatever amount crystals added to the fund as price since it's 8 containers, a paint and bloody dictator M2. How much will it cost and when is it on?
  22. DeathIsImminent

    If the Devs Left

The game would not run at all. It requires always-online servers to be running. If the game was dropped by the developers, the servers would be shut down and there would no longer be a game.

    The #NonBuyerChallenge

I got second place. Team lost, but I had a lot of fun this match. Lots of tanks lost to my viking's wrath this day :)

When you finally get the kit you always wanted!

Was grinding my ass off to get to WO5 to buy this kit, but didn't make it in time. And now, it is back! It is probably the best M2 kit to get at my rank in all honesty. Some other kits may be more powerful until when you can get M3s, but Railgun is a powerful weapon either way. Anyone else has had similar aspirations as me? And any suggestions for the M3 kit I should go for? I should mention I have Twins and Viking both M1, so I don't think I would want to have either of those in the M3 kit I get.

    Chat translator

Translation for chat Thought it would be great to have chat translations, even if it's just using built-in browser translator. This applying for battle and normal chat, would it be possible? With html5 version it should be easier, since the version is built up of html elements.
