  1. "According to our data, almost every flash player is playing in pro battles." That's because you bloody took away the ability to play matchmaking battles in flash--over a month ago! These devs and their forked tongue explanations are freaking incredible. Just beyond belief.
  2. Great. So now I have to go into the HTML5 version of my accounts to see what the missions are, and then go back to the flash version to actually play. Since I won't play with HTML5 until you make it less unpleasant to use. You guys never cease to amaze me with your completely disdainful treatment of your player base, and your continuous assumption that we're really stupid. Your explanation for why we can no longer access missions or challenges in flash is insulting. You are not forced to do this. The only thing you are forced to do is drop flash when it becomes discontinued across the board. Making it more unpleasant for players in the interim is just vile and childish.
  3. This needs a bump. It's the most accurate and most perfect thing I've read here in a while.
  4. I almost never quit a battle. I'm a pretty decent player, and if my team stinks (so many players have no idea how to play effectively) that just makes it incredibly easy to get first place on my team. That's 3 (6) stars to me and a substantial chunk of the way to a tier reward worth probably thousands of crystals. So win-win. ? Also, I like being the one player that gives the dominating team a hard time. I've had a few OP kit buyers on the opposite team friend me after a battle because I was clearly the only one who frustrated their waltz through my teammates. Occasionally I'll leave a battle if I get put in one with less than three minutes left. That's unacceptable.
  5. I guess it was in the vlog that they mentioned that supply drops in those low-ranked battles will be removed and replaced with crystal-plus-xp boxes. That hasn't actually happened yet.
  6. Am I right in assuming that buyers can still buy-and-use-in-battle supplies from recruit rank? While non-buyers can't even find supply drops in battle? This just expands in power and extends in time the gap between buyers and non-buyers. This will even more frustrate the players who are unable or unwilling to buy. However, those who could conceivably buy a bundle of supplies will be even more tempted and pressured to do so, right from rank one, even if they are reluctant at first. Don't tell me you cunning bastards didn't think of that.
  7. Hey devs! Are you still reading this 40-page long thread? Good. It is completely unacceptable that my Firebird protection doesn't protect me from the insane afterburn of Firebird's compact fuel tanks. What were you thinking? It's unacceptable that vulcans can run around the map continuously firing from spawn to death. Were you even thinking? While we're at it (going back a bit),, it is also unacceptable that if I take damage while activating a repair kit, it stops the repair kit. It gives a massive advantage to continuous-fire turrets, which are mostly close range. Didn't you already balance their high damage with the fact they don't have range? You guys are continually screwing up the game-balance you yourselves have worked at, solving problems that few people think are a problem while thereby--thereby--causing massively bigger problems. Or by solving a legitimate small problem by heavy-handedly changing large chunks of the game--thereby causing massively bigger problems. The last handful of years are a ludicrous history of this. You guys should really all be fired.
  8. You would think they would have noticed, from their stats, just how incredibly often ctf and rgb games end 5-0. Something is so wrong....But they're all "la de da, this is great. Money seems to keep coming in, so...."
  9. That is exactly what is indefensible and contemptible in the devs decision.
  10. Contemptible. Utterly contemptible. I guess the devs feel that the posters here do not represent the majority of players? If I were Tanki and cared about my future, I'd be very concerned about the contempt that the devs and their non_explanations are held in. Perhaps they feel that we've swallowed so much of their deliberate sh!t already and stuck around, that we'll just continue. I see my volume of play (which was too high anyway) tapering off drastically, starting now. And I PROMISE you I will spend no more money. It was fun; it's still fun; but it's garbage. Because it's coming from same. We do have better things to do, you know. You don't keep abusing your customers and expect them to stay forever. The sad thing is, I'm starting to think that's your plan.

Episode 250 of the V-LOG is live!

Gah! It's making the game a bloody mess. Player comes into battle with Firebird and compact tanks--which is way more powerful than it should be, because our modules have been nerfed. He's reking people. Then he runs into two players who have the new hull alterations for afterburn immunity. Whoops! Now he's nerfed! And is even without his alteration, because Firebird's direct damage is calibrated to the fact it does afterburn, Aha! He equips incendiary mix--which he apparently has to also have, to be viable. So then the hull guys have to put on their Firebird protection modules (whatever its dumb name is.) He's nerfed again. It's a da mn chess match played in the garage, instead of with skill on the field. It's making no one happy but the devs, who are apparently giddy with childlike delight--all except Pony Tail Boy (that IS funny), who is cackilng at how well he's serving his purse-string-holding overlords, who demand an ever-swelling bottom line--okay, this last paragraph is getting wild, but still, it's becoming a bloody mess. Edit: Hey Chaos, you didn't remove any words, so you'll have to tell me which language is inappropriate.

I agree with you. It's a lose-lose situation for the players Firebird and Freeze are getting essentially nerfed, to a growing degree the more there are players who get those hull alterations--and yet the protections against them are also getting nerfed. Pretty diabolically clever, huh? I believe they are trying to excessively complicate our situation. So many things to take into account, compensate for, so many bases to cover, such a chaos of factors--means more crystals spent and ultimately more dollars. I love this game--but I have no faith whatsoever that the devs are actually trying to make it better for the player. None. I just have to flinch and grit my teeth every time they introduce something.

I hope you're right. That is not what was said in the vlog. If that is so, we don't have to worry as much about those hull alterations as I thought. Few people below legend are going to have them. At least for a while. Tanki will continue its slow decline, instead of roaring into the really fast one that I was picturing. Still, castrating firebird and freeze by allowing hull alterations to take away their essential character is utter nonsense.

Episode 250 of the V-LOG is live!

Tanki developers: Could you please make one really genuine, really honest attempt to explain why you are going to make turret alterations effectively unavailable to players who don't have them, or don't have the one they want? Many players do not buy, or continue to upgrade, more than a few turrets--just their favorites, or the ones for this or that account. Getting the right alteration, for the right turret, randomly out of a container is going to be impossible. You are effectively taking them away from those who don't have them yet. But they're already in the game; many people do have them (so how exactly are you helping any balance issues?); and they are a much-appreciated piece of customizeability. So please explain, in words that make sense this time, what exactly you think you're doing? You cannot possibly be this unintelligent.

Episode 250 of the V-LOG is live!

Putting alterations only in containers is so monumentally stupid I can't even express it. Why do they always---ALWAYS--try to fix their own past mistakes by penalizing the players? And why do their explanations for it never, never ever make any sense--at all? It's like the devs are all autistic nine year olds who don't actually understand the context they're working in. (Sorry, RIDDLER; no offence to autists.) It's the disbelief of watching someone drive off a (really obvious) cliff. All I can say is: WTF? I regret ever spending any real money on this game--and I've been spending a small but steady flow since challenges started, and even before.
  16. Please, please, please--you must get red of that red outline when you are 'targeting' an opponent. It is extremely distracting and not at all helpful. It actually degrades my own developed ability to target tanks by eye, and, especially with turrets that need to lead their target somewhat in order to hit a moving target, it's worse than useless. It makes it much harder. I understand the urge to dumb the game down as much as possible for the lowest common denominator, but please resist. You'll just destroy it.

    April Challenge II

I don't follow you. What would we be inspecting? I'm just referring to the tanki paints (not for game-play) that splitterpoint designed a long time ago. You can see them in this youtube video. Just watch even half of it. They're stunning, creative, and very different than the same old same old that the devs keep putting out. They could take some inspiration from him. (Or copy him. Or pay him to use his designs.)

    April Challenge II

Why? Is it because you need a battle pass, which costs real money (or too many tankoins--same thing)?
  19. sunhawk

    April Challenge II

They really need to check out Splitterpoint's old paint designs from years ago and take inspiration from those. They were awesome. He still has a youtube video or two that show tons of amazing ones.
  20. Why doesn't the isida beam look like those ares tentacles in the vlog? That would be way cooler.

    April Challenge I

The legacy skins for turrets are really dorky-looking, but I like the legacy skins for hulls a lot. Why? Because there's no chrome. You get to really see the paint you're wearing. I hate XT skins because of all that chrome and glitter. Too gaudy. I want to see the paint. The new paints are the only fun part of these monthly challenges. And the occasional shot effect. I wish they'd give more of those, more frequently.

    April Challenge I

I really wish you devs would give skin containers where you get to choose/select the skin you get. None of my accounts use more than a few pieces of equipment (it's easier to keep them upgraded that way) and the chances of randomly getting a skin that is useful is always very very slim. I have the same frustration when getting a random shot effect from a container. Almost never useful. How about allowing us to select?

    Let's Discuss Hunter!

If it's a deliberate nerf it's too short. Got hit with it a bunch yesterday; that's how I noticed. It was nice to have my supplies back so quick, but if overdrives are going to be in the game, every hull should have one that is useful and satisfying to use. Beat-able, but usually satisfying. For example I think the mammoth needs a little something more--maybe a little damage reduction while it's on?--and I don't think the titan dome should be deactivated by another dome, not when hunter and hornet and a mammoth--and possibly viking and the wasp bomb if you're low on hit points--can turn it off or get past its effect already. Taking the Hunter EMP down to the level of a turret alteration is lame.

Episode 246 of the V-LOG is live!

Did they ever announce that they shortened the cooldown time on supplies that the Hunter's EMP causes? It's really short now. In just a second or two after you unfreeze you can activate a supply. When did that happen?
  25. I'm guessing it's a reaction to this specific alteration. The gauss is already disliked by many for its hidden sniping shot. And taking one's supplies--as in the hunter's EMP--is no bueno, but we all put up with it, 'cause we all get an overdrive, whichever one we like best. But put those two together? Unfair and unacceptable. You better be a really good player. Cause I'm not leaving the battle. I'm ready to swear a vendetta.
