What to buy? Which is better?

    There's a reason it's the first M1 hull to unlock . . .

What to buy? Which is better?

Twins with alterations is a killer and decent without them. Smoky was hit by the nerf hammer but it is still competitive in m opinion. I think the general consensus is that Twins > Smoky, but I prefer Smoky because of the range.
  3. Fences maybe be ugly but they are good addition in my opinion to prevent getting stuck in annoying ways. Perhaps they can make a new model with the same geometry and replace them.

Kurt Quitting Tanki </3 Thank you all!

Arms Race made it better but it's still boring. 10 maps.
  5. Ditch Standalone Flash and just use Tanki client.

Kurt Quitting Tanki </3 Thank you all!

    Even more boring.
  7. The point of changing these maps was to optimize them for the upcoming matchmaker, as maps need to be balance and fitting for every turret if you can't choose which one you get. I suspect this is also why they didn't bother with thumbnails, since there won't be any thumbnails in a matchmaker. When the changed maps come to PRO battles they'll probably make proper images.

    Ideas for Maps!

If you would look at the right side of your screen, you can see who killed you and using which turret. Mines do not need to be marked, if you have a keen eye you can spot them easily. The whole point behind them is the element of surprise. If you want to hit tanks above you just rock your hull.
  10. I rather like the new Rio. But as with almost all the changed maps there are plenty of Magnum camping spots. I also like that they placed this billboard here to reduce spawn camping. Photobombed by Magnum - literally.
  11. The area between the house and the cliff on Highland, where you could get stuck, is now a self-destruct zone. Kudos to the devs for that.

    What is your favourite turret?

My favorites are Vulcan and Hammer, even though Vulcan is borderline useless now. Hammer has it all - damage, impact force, an interesting reload system, and great SFX. I used to like Isida and loved Railgun but now they've both lost some of their uniqueness. Smoky is quite fun and I think I might consider buying the M3 version one day. I enjoy Freeze as well although I've only used it at the M1 level, don't know how it's like later on.
  13. Mixed. Generally maps that have had minor changes are better/same, while maps with more drastic changes . . . not so much (Tribute is the exception). A lot camping spots were added to maps with major changes, while minor changes were generally quality of life improvements (much needed barriers added in Wolfenstein and other castle maps, removal of the hole in Forest, the passage in Red Alert was widened). Polygon has 3 CP points now, RIP.
  14. Dude, you can play Tanki X right now. It's even on Steam.
  15. Why would anyone do this then? It is borderline sabotage if it hurts their own team. Especially HP healed by repair kit, that would result in teammates potentially dying.
  16. The fact that Magnum has huge splash really negates any sort of requirement to aim. Point in the general direction and you will do plenty of damage. Proper range? You know its maximum range exceeds the size of any map? Rate of fire doesn't matter if you sit behind a wall the entire game and never actually have to fight anyone. Magnum may have a rate of fire slower than Rail but does way more damage. Consider maps with large elevation differences, such as Noise or Silence. As a Magnum you barely have to do anything. A steep learning curve is not justification for a completely broken and OP game mechanic. What happens when you get over that learning curve? It takes maybe a few hours at most to get the hang of the thing. Yes, I have played with Magnum. It's only hard for the beginner, after that you just trash the enemy team.
  17. Critical chance actually becomes negative after you get a crit. Firing in the air doesn't do anything, critical chance only increases with every hit you score on an opponent.
  18. The sad problem is that Magnum users tend to get high K/D but average score, because they kill many tanks without capping flags, points, etc. Magnum is only hard if you are using it for the first time. Striker is challenging because you have to lead your shots.
  19. I'm starting to hate the map changes, why the developers felt the need to add so many camping spots is baffling. Oh wait, Magnum is Hazel's favorite turret, obviously they are all designed around that perfectly balanced, amazing addition to the game. I'm not entirely sure what they were smoking when the changed Industrial Zone - on the one hand they removed they removed cover from the tower on one side of the map, on the other hand they added a camper's haven on the other tower. What the heck. No it isn't. The original Polygon was very well designed in the sense that though there were camping spots, they were not especially good and flushing out campers was relatively easy. Not the case in the new Poly. Second, CTF has been ruined.
  20. I think it would be the other way around. Imagine a buyer who drugs 24/7 AND disables everyone else's supplies, so he is practically invincible.
  21. Yep, it is literally as if they were designed to be Magnum haven. Bring back the old maps please.
  22. I have very, very strong feelings about Silence. To be more precise, I have very strong feelings about Magnum. To elaborate: I really like the redesign. It makes Silence look aesthetically pleasing, adds much needed space and variety the to map, and somewhat mitigates the advantage blue has over red. I'd argue it is the best of the redesigned maps. Except whatever good aspects the new Silence has are completely trashed on by Magnum. Seriously, **** Magnum. The enlarged and protected spawn areas are great for gameplay with all other turrets, preventing spawn camping. But they also make a great spot for Magnums to camp, as if we didn't have enough such places already. As a result, whichever team has the most Magnums wins, because they just shell the enemy base nonstop without EVER having to take damage. Now, one could argue that the old Silence suffered from Magnum spam too, which is partially true, but because there was minimal cover Magnums weren't that difficult to take out. Now it is simply impossible, because of all the hard cover, and to add insult to injury, those spots are littered with drop zones. TL;DR Silence redesign would be great, even excellent, if the piece of trash Magnum wasn't in the game. Welcome to the new Noise!
  23. I haven't played all the maps, but here are my impressions so far. Changes I liked: Tribute, Year 2042. Changes I disliked: Polygon, Industrial Zone. The number of camping spots added on most of the maps concerns me.
  24. It's just 2016 New Year's map.
  25. Apparently Yorkshire is a "brand new map." K den. Looking forward to playing on the new Polygon though.
