It's not due to the update, it's been happening long before the update was implemented. It's the job of Battle Mods to forcibly end the battle in such cases.

Can you please make the chat panel the default panel please? Kinda annoying having to switch to the chat panel everytime I switch between servers or after I join and leave battles. In my opinion the news panel should be the default panel when new news has been posted unread by the user.
