  1. I think I should have been less unconventional with my submission. Meh, I'm to blame.
  2. This was my, incredibly eccentric, entry.

    Ideas for Turrets!

EPIC PLACEHOLDER NAME M0 [Damage] +40/sec [Reload speed] 0.5 [Turret rotation speed] 40 [impact force] 150 [Recoil] 100 [Vertical auto aim] +3/-3 M1 [Damage] +50/sec [Reload speed] 0.5 [Turret rotation speed] 40 [impact force] 200 [Recoil] 130 [Vertical auto aim] +3/-3 M2 [Damage] +60/sec [Reload speed] 0.5 [Turret rotation speed] 40 [impact force] 250 [Recoil] 160 [Vertical auto aim] +3/-3 M3 [Damage] +70/sec [Reload speed] 0.5 [Turret rotation speed] 40 [impact force] 300 [Recoil] 190 [Vertical auto aim] +3/-3 A humorously impractical turret developed by an independant group of engineers known for their strange ideas. This long-barreled turret fires specially designed shells using a large spring. With each passing second, the tension in the spring increases, which in turn increases the potential of the loaded shell. In other words; the longer a tanker waits, the more destructive their shell will be. Thanks to this odd mechanic, this turret's damage per shot has no upper limit, but the tension in the spring must be built up once more. A perfect weapon for tankers who like wait patiently, deliver a lethal blow, and retreat. Tldr; for those who love to risk everything on a single shot.
  7. Kits are things that come and go. Some kits appear in the garage, disappear, and are replaced by new kits.
  8. Well, we aren't talking about a mere coloring book. I think they're speaking pretty broadly when they ask us to color the image.
  9. I worked with saturation, contrast, layering, smudging, blurring, brightness, color balance, levels, curves, threshold, posterization, noise, neon, etc.
  10. So, using a graphics editor, we're allowed to do things like blur, smudge, saturate, etc. the colors we add right?
  11. Is this only coloring? Can you do other things with the art?
  12. It's commemorating a beloved map that was unfortunately removed because it was exploited. It isn't commemorating the fact that it was exploited.
  13. Not really. The key difference between Moonwalker and a paint like Eternity is that Halloween is something that's annual. It's not every year that Moonsilence is removed from game. Moonwalker is unique in the fact that it commemorates a one time event, not something recurrent. That means it makes far less sense for Moonwalker to be in containers than a paint that celebrates Halloween...
  14. Fair enough, but is it to much to ask that the 2013 Moonwalker paint is in some way distinguishable? Like change the Moonwalker in the shop enough so that it's noticeably different from the 2013 Moonwalker.
  15. I'm just going to assume everything you say is sarcastic. You seem like that kind of person. Recycling old assets to make money off of them over and over again isn't good for the game, it's a red flag. It's a telltale sign of stagnation. Nowhere near as much passion is placed into this game by the developers now as before. Moonwalker isn't just a paint; for those in 2013, it's a wonderful reminder of something they love. By having it in containers, you're literally stripping it of its identity. It's no longer a sweet reminder of an old, beloved map. It's just another one of countless paints you can get with real money. On my first account, I got my first gold box on Moonsilence, mourned when its removal was announced, and ground like hell for crystals to get Moonwalker because I thought I was going to get something truly special to remember a map that we all loved.
  16. I spent far too much time making this.
  17. I don't understand. Exclusivity should be something that exists within cosmetics, it doesn't harm balance considering the separation of protection from paints. If anything, I think exclusive cosmetics is an opportunity for the developers not a hindrance. The fact that previously exclusive paints are being recycled is more alarming than anything. It gives the impression that ideas for new paints are running low. I've always entertained the idea of creating paints for the game, having used to frequently draw my ideas down on paper, but I don't know if that ambition could ever amount to anything. I'd love to help, I really would. But I don't know where to start, or if it's unrealistic to even ask. So many ideas, so little possibility.
  18. Remove Moonwalker from containers I don't like the idea of Moonwalker being available in containers. It's was created as a special paint for farewell to Moonsilence, and having it available in containers is kind of a lie on the behalf of the developers. Even its garage description clearly states that it was only available for that event...
  19. Remember when Thunder was unique because it had splash damage? No, you probably don't. Developers decided every turret ever should have splash damage. Remember when Railgun was useful because of its great damage? That doesn't matter now. Developers decided that every new turret should out-damage Railgun. Remember when Smoky was the go-to turret when you needed great rate of fire? You might not. Developers decided to add a turret that makes Smoky worthless with its greater damage and a reload speed that's not even noticeably faster. Remember when Isida was relevant? Developers decided to strip it of its identity and make it outclassed by Firebird and Freeze. The experience that you get from healing allies, if they even let you, is so infinitesimal that it's not even worthwhile. Remember when Firebird was nice because of its burn damage? Nope, you can get burn damage on other turrets too.

    Let's Discuss Gauss!

Here's an in depth review of Gauss: It's unoriginal and broken. I need to face the fact that Hammer and Vulcan are the last good turrets that this game is going to get.

    Let's Discuss Gauss!

Ugh, another one of these. The last turrets added to the game that were good were Hammer and Vulcan. Now they're just introducing powercreep into the game with these amalgamated horrors of turrets. They can't come up with anything new, so they take the aspects that make older turrets special and give several of them to a single turret that makes other turrets completely obsolete.
