Lagging and more. Booted from games several times and "restart required." Why is this happening so often lately? ?
-
I'm trying to like/agree with some of the responses here, but keep getting a "Sorry you cannot add any more reactions today" message. I've never seen this before and I'm just starting my day here, so it's impossible I've reached my limit (I could never even imagined such a thing). Very weird stuff happening on Tanki.

OMG a true miracle. Hallelujah! https://imgur.com/EXhW0He

Sadly -- and predicatably -- no. Nada = nothing. Did you?
-
From my experience with Tanki, it's better to complain proactively. It achieves the same result (i.e. none), but at least it makes me feel better. ?

Last "Party," I won 13 UC and received nada. This time, I won free day of Premium and received... nada. What's not to love?

The disappointing "celebration" and related mayhem are seemingly over, Tanki. I'd like my 13 Ultra Containers now, please. Or is not getting them the "surprise?"
-
I guess the 13 UC many of us "won" a few weeks ago during the Celebratory SNAFU are forgotten?

Why were the latest "Special Missions" closed two days early?

@NikmanGT Thank you. You've been very kind to answer my questions. Have an excellent day. -

@NikmanGT Yes, I forgot what it was called already, but I remember "winning" 13 of the brown boxes. -

@NikmanGT Oh well. Thank you for responding and explaining. Still hoping Tanki delivers on the 13 Boxes I "claimed" during the brief celebratory uptime. -
@rebar619 I brought this up also just recently. I dread getting a "be on the winning team" quest because it usually means having to play 10+ games for this to happen. I can't believe I'm that unlucky, it's surely a poor matching algorithm. Thanks for mentioning this huge problem again.

I was trying to earn some more boxes. When I checked yesterday there were still two days to do so. -
Oh, okay. Max out my equipment (as I've done), play my best (as I always do), and I'll be on a winning team 5% of the time. Completely fair and makes total sense. ?

I just finished 20 consecutive games with the following results: 1 draw and 19 losses (usually 7 - 0 or 7 - 1 scores). I know I'm far from the best player but unlikely the worst. How can I nearly always be on a losing team? Is this normal? It's pretty bad discouraging (and weird).

Here's my complaint. I'm amazed at how incredibly often the teams are so poorly balanced in matches that it's rarely a "close game." I've attached an example of such a game (a massacre): https://imgur.com/a/lCd6kL8. Again: https://imgur.com/a/WEtnY2S. I would say that matches are horrifically imbalanced like this about 80% or more of the time. It always sucks to lose, of course, but more so and more frustratingly when it's because of game mechanics. On top of that, now that the matches' duration has been increased to 15 minutes, such (i.e. most) games seem insufferably long. Cheers.

@LambSauce I totally agree. As they say, "The rich get richer and..." then there are Tanki players. ?
-
Wow. In the relatively short time I've been playing this game, I've seen so many ridiculous, increasingly anti-player decisions and deteriorating playability changes made, my eyes are simply tired of rolling. Now more price increases on the horizon? ?
-
It's all about making money, my friend. This is a business, after all. They've obviously seen some things haven't been big sellers and those will be the ones getting discounted. Anything you need or of value will be increased, like a 59% increase on one day of premium. How cool is that? ?

I just played what I think will be my last game. There's no fun left in this for me anymore. Thanks, all, for the great and helpful comments and best wishes to you!
-
Thanks for that, ghost-guns. I can't honestly say that the changes I've seen have been positive. I remember it being a lot more simple fun when I started.

It never occurred to me that players would assess their chances of winning and bail at the outset of a game. That would explain why matchmaking would place me in a game, sometimes midway through, with a team that was hopelessly shorthanded and outclassed. I'd just tough it out and feel frustrated throughout the game. This would happen far too often, though, and now I understand why. Thanks for this useful insight -- it's almost like a project post-mortem, seeing how players' minds work and the shortcomings of the matchmaking algorithms.
-
I appreciate all your very good insights and thank you for your helpful comments. I'd never thought about abandoning a match if it looked like my team was weak. I would just persist and do my best, even if it looked like we were doomed early in the game. Interesting strategy!

Thanks for saying so, DieselPlatinum. Nice to know it's not just me. ?

Before I retire permanently from Tanki, I'm curious to know if others have had an experience similar to mine. By some miracle, and admittedly some money spent, I've advanced to the rank of Lieutenant-General over many months of play. In that time, I've seen many big changes to the game, including the introduction of invincible domes, devastating nuclear blasts, and most lately, flying tank hulls activated by so-called "overdrives." Here's my issue: when I play, I typically find myself near the bottom of the "food chain" in most matchmaking games, where I'm pitted against seemingly invulnerable opponents bearing ranks far above mine (marshals, legends, archdukes, princes, demigods, etc.). These players can easily destroy my tank with apparently little effort from their incredible weapons, invariably a hidden sniping Shaft or Railgun, or an OP flamer or frosty turret with an unbelievable range. Against many of these players, even three or four shots repeatedly fired from my double-damage enabled Mark 6 turret often seems frustratingly ineffective. The result is a very unsatisfying, seemingly unbalanced game in which it's hard to have fun and progress as a player. I guess it would be fair to say in summary that I've stuck with the game long enough and invested sufficient funds, hoping it would get better for me, but, alas, it hasn't. Clearly I'm not as skilled a player as many people are in Tanki, but I'd have liked to see a more equitable matchmaking system where even mediocre players (perhaps like myself) could still derive some enjoyment in the long term playing against others of a more equal skill/gear level. Whatever the case, I wish everyone well and happy gaming. Cheers.
