This almost seems like being punished for completing the objective, why bother with the jugg when you can just get the same score for 2-3normal kills ?. Im sure there is some behind-the-scenes data to support the decision, but still a curious one.

Interesting assesment. In my experience it feels as a kind of "win button" similar to helios back in the day (not counting big camper maps ofc). Might be because I often play close range, I got used to blasters and always make sure to stay just in range but not to get blown up by them, so they dont seem like a much of an issue to me (plus lifeguard helps aswell ofc).

Good ol' blaster. I guess a similar thing happens if you shoot an enemy that you would normally destroy, but it sets of a blaster nearby via splash and so the kill is attributed to the blaster player instead of you? ? (Could only happen in DM ofc).

People will not leave for any update on its own, but it is true this game has been going for some time now the route of simplifying the gameplay to (I assume) accomodate wider range of potential players, and while I understand the reasoning, not a big fan myself. on the other hand, I admit this might be a nice QoL update for me as a keyboard -only player, reducing the need of maniacally micro-pressing the keys to adjust the aim on longer distances. -

I think it's unfortunate to have mobile and PC players play together in the first place, though I understand separating them isn't an option either. It is hard to equalize the pros and cons of each platform fairly. The biggest difference still is the healing thunder, which happily shoots over allied tanks on even surfaces on PC, while on mobile you can get 100% hitrate with autoaim + autoshoot. I assume this update doesnt address this issue, but will check tommorrow. -
It was an example. I think the preface of this feature’s only purpose being advertisement for the game made you miss the point a bit. As Opex himself also indicated, financially, this wasn't a costly update. Secondly, the yield of genuine new players from this update isn't all that important—you could call it an added bonus for the company. You seem to miss the fact that this is also a sort of event for current players. If they end up reactivating their old, unused accounts or creating new ones, it means more engagement with the game, as they will be completing all those missions across their accounts and thus spending more time within the game. There might also be other tricks hidden up their sleeves that we don’t even notice. As always, they will get valuable data from this - as I said before. Later on, they may add more missions accordingly—for example, rewards for Tankoins bought on new accounts, Twitch promo codes claimed on new accounts, etc. And this is just what I could think of in five minutes. I always find it slightly funny how players insult the Game Team as incompetent, stupid, or unfit for the job. Yet, if that were true, it seems to follow it must be incredibly easy and foolproof to develop and run such a project for 15+ years straight, right?

Well, then it means 10% new players, not bad. And if nothing else, tanki can use this to gather data and make adjustments on the go. There is hardly anything negative about the update, the rewards arent game-breaking, so it shouldnt cause issues economy-wise.

So much hassle with the OD ever since the hull has been introduced... Honestly, I never was a fan of its design, even the fact that its an icicle always seemed like an odd thing for a tank game. I think it would be best to just give it a buffed juggernaut style laser and call it a day.

Yes, I dont play XP/BP but it is the same in MM. My accound is about as old as @Son_Goku's, and I have been playing with keyboard-only ever since. Recently I decided to try mobile to see how the autoaim actually works and I was dumbfounded by how easy to play it is. With the right combo, it feels like a completely different game and strips away most of the skill needed to play. Either way, I returned back to PC now and try to pretend the mobile aimbot doesnt even exist, because it is kinda sad it does ?.
