Ah. Well please don't go complaining about certain messed up mechanics if you are not going to condemn the ones you take advantage of. For me it's simply incendiary mix and hornet od plus sledgehammer and hornet od again. I didn't seek to play these combos sheerly for their overpowered nature though. Both I've had for years. Hornet was my only M2 hull anyway. Also understand almost no f2p player will be able to get the emp immunity to simply block the imbalances the devs add.

Even if Wasp had no counters Hornet OD would still be better I think.

Yes but they are still overshadowed by the sheer power of EMP Gauss/Hornets, and rivaled by all the Vulcans, Magnums, Firebirds, and Thunders.

Hmm... Well first of all you're doing everything wrong if you aren't buying on a 50% sale. So no. Pay 122,500 or don't buy it. Also, I think it may be worth it. It seems to be pretty powerful if you want to camp and mine up yours or the enemies' base. TDM/CTF/RGB are the modes I'd use it in. If you are using it in CP, it probably isn't best and if you camp with it you'd be a detriment to the team. TDM you can straight camp for K/D, CTF and RGB you camp to defend. Take this with a grain of salt. I'm not a Magnum player.

You wouldn't happen to use Hornet+Magnum, would you? Nope, he's more of a Dictator+EMP Gauss type. Probably worse than Hornet+Magnum to be honest. Really loathe when this type of player comes crying on the forum... I mean, they're exactly the type who take advantage of everything wrong with the game, and then complain when their personal idea of what should be meta isn't met. "I still hate Hunter's OD" Ya mean like we hate that silly little toy you like to use on people in battles to take their supplies away? The one that is so broken it undermines their skill and makes it seem like you are skilled when you might not be at all? The one that only buyers can get from Ultra Containers or pay 46.99 for?

You are a special case though. You actually use a turret because you enjoy it. I think the vast majority of players who are buyers these days are impartial to the game itself and are largely going to play with the best gear. They will follow the path of least resistance. Again, this means that they will avoid any underpowered combos or things that aren't the most broken in favor of what is. That is why I get so mad when I see players acting like they truly love the game and then I look into their profile and see that they only use something like Hornet and Gauss/Magnum/Vulcan and have more supplies used than me in a quarter of the hours. I honestly wish they wouldn't play because they aren't getting anything out of the game and are just making it harder for us.

Was playing groups with a friend the other day. We spawned into a bloodbath of a battle. The other team already had full supply Hornets (some with OD WITH 5+ mins on the clock) camping on the bridge area (this was Cross). I asked him if he wanted to leave and find a tenable battle. First thing he says is "no, we can get easy stars here". Stars and only playing to collect them ruins the teamwork aspect and makes people completely apathetic to the whole goal of most battles, unless it's TDM. Some players will still self sacrifice for the goal of the game, but it isn't something I see often. If I feel a battle is worth it and we have the potential to win, I will do this.

For me, I have been using Html5 for quite a while now. I remember not liking the controls at first as they felt different, but I have gotten used to it and am able to play very effectively now. I have also played on flash recently. It has a far more comforting set of features, but there is one problem for me which is a dealbreaker. It consistently runs much slower on my computer now than Html5 does. Otherwise, flash is better. I have gotten my fair share of crashes on flash, but Html5 definitely has plenty of crashes, sometimes many in one day and none in another. The best case scenario for me would have been having them try their best to port the game exactly. I like the super spartan old GUI, I LOVE the old garage, and the old button row at the top of the screen. The flash setup is generally more familiar. If they could combine the good feature set of flash and the great control feel with (for me) the reliability and life expectancy of Html5, I would be much happier. Overall, I find Html5 acceptable but not without flaws. Correcting the errors would be good, so would bringing back the old graphics and color schemes, and background in the garage.

Not every item is equal at the maxed out level though. Freeze for example is far worse and most other opponents on the test server would be able to kill you first. The only thing that the test server ensures is that you will have access to the overpowered equipment so that you can somewhat equalize yourself. It doesn't guarantee a balanced, diverse, or nuanced gameplay. I repeat, it ensures that everyone can take advantage of the dominant meta at that point in the game!!

Play the test server, you will see. It is basically relatively balanced until you either stop using supplies (assuming that doesn't happen) or until overdrives are used. I have seen the test server exacerbate the Hornet overdrive problem. 9999 GS Hornet/Rails with Scout alt are just insane. I'm surprised they aren't a bigger problem in the main game, and I'm happy about it. The other weird thing I think would happen if the whole game got down to the top few buyers is that the combos would be restricted to only the most brokenly powerful ones. I doubt buyers would even use a turret like Smoky for example. I've made this point before, but the game is imbalanced in such a way to promote a checks and balances system, meaning only certain equipment combos really even have a chance at all. For example, I don't think you would ever see a stock Railgun if you were to see a battle of only buyers. It just isn't balanced correctly to be viable in the first place because the alts are so much stronger. I would expect to see: Hornet/Fire Immunity/Firebird/Incendiary mix Hornet/Fire Immunity/Gauss/EMP Gauss Hornet/Fire Immunity/Thunder/Sledgehammer Hornet/Fire Immunity/Railgun/Scout alt The immunities might change and the hull might be swapped for a Hunter (the other strongest hull I believe), but otherwise I believe this is relatively accurate.

I am pretty much saying a similar thing to At_Shin. You need diversity in your garage at high levels. 1 medium, 1 light, 1 heavy hull. That is good enough. Then, work on a few turrets. I am saying it is likely pointless to buy a mk7 kit when it is cheapet to buy the items individually at 50% off. You will have to calculate this to be sure. Work on getting your 3 hulls and turrets to Mk7-20. Protections should be at Mk7-5, as I have found the first five steps are exponentially cheaper. The main thing I would have done differently on your account is getting only one light hull for example. Also, Mk6 protections aren't super strong for field marshal rank. Plus, you only have one true Mk6. I had 3 by the three star rank because I got kits. The best protections are Magnum, Gauss, Vulcan, Thunder, and Railgun.

No sorry referencing @superADIT. I forgot that you also try to upgrade most things though. Your protections seem overall stronger.

Okay, looks like I was wrong earlier because I didn't check your profile. What's your reason for buying a kit when you are past Marshal rank?? I'm sure you can upgrade for cheaper if you buy separately. However, I also see you own a ton of hulls already. I would stop trying to max out everything and focus on a few things to get to M4, otherwise you will strand yourself. I see you also have very underleveled protections, and those are very necessary to have at 35%+ at your rank. Do what you want, but I think you are making a mistake to try and max everything and never buy prots.

Hmm... I don't know what could be going on then. I guess you could print a list and check each one off to see if you get a full rotation before one repeats.

I've done the math and it takes 49 days to guarantee a kit to pass through. 1 every 12 hrs. Not factoring in if ares kits exist. Have to consistently check them. Set an alarm on your watch twice a day or something. I wouldn't go there with him At_Shin. He seems to already be low on crystals and needs a tool to give him some upward mobility. I would recommend he test on the test server at different levels and with alts on Thunder, configured like he will actually use it. When he makes it to marshal would be a better time to buy Thunder. I agree Owl module is better. Thunder is underused compared to Gauss at Legend ranks. All the buyers like Gauss too. Gauss also has the most broken alt in the game. Far better value.

First of all, good luck. Second of all, Gauss. Hands down. Thunder is fine but overprotected against and best by far when paired with Sledgehammer, so Gauss is better value. That and already objectively OP and unbalanced to the point of being the best turret.

I think we both know how that would look... AKA many of the players in Legend rank battles...

The thing which makes drones the worst is that they are so powerful, and every other piece of equipment is different than them. No other equipment actively consumes a difficult to obtain supply. This means although f2p people can get them, their use isn't sustainable. Trust me though when I say that with some decent skills and good protections, you can certainly win still. Drones aren't at all necessary to do well, but on the receiving end of them things certainly do suck. Same with the EMP Gauss alt. Too OP, and buyer locked. We can deal with the game getting more difficult and grindy, but not with the insurmountable obstacles of ridiculously low probabilities (Crisis, EMP alt, Hull alts) and impossible to sustain resources (batteries).

That was meant to be a hard maybe yeah. I mean, Cosmic would recommend, I wouldn't really. Not personally. Only if you upgrade one combo, prots, and maybe that one drone. I don't know who would really want to do that though either, one combo/one turret just bores me to death. That's what I am doing on my alt but on KamiGT it would be way too boring.

I'm excited to finally be able to max out all my equipment. Also kind of scared though that when they release the tesla turret it will be extremely OP and not even available in the garage or something.

Sarim, this certainly IS NOT the sweet spot for the game in terms of ease of collecting drugs. Back before drones and when weekly mission chains existed, I chained a massive amount and collected about 15k of each supply except repairs. The thing about the current mission reward setup is that it seems to require more work and benefit the player less than it did before. For one, you only had to do one mission. Also, containers appear to be worse these days. Plus, before the weekly containers, you got a set amount of normal ones iirc. The other good part about where I was in the game at that point in time is that drugs weren't necessary to do halfway well in battle. These days, it is incredibly hard to play without. For me, at Legend rank, facing teams with 70% 9999 GS players and unlimited drugs, it is extremely hard to not use supplies. That makes it much harder to stack supplies as I had in the past. The pro battle community is also dead enough that it is hard to get most of your crystals that way, so MM becomes more attractive even though it is vastly inferior to no supply, balanced Pro Battles. EDIT: P.S. no, it isn't worth to buy supplies with cry IMO, at least not at Legend. Need to work on your equipment, prots, and maybe even a drone ?. 1k will not get you anywhere, and it's less than pocket change with these massively increased funds. Basically just save and play hyper efficiently in terms of drugging. You will need thousands of supplies for the high ranks, and your only salvation from the 3 star rank and beyond is M3 kits. The concentration of buyers is so high these days that you will not do well with M2. Pick a fun, VERSATILE combo and get it as a kit, then MU only on sale.

I was playing then. I know. WAY back I remember many players would always say drugger or noob drugger in chat and crap like that. Nobody does that anymore, everyone is a drugger now... That is why I say they are balanced. They aren't close to a concern compared to the garbage the devs have introduced recently. Everything is in terms of relativity to other things!
