  1. Thank you. I will make it longer in the next one, as I require the length. By the way, I need some ideas for my next series. Might you give me some inspiration, please?

    I'm Leaving...

Why on earth would someone want to leave? The thing is, for many on the forum, it's - that is, the forum - like an online extended family. People stay here because they enjoy it, right? So, if someone came on here and was like, 'this is not my cup of tea', then surely that person would never be seen again on forum, right? Do you see where I'm coming from?
  3. When is the next rebalance?

End of the world, part #2

If you haven't read The end of the world, part #1, please do so. Anyway, without further ado, read! The next day, Davison Hall was a flurry of activity. The head butler, George Jameson, along with every other butler in the house, was carpet bombing the house from ground level up to the third floor, one bit at a time, with hundreds of decorations and preparations for the next day, which was Lord Charles Davison's 40th birthday. The gardeners were tending the gardens to perfection, the maids scurrying to and fro with laundry, and the chefs were sharpening their knives and making early food arrangements in advance. Lady Eleanor Davison, the wife of Lord Davison, had arranged for her husband to stay at the Hotel Grandem Deversorium in London for the day while the preparations were underway. 6am, The Davison Hall Lord Davison was up bright in early, fulfilling his wife's wishes. She had told him that he needed to get up at 6am and have left by 7am. She had booked him an overnight room in the Hotel Grandem Deversorium and had told him that he had to get out of the family home while preparations for his 40th birthday celebrations were underway. One of the butlers, James Fleming, had woken him according to his wishes at 5:45pm. He was halfway through his breakfast, and still going strong, when the two main doors that served as the main entrance to the dining room were pushed open by none other than Lady Eleanor herself. "Darling! I did not expect you to be up so early, especially considering the party last night!" she exclaimed. "I must make sure that you are doing as you are told, and I intend to do just that. I must also check with the servants that we have everything we need for your birthday decorations.", she replied. "Now you must have your breakfast, Charles, as time is getting shorter as we speak." "Very well, my dear.", he replied. Charles finished his breakfast and then, with a servant trailing behind with his bags, made his way to the Hotel Grandem Deversorium, where he spent the rest of the day making new acquaintances and meeting old ones by chance in the hotel. After dinner, he retired to his room and read a book for a few hours before turning in for the night at the early hour, at least for him, of 9pm. 9:15am the next morning, the Hotel Grandem Deversorium Lord Davison had had breakfast at the hotel and was now leaving it, 2 hours later, after having gotten changed into his choice of masquerade costume, which was for the purposes of the party. He stepped out onto the footpath, where one of the family's three coaches was waiting for him. His Lordship stepped into the coach and was off towards Davison Hall, his family home. About three-quarters of an hour later, as the coach was slowing at the entrance to his Lordship's driveway, Lord Davison, who was still inside the coach, marvelled at the massive sign attached to the crisply cut hedge above the wrought iron gate that served as an entrance to his driveway. The sign, with a silver background along with gold lettering in roman script, read: "THOU OUGHT TO BE FULL OF CHEER, FOR LORD DAVISON'S BIRTHDAY IS HERE". Lord Davison laughed at the simple, but somehow funny rhyme on the sign, and made a mental note to congratulate his wife on the sign, as well as the other decor he would soon find. The wrought iron gate had not been forgotten, as a golden wreath hung in the centre of the gate. Inside the wreath, the number 40 -with the letters 'th' directly beside it - was written once again in golden roman script. Gold coloured silken ribbons hung above and around the gate, outlining its shape. The coachman joined in the laughter, as his Lordship did not mind his staff showing their emotions, as long as it did not impair their ability to do their jobs. He was a kind master, you see, and was respected, and still is, by all his staff. Continue the coach did along the long driveway until it came to the only hill in the driveway, where both master and servant gasped and exclaimed as a result of the wonder of the decorations which Davison Hall was covered in. There were massive gold silken ribbons that were attached, at numerous points overall, to the very top of the front of the house. Lord Charles Davison and the coachman could also see that the ribbons were hung just as high on the sides of the house adjacent to the front, and were of the same description of those out front. The main entrance was adorned in high places by the same gold silken ribbons that were present elsewhere, as well as a sign with a background of silver along with golden lettering in roman script. The sign read: "HOTEL LORD'S BIRTHDAY". At the sight of the sign, once again both master and servant had a good laugh, still marvelling at the decorations. The coach came to a halt by the stairs, and Lord Davison alighted from the coach. He walked up the marble steps of the main entranceway, still marvelling with wonder all the way at the exterior decorations that covered the mansion. Successfully undertaking the ritual of taking out his key and turning it in the lock, he opened the main entranceway. The doorman bowed to and greeted his Lordship, and Lord Davison gave a distracted reply because he was yet again marvelling at decorations, but this time at the decorations inside the entrance hall. Gold silken ribbons hung on the halls and from the ceiling, and a banner reminded one of the deserving reason for the spectacular decor. The party was of the theme of masquerade, and Lord Davison was dressed accordingly in an appropriate costume. The costume was that of a British general of the Napoleonic wars in dress uniform, completely historically accurate.
  5. By the end of next week.
  6. Thank you, my dear @Lose! There will certainly be more coming, probably next week.
  7. Thank you. I have no real complicated plans currently for this series, but it may evolve in some a bit more complex.

The End of the World, Part #1

This is a new series, which will start slow, so please be patient. Without further ado, jump in, and read! The Davison Hall, Dartmoor, Devon, England, 1887 The man walked up the main path, the gravel crunching under his expensive black shoes. He was wearing black trousers, a long, black morning coat, white leather dress gloves, a silk top hat, and a cravat. His tall, gold-topped cane swung with his stride. The path was lined on both sides by roses of all colours. Beyond the roses lay massive gardens, which contained flowers, many of exotic origin. Beyond those lay the vast expanses of that desert of foliage which is called Dartmoor. In front of the man lay his family hall, Davison Hall. His home. As he walked along the path, the lone gardener tending to the gardens that afternoon greeted him, saying, "Good afternoon, your Lordship." "Good afternoon, Alfred", he replied. A short time later, he ascended the stairs to the front door of his mansion. He was greeted by his wife, Lady Eleanor. "Good Afternoon, Charles. I trust your day has been well?" she said. "My day has been well, thank you.", he replied. "It is 4 o'clock, dear, and the party is at 7. Surely we can go for a walk on the moor?", he asked. "Yes", she replied. Off they went, talking about this and that as they walked. As they walked, they passed the Great Mire, a vast expanse of soggy ground, known for dragging anything that came into it downwards, to reside with all the other animals, people, and things that had been sucked into it. After a while, they set off home. When they arrived back at the hall, they changed once again into their evening attire. Charles wore black pointy shoes, black trousers, a black morning coat, white leather dress gloves, a white shirt and bow tie, and a silk top hat. Lady Eleanor wore a red silk dress with copper accents, a bustle, and short sleeves, along with a pair of white silken opera gloves, a pair of shiny red shoes, and a ruby pendant. Then they set off in their Rolls Royce Silver Ghost towards their host, Count Wentworth, and his family home, Wentworth Hall. They entered the driveway that led towards Wentworth Hall half an hour early, to the sight of last-minute preparations being carried out, in preparation for the coming party. A short while later, they were greeted by the Count himself, who had been out for a walk with his wife and had just returned. Count Adam Wentworth and his wife, Countess Maria Wentworth were close friends of the Davison's. The friendship had come about in school, with the Count and his Lordship finding common ground, and striking up a close friendship. The Count proposed that they all might enjoy seeing his small private museum, in the right wing of the mansion. They agreed, and the group whiled away time until it was time for the party. Now, I shan't detail the party, as it is of no matter, nor interest, neither does it have any meaningful relation to my story.
  9. You are both welcome. I trust that you, @tankicola, will continue writing on the AWS?

  13. But is Flexoo a robot at all? He could just be false advertising... By the way, where did the idea that @Flexoo is a robot originate? Tell me the myth of @Flexoo the robot, please... Perhaps I could write a story about it...
  14. I take your point. But, still, you don't get physically scared, do you? Like, do you actually physically react?

  22. How is juggernaut intimidating to any player? It's more just an annoyance to some, and a slightly better tank than normal for others. You don't feel intimidated around the juggernaut, do you?
