Initiative - Creation of the 'AHA' (Anti-Hackers Alliance)
Vigour replied to Vigour in Initiative - Creation of the 'AHA' (Anti-Hackers Alliance) Archive
Following patch update #714, the change It is no longer possible to report a player in the «Parkour» format of PRO battles has now rendered most parkour battles unplayable due to the prevalent hacking that is now officially sanctioned by the game developers. The hacking is as rampant as that of the test servers. Keen-eyed tankers would have spotted that even in the 'Game Reports' section of the forum, the Battle Moderators do not accept reports to do in Parkour Maps. Thus, this has left us with no choice other than to deliver punitive tactics as players ourselves. The Anti-Hackers Alliance, hereby abbreviated as 'AHA', does exactly what its phonic interpretation suggests: the existence of this initiative LAUGHS at the face of Hackers who seek to take the joy of peacefully parkour-ing by laying down thousands of mines, lagging the FPS of peaceful players and generally causing havoc. Here is how it will be done Punitive action #1 - Whilst observing game rules, all players within the alliance will strongly discourage hacking. If the hacker stops, then everything is good and everything will go back to normal. Punitive action #2 - If the hacker does not stop, all members of the 'AHA' alliance will focus fire upon the hacker, hopefully taking them out, and ruining their gameplay experience IN THE SAME WAY THEY INTEND TO RUIN OURS. Punitive action #3 - Tanki Online Developers have made it within a legally grey area by limiting one's ability to report hacking in Parkour battles while also prohibiting the use of third party software within game rules. Thus, users of hacks in parkour mode are illegally breaking game rules, except they will not be punished by the administration, hence the legally grey area. I propose to retaliate in a similar way. I am not suggesting at all that anyone should be using hacks within the actual game itself. Tanki Online rules prohibit the impersonation of administration staff. They are the least likely to hack (Hazeral was a different story). Tanki Online rules do not prohibit the impersonation of normal players. When test servers are open, which, by the way, are apparently not governed by rules applying to the Tanki Online servers, AND IF I SOMEHOW MISSED IT, IS ALSO NOT MODERATED, HENCE A LEGALLY GREY AREA, members of the AHA alliance will change their nicknames to the hackers' actual nicknames within the normal name, and then shoot video evidence of them hacking within MM battles by having multiple players filming the hacker fly-hacking within MM battles. Then, it will be submitted into the 'Reports and Violations' section on the Tanki Forum, with the most appropriate editing to ensure realism, so that it is assured that they will be banned within the real game. Thus, punishment will be delivered. culpam poena premit comes -
Major rework of Player Profiles and Advancements
Vigour replied to Vigour in Major rework of Player Profiles and Advancements Archive
What do you guys think? What would be some cool features that you would like added to the profiles update? -
no.. steampunk is fairly popular in movies and stuff, for example mortal kombat And in other games too like rthe New tardis mod steampunk exterior in Minecraft

We can all agree that without a doubt the game is a shadow of its former self right? 120k online players -> 10k online players don't think of that as a fluctuation, because losing 110k players during peak time is like losing 95% of the entire playerbase Advertising has nothing really to do with it, because i bet 90% of all inactive accounts are under the rank of leutanent, which means people play for a bit and then leave because they don't like it. So whether you like an update or not, you are the minority. The majority has already left the game, thus they have already silently expressed their opinions.

If you had the capability of reversing a single update, which would it be?

That's basically when it became massively based on buyers. Before the introduction of all these masses of new paints, everything was all well and good. However the instant they seperated the paint and the protection module, everything changed, and more and more updates just roll in. In a way I think they used this paint seperation update as a test to gauge the community's reaction. Since they didn't lose all of their players immediately, they continued to implement all these random updates. -
What Is Your Opinion About the Current State of Tanki Online?
Vigour replied to Maf in Game Discussion
The fact that there are 661 patch updates. I get that sometimes you need to fix the balance, but there is no way a few guns and a few hulls would take 661 updates to patch. Besides that I get instantly killed by Mk1s with their crazy overdrives and whatnot. I probably wont ever play this game again unless something major is done about it, might try some of its alternatives like Mytanks to see if its better. -
Hey guys, just came back to revisit the game after a while, and oh my god there is so much new stuff. Anyways, thought I'd hop into a battle and my god, it was the first time I ever saw Majors and Captains together with Sergeants. What is this pairing? I thought the new matchmaking system took care of unfair battles? It seems like its easy to get M3s now, since everyone has them. is that the reason? I can understand why a small amount of players leave, as the game is so complicated now and they move on, but if there are a difference of 13 ranks in a battle, I truely wonder what has happened to this game.

ahaha what an interesting question! Without a doubt my first choice would be to remove overdrives. but if i'm given more choices, well.. the list goes on - Drones - Hovering Hulls - Stun, emp, basically most of the OP augments - The new tesla gun - 3/4 of the new paints which were added (between 2019-2021) that completely caused all the paints to lose value - Critical hits? I mean what is that now? I thought that was only for smoky - Unifying all the Modifications to the old M3 skin - Making a Mk1-Mk7 system that makes no sense -Getting rid of microupgrades - Keeping on adding new skins? I bet if they continue with this, by the end of this year we won't even be able to recognise the different turrets and hulls - Overdrives: Man this is just crazy, have no words for this insanity... (and the list goes on) I feel like the game would be really popular again if all these unnecessary things were removed... but since when do the developers ever listen anyway? -
I agree completely with everything you have said; I just came back to the game after quite a while of inactivity, and the presence of new content is INSANE - and not good content either. I don't understand what a stun is, or critical hits, or emps... the list goes on. I don't understand why they made the game this complicated. I really miss the old simplicity of Tanki Online, which has now been turned into a hot mess that seems only to get worse

The game has been in complete disarray ever since the introduction of overdrives. I know there are mixed opinions about overdrives but as a whole, it completely changed gameplay into a crazy game of 'wait-until-my-overdrive-charge-is-full-so-I-can-instantly-destroy-you'. The other day, I was playing, and I was SHOCKED at the number of paints, skins and shot colors? also at the fact that there is a new modification system. Paints which are supposed to be unique are now nothing. a few of the paints look so similar they may as well be the same. I really miss having a smaller amount of paints which had value, instead of a large cache of paints that mean nothing anymore. I loved the old colors of M1/M2/M3 turrets, even more the different textures. When you save up to buy something, you actually feel the achievement as you proudly show your modification to other players in battle. Now, its all the same and indifferent. I don't even see a point anymore to upgrade, since, as I said before, a M0/Mk1 or whatever its called, can use an overdrive to instantly kill a M1/M2, or Mk3/Mk4. Lets think about this: players used to be upset at the paint seperation update, well, the overdrive update is 1000x worse. I don't know where they got this idea but Tanki is much better off without it. This game used to be about skill and persistance. Now its just crazy, and completely unbalanced. When you look at the map, it is so messy that a billion things are going on at the same time, and I am extremely confused by everything that is happening. Is this really what became of my favourite game?
