Yes, I have played XP/BP, and you can use forester with M2 Wasp. The (stupid) reason you can't use forester with M2 Hornet is that 10% on Wasp M2 makes it have the armor of M3 Wasp, and 10% on Hornet doesn't. You need to use 20/17% protection to equal a Hornet M2's armor to a M3.
