Maaaaaybe Monsieur Chrysalis wanted to say that if we have a 40% sale instead of a 50%, players would buy more and thus the devs will get more money, keeping the game alive for longer. So, even if you like it or not, a 40% sale IS, in some ways, better than a 50%.
