  1. Attendance

    Festive season in Tanki Online!

I second the issue regarding separate days for discounts; why not bundle 2/3 different features for the garage to be discounted for a given day(which im sure they've done before) instead of hulls for one day and turrets for another? I'm neither a fan of the rocket golds or the gold rush with upgrades etc enabled. Never bothered participating in those special modes unless it is a mode where your equipment is identical (eg the hammer/wasp special mode a few months back). Its both fairer and in my view far more enjoyable than getting slapped with Ricochet's helios and any other irritating maxed overpowered combo with upgrades and augments enabled.
  2. Honestly, not sure why Tanki thought it better to give a basic container for ranking up. When they removed the 40k per Legend rank up that led to me taking a long hiatus on the game, even though my garage is far from maxed. Although it is easier to get crystals now, surely a legend rank up deserves a bit more than a trivial container.
  3. I don't see that as an achievement. Far from it. Quite possibly the saddest 'achievement' I've ever seen on this game. I don't understand how that player continues to grind like that with a maxed garage, is there even any incentive to playing so much at that point? I'm not saying theres anything wrong with playing with a maxed garage, its just the unwavering (and honestly concerning) dedication to the game that makes it not a goal to be celebrated, but rather a huge lesson to be learned. People, for god sake, strike a balance in life! Sometimes you need to disconnect from the internet and do something else. Surely everyone plays a couple games and has eventually reached a limit for ones enjoyment (id say more so when you have a maxed garage), and you log off? Come on now, theres more to life than logging on a game, and, more importantly, spending an excessive amount of time on a game. Quite sad in my opinion
  4. To be fair, I don't remember anyone pining for an update to the interface - the previous UI, though most players have become accustomed to its layout since it remained (mostly) the same for years, was arguably good enough not to be tinkered with - I think its pretty good, and if I was to be somewhat critical I could say I don't like the positioning of the supplies. I prefer having supplies in the middle of my screen since it helps with knowing when a supply cooldown has ended. (good thing they gave an option to position them centrally instead!) Not sure if anyone actually uses that circular map to know where enemies are on the top left-hand side, but I sure as hell don't. I do risk speaking on behalf of others when I say I know where enemies are not by using that sensor but by spotting an enemy tank itself. Perhaps they're trying to replicate other shooter games that have it, an arguably more important/useful feature to have in those games when it isn't nearly as useful here. But they have further modernised the interface which I am a fan of. They've also (finally) moved the notifications for whenever a flag is captured/point/captured AND notifications for when gold boxes are dropped. I can't tell you how many times I've been unsuspecting of a gold dropping because of the orange font and its positioning on the far left-hand corner of the screen. But a slight size increase for these notifications would be helpful. Railgun update seems to favour a more versatile and dynamic playstyle? I'm not a railgun user (on MM anyway). But we'll know if the changes are welcomed as time passes. Scorpion is already an irritating turret. AP on critical arcade is a pain, but with every rocket too? Would railgun really have been given a space to be viable with another boost to Scorpion? This may be radical or long-awaited for some, but I think short-range turrets need a space to compete. Not tesla, but specifically Firebird/Isida. Firebird is more or less trash. Compact fuel tanks is useless in most situations since you can have 50% firebird protection and a perfectly timed repair kit to negate any damage. It's then becomes irrelevant when a tank has heat resistance. The magnetic mix augment can be nice, but the burning effect unlike compact fuels tanks is horrible. Isida can be quite good (if you're lucky enough to have vampire nanobots), for which it can be a great turret on the right map, but again most long range turrets if you dont have nanobots can deal with Isidas pretty quickly.
