On your phone go to Settings → Apps → Google Play Store and clear data and cache. Now go back, find the Tanki Online app in the Google Play Store, there must be an "Update" button. If you still do not find it then try scrolling down → "Join the Beta" → Join. Allow it to load for a few minutes. (To play normally the app after the test, you must go back to this section, find "You're a Beta tester" and press "Leave".)

If I understand your question correctly I give you a few solutions; In Lobby Chat; to hide messages from a specific person; Click their nickname → "Hide Messages" In Battle; you can hide the whole Chat by following these steps; Settings → Game → "Show Chat" (disable it) Or you can simply ignore the player's messages and not respond at all.
