People keep saying the fund "failed", but it's actually a total success for TO devs. 1. they made some money off of those who bought tankcoins to buy in 2. By historical standards, this is a great fund, considering how terrible the prizes are. Here are the fund totals before the winter TOA last year (and it has already worn off, since there have been 3 funds since that TOA and a lot of events). Fund 1: 9.2 MM Fund 2: 10.6 MM Fund 3: 15.4 MM If you guys really wanted the fund to fail, you should've worked to keep it under 5 MM.

update Patch Update #747 - Released 1st December 2023

This isn't really ban worthy. it's just lazy code. They can code it so it's actually random (like include a random generator in the code) but that's asking for too much from these developers. -

It looks like getting a kill after 12:30 and then selfing gets you jug. They wrote a bunch of code so that if it takes too long (30+ seconds), it starts randomly assigning using separate logic. Still very abusable (and it's being abused as we speak). Average tanki "update" But, it's not a problem as long as only a few people know how to abuse it, just like everything else in this game. ? -
Everyone look at the person above me and laugh. That person paid the game enough to cover for a good chunk of their salaries but now he can't enjoy the game anymore. So sad! Too bad his mega-purchases reinforced the wrong behavior ?

I don't care how good you are at the game. It takes 40-45 minutes to finish 3 battles for the average f2p player (lobby wait times included). But I also don't have much to tell you. You don't see a problem with spending 5% of your waking hours playing a useless tank game every single day. That's fine, you do you. I live a productive life and I play for leisure, so I don't hold myself to your "bare minimum" of 45 minutes daily. I made a simple statement that f2p players have limited tankoin earnings and it's not worth it to spend it on the junk this fund offers. It also doesn't matter what you say, the vast majority clearly agrees with me looking at how the fund is progressing. Don't skip school playing tanki. I already counted those (with an assumed value of 2 stars per battle). I play for leisure ?. I don't need to do anything to improve the situation on my end. I have thousands of tankoins, but simply stated that the fund offers little value to people like me. I at least value my time and I evaluate what I get for what I pay, so I guess that makes me dumb. But that's totally fine. You are entitled to your opinion, just like how you are free to toss your tankoins into this fund ?

Not everyone plays this game as religiously as you and the other 6 people who liked your post do (but thanks for keeping the game alive i guess). The game is boring. I have to sit through 3 battles where at least 1 (if not all of them) are poorly balanced. Just look at the challenge itself: 15 (days) x 15 (stars) = 225 stars 2 (weeks) x 27 (weekly stars) = 54 2 (ultra weekends) x 15 (ultra weekend stars) = 30 Total = 309 [you can pull forward/backwards a weekly mission set of 27 stars to get 336 total] All I have to do is miss 3 or more daily mission sets and I have to grind extra battles (which I'm in no mood for). I'm sorry but I have a life. I don't have 40 minutes everyday to play a tank games that has been neglected by its devs. This right here is the epitome of why this game will never get better. The devs make a trash event with trash rewards, yet the players are blind. So, who does half the player base blame for the guaranteed abysmal finish to the fund? Yes you guessed it, the players get the blame! Instead of the devs who are greedy and offer things of trash values, the players get the blame. ? Unfortunately, the blind players are not only blind but they are also delusional. There aren't even 45k active players with 1k tankoins. keep dreaming bud. Enjoy your ultra-exclusive mono paints. I couldn't care less if they didnt exist.

There's no reason to peddle baseless conspiracy theories. It's totally normal to not win a fund. Unless you have gone 10 straight funds without a win, I wouldn't raise any suspicions. Personally, I'm f2p and I've gone 1/6 so it's about what you would expect.
-
im thinking really hard about it brother. can i count on you to get us to level 50?
-
we've already gone through this. You can only make generalizations like this when you have a large sample size. A player could enter 6 straight funds (over the course of 2 years) and assuming that the chances of winning are 1/7, there's a 40% chance (almost a coin flip) that they would put in 6000 tk and win 0 times. From the mindset of someone who has only 1500 tankoins, and earns 1500 a year, you don't spend tankoins on junk that you don't even want, even if it's "statistically free". In your world, if the fund cost 1000 tankoins, the chances of winning were 1%, and the prize is 100,000 tankoins, you would also say that it is "statistically free" blah blah blah. But no one in their right mind would buy into such a fund because it's "statistically free". Same logic applies here.

This one is harder to predict since people are holding back, but based on past trends, this one probably finishes around 15 million. Just not a good fund as usual. Sure, it's "free" or whatever but at the end of the day, the only thing worth going for in the first 30 million is just a lottery ticket for the giveaway, which is a 0 sum game. It's honestly sad that the tanki concept itself is good, but wasted by the devs. The current team only cares about monetization and it shows. Most of the events this year (ex. Halloween, last trash fund, rally car, build a tank, etc) are just exercises in finding the "maximum willingness to pay" of the player base. Who cares about the actual game experience right? Yet still, people spend money on this game. Figures. But that's also the funny part of the tanki economy. The more an item is bought/demanded, tanki scales back the offering by either making it more expensive, or making the offering worse. (again, it's all about the maximum willingness to pay). So in a sense, the silly buyers who buy now are effectively sacrificing future benefit. Choose carefully stupid buyer!

update Patch Update #744 - Released 10th November 2023
SvinafellTroll replied to Marcus in News Archive
yes, please do. i wouldn't mind a slower hopper. -
1 day, you'll finally realize that it's supposed to be a disaster. This isn't a mistake. It's supposed to go exactly like last fund, except even worse. The devs know it, we know it. That's the plan. I just laugh at people who complain about the fund, thinking that the devs care about your thoughts and feelings. Anyways, Dear. Tanki Developer, Thank you so much for putting the ultra rare mono paints in the fund again! I unfortunately missed it last time, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to obtain these beautiful, exquisite, stunning, and magnificent paints again. I can barely contain myself when I imagine the power I feel when my tank is able to wear these beautiful colors and charge into the heat of battle. Your Truly, ~SvinafellTroll

too bad the option to pay the game to leave hopper alone doesn't exist or you would totally pay for that (along with all the other junk you buy) ? -
Nice, minigame is working as intended.
