This is a short timeline topic about the tanki history from when I joined to now.
2009
Graphics and the Garage.
Well, back when I first joined we didn't have very good graphics, all the weapons and tanks didn't get a different design when you upgraded the M. The loading screen was also different, of course tanki wasn't well known back then so it was poorish kind of work but it was comforting.
There was also something called "The Hall of Fame (HoF)", this was to let you see your K/D and Ratio and the amount of crystals you have earned through out your career! The reason why they removed it was due to the fact that to many people were joining and it was getting to hard to handle such thing.
Note: There was a glitch back then (and still around) called the purple carbon glitch, as carbon is a metallic color with little dots, sometimes you'd see it as purple.
The best combo and maps.
Combos.
The best combo back then was M3 railgun and M3 Dictator with Digital or electra, the second best was wasp and twins. Let me remind you, Wasp, Hunter, Titan and Dictator were our only tanks for a long time. The railgun wasn't always known as the railgun, it had a different name.
We didn't get to see isida until a couple months after the launch of tanki, it was a new thing and interesting.
Maps
The most popular maps are still pretty active, Monte Carlo, Kungur and Sandbox.
2010
New design and Tanki 2.0!
Tanki 2.0!
This is when the rumors of Tanki 2.0, it was a well thought of plan and I also was looking forward to it and so were other people. The 2.0 designs were crazy and many different pictures were around, I will put some pictures to all of these and the other topics in the end of the timeline. This was also when the new legendary gun "Thunder" came up, the model of it looked superb and was fascinating. Also there was details on the new design of the garage which looked awesome and they also thought of the "Shadow" effect, or now known as Dynamic Shadows.
Designs of late 2010 ( I think.)
The design was cool, it was something new to tanki and changed it. The new design was the last one before the new graphics came along. Also they now shown the different designs on the guns for the M's and the same for the tank.
The fallen members of Tanki Online.
Many people played this and have left now obviously. Some of the greatest well known players of that time still once in awhile come and visit. The people who I looked up to are now gone. Their names were; BlackKnight, CyberButcher, xMotherKiller, BLACK.OCTOBER and more.
2011
The new Tier!
The beginning of 2011 came and rumors of new guns came out. "Thunder" was a Smoky on drugs, "Ricochet" Was Twin's big sister and "Freeze" Was Firebird's worst enemy. Finally, The Railguns big sister came along leaving her in the dirt, Shaft.
The rumors of these came along in 2010 but not to many people thought they would come, eventually in 2011 they came out. They refunded Ricochet and Shaft to make them more powerful.
Shaft at birth actually over-heated, meaning that you can charge it, but when the bar depletes then it would zoom out from over heating.
Current Day!
(2012)
2012 had many things, bad and good.
First thing will be the graphic change, well it's here and you see it. The older graphics were, of course, old. The new ones do not compare to the 2.0 graphics, the 2.0 design was much better in my opinion and a bit more realistic.
Next is the Rebalance. This is an occurrence that was put into mine a couple months ago. Many people were mad about the idea because they thought tanki was cheating them for their money. People have different opinions then others. The rebalance was to change all the hulls and turrets and give them better abilities in the battle field.
Well, there isn't to much to say. Soon it'll be 2013 and a new year, also my 4 1/2 years on tanki :D.
