Has anyone seen the adds lately for world of tanks? I just saw like the 500th one today and so I decided to watch a video of the game and it looks great with graphics but the game play looked as if it was missing something. Post some comments and comparisons between Tanki, Tanki 2.0, and World of Tanks! -

The name is Rottin and well it was spelled wrong this time around. It is supposed to be R0tten, but I was lazy and half asleep that day. Why I chose this name? I have no idea what-so-ever.

How to deal with each turret efficiently and how to use them
Rottin replied to Rottin in How to deal with each turret efficiently and how to use them Archive
*sticky Please :) Info from other sources: Info Alternative sources: king_beast88, ELain_3S. There are many different guns in Tanki Online and each one has their own special attributes. The important thing is though, how do you act with each one and how do you act when you're attacked by one? This Q and A about each gun should help you find out how to survive even the most feared weapons of Tanki. Smokey- Q. How do I use my Smokey correctly? A. The smokey is the first gun you get and appears to be the grandson of today's weapons. If you want to use your smokey effectively, use it for all kinds of operations in all kinds of places. There is no correct way to use your smokey, but there is one incorrect way. Never abandon your smokey for twins when your smokey is upgraded. You may find high level players still using their smokies, that they got when they joined. Just remember- all operations, all the time. Q. How do I deal with a hostile smokey? A. The smokey becomes much weaker at very long ranges so if you can in a short period of time, please do keep your distance. If this is a close encounter you will want to get into cover like you would with any other gun. About half the time though, your best choice is to stand and fight. You're playing Tanki, so don't expect to leave every battle without scars on your tank. Q.Me in a smokey VS a rail gun? A. I agree too, this is a very scary experience if it is your first encounter with such a device. The key to win this battle has to do with strategy, focus, and luck. First, DON"T FIRE IMMEDIATELY! Wait for the rail gun to charge up for it's shot, while it finishes this brief charging, FIRE! This bullet will knock the enemy tank causing it to miss you. Fire one time while the enemy reloads, and repeat. Firebird Q.How do I use the Firebird? A. Glad you asked, the Firebird, along with the Freeze and the Isida, are the three melee weapons in Tanki. They can be hard to use due to their weak range but make up for this with astonishing damage done to enemy units. The key to using these well is the ability to run into a group of 3 enemy tanks on purpose and not scream like a little girl. You will want the fastest hull possible so that you can rush up to foes and pound them with your gun. The two best strategies for these guns are the rush, which is charging into a group of foes. The other strategy is ambush, where you hide in a crevice, and pounce upon passing tanks. Both strategies work well so try them out or come up with your own! Q. I always get killed trying to get around because I can't shoot! A. I hate when this happens to, trust me, we are on the same page! The key is to either travel in a pack or even duos ,or to use the path less traveled. Having a smokey+Wasp escort your M3 Firebird may be a little embarrassing, but it's better than being blown up. Using the paths at the edges of the maps are very useful because for one reason or another all tanks try to avoid them! Q. Dealing with hostile Firebirds A.Do you want the short or the long answer?..... Because I put both. Short- This is very simple and it can be the procedure that saves your life in the battlefield. It's called, retreat. Back away from your enemy as they charge while you shoot. Simple yes, but it works. Long- You can simply back up from the intruder, but sometimes the best choice is to keep your distance and height. Shooting down on several melee tanks is always a pleasurable experience, but sometimes you don't have a choice to do that in the maps like, Massacre. Here you would keep your distance and shoot and simply hope for the best. These powerful guns have many weaknesses, so find them and use them against the user. This goes for freeze as well when I say, try to ambush from underneath at an angle as this is a great way to make it impossible for your prey to attack you, just watch behind you for sneak attacks! Twins- Q. How do I use my twins? A. One of my personal favorites! These guns shoot a barrage of light damage projectiles. This gun can be the enemy's worst nightmare in a time of war. The key to keep it that way is to know how to keep your eyes from tricking you. This gun, believe it or not, has a certain range and if you shoot out of this range, the bullet turns to nothing. If you see your bullets get smaller in the distance and no flashes where you hit the enemy, this is a sign that you aren't even hitting him and that he probably thinks you're pretty stupid right then. Move forward towards the enemy while still shooting to get some hits on them. When you see you are hitting them, don't stop moving forward! As the projectiles turn to nothing they become weaker, so if you are almost at the out of range line, you are doing about .75 of a hitpoint per shot. Use that statistic to keep moving forward! Q. How do I kill/avoid twins? A.If you read the last answer you should know this already. Simply back up and do everything in your power to keep out of their range while you attack. Very simple indeed. I don't like repeating myself, but just like a smokey, you should try to stand and fight. This however doesn't work with M2 and M3 Twins. If they fire green or greenish bullets, beware! Railgun- Q. Handling this big gun correctly is a challenge! A. It is very annoying waiting for the long reload, but when you first get the gun it only should take an average of 1 to 2 hits to defeat almost all enemies. The main idea of this gun is a hit and run technique. Fire, get behind something while you reload and repeat. This gun is meant for sniping so snipe! If you see a teammate that is about to die in the distance, just pick off his attacker(s)! This gun is slow to turn when you first get it so turn your tank with it in dire emergencies. If using rail gun and you're tank is parallel to you're opponent wait for them fire first if they have anything besides isdia firebird or freeze. otherwise you will miss, so charge you're shot while their reloading you'll less likely to miss. or aim slightly off the driection their aiming at you so when they hit you they will only knock you're turret's line of fire into them. Q. I wet myself every time I look down the barrel of one of these! :( A. They are rather frightening, but knowing how to deal with them is half the battle. Simply take advantage of the time you have while they reload. Use this time to do the following: Get crystals/upgrades, reload, be healed by friendly Isida(s), change position to confuse them, and retreat. Changing position and retreating are what I do all of the time! These allow you to get away or shoot the slow moving turret from behind! Some of my favorite moments are when you outsmart a heavy tank and kill it with simple weapons! Isida- Q. How do I use this thing!?! A. Face it fellow tankists, the Isida was put into this game for people to be healed by others. Use this special ability to your advantage and don't go out and fight! Let the fighting be done for you by another tank while you heal him and make him almost invincible! This is a great chance to earn points and crystals, so don't bypass it! However, on the other hand, the M3 Isida is a weapon of great strength so please beware and try to fight only if you want/need to. Q.How do I fight against one of these monsters!? A. Please see the Firebird section for this. I do have a common mistake here for you though. You have probably seen an Isida follow a tanker and heal him as they take your flag! Please, for the love of karma or something, please, kill the isida first!!! I'f you just give the fighter damage then you just made easy points for the following Isida! Also, try using a mine while backing away from your attacker. They will follow you and run over it! A great way to trick them. Freeze Q. How do I use my new Freeze weapon? A. Freeze is very similar to the Firebird we all know and love. The main difference is the extreme damage caused and the ability to freeze tanks in their tracks. Literally! By the time you have freeze you should have some pretty speedy hulls in your garage. I suggest you use these, just like you did with your firebird. If you have the freeze weapon please go and take the enemy flag because you have the ability to all by yourself unless another stronger freeze is there defending. This comes to the other big job that the Freeze is perfect for, defending. Do your best to defend because that big gun can destroy 2-3 tanks. At the same time too! Q. How do I avoid a Freeze? A. I don't have many good strategies for this, but the best I can offer you is to stay away. Freezes are the best weapon in the game not counting Thunder. They are extremely dangerous and 70% of your encounters will be close and personal. The best idea is to stay away and let your big tanks handle it. Ricochet as for ricochet never seen anyone combat them head on without freeze or m-3 isdia best to stay back and if they are bouncing shells get outta the way. Thunder want to avoid thunder? then avoid it, attack from long range if you have equivalent level or higher railgun. also yo can hit them just before they shoot if you are both moving and cause them to miss a few shots but this won't work so good when still fighting I do not have much experience against ricochets & Thunders and I don't have my own to study so please post a comment with a Q and A for me to use and your name will surely be mentioned. Thanks! Each player has their perfect match among these guns and each player has their worst fear among these guns. If you find new wonders or dangers on the battlefield and you have questions please leave a comment! :D -

First of all, happy birthday!- Happy happy birthday from all of us to you, happy happy birthday we got no gift for you! And secondly, it would be cool if you simply bought paint PATTERNS and you spent money on colors too... you could mix and match patterns with defensive attributes with color schemes that you have bought or made using one of those fancy 10000000 colors, color wheel and give your tank your own personal touch. Pattern ideas, Camo large Camo med Camo Small plain plain w 1 stripe plain w 2 stripes flame small flame large electricity heart(s) etc...

M2 smokey, M2 Twins, M0 Dictator, or M1 Titan? I have 115 crystals now and I am not sure if I should start saving up for a M1 Railgun or M0 Isida. (I'm staff sergeant)

Hi there, I have a few good ideas for maps so please take the time to read through them : 1. Wake island Map- What it will look like is pretty self explanatory, tanks could start on the ends of the island and move inward, attacking one another. You could add a fort or something similar to the center of the map to make it even more interesting. 2. Yellowstone- It has come to my attention that no maps of the alien lands of Yellowstone National park or in Iceland have been made yet. I was thinking, a semi-flat area with potholes that tanks can get stuck in all over. A few trees and some large rocks may be in the middle to provide cover. On either side of this area would be some grassy woodlands on hills, where snipers could hide in the trees and destroy advancing tanks. 3.Operation: Asphalt- This would be a nice map for winter and summer, and in tanki 2.0, it would be cool at night. The idea would be that a large highway, littered with cars and tanks, would cross the map diagonally. Each team would be on one side of this highway. About 3 roads would cross the highway from left to right littered with more vehicles for cover. In the grass areas without asphalt over them, one may find large rocks to hide behind or a gas station to find a sneaky ambush spot. A super market or small village could also be a nice touch. To cross the median in the highways players would have to use small ramps or broken parts of the said median. Another idea to cross the median is have one of the intersecting roads use a bridge. Thank-you for taking the time to read this. Let me know how it sounds, or if I sound crazy right now. I just drew a picture of the Yellowstone map. Green=Trees Yellow=health, armor, etc Grey/Black=Potholes and cliffs Brown= Buildings Red/Blue=Flag positions
