The vote function is there to express your opinion about posts, and while it is not perfect(I could list quite a few flaws), I wouldn't complain about it. A "troll" would down-vote every post he can, which I am not. I down-vote all posts that I see which I think are worthy of it(No useful content, or something I don't appreciate). I am not "hater", and am not mindlessly down-voting all posts, I up-vote and down-vote posts on their content. This is one of the reasons I down-vote some of your posts. If you want us to appreciate something you have done, show us some examples, or don't complain when no one is praising you for your non-existent work. You come across very arrogant, and that is never a nice trait in a person, and since I have experience with blender, and 3DS Max, I would advise you not to set your sights to high, it will probably take you a while to get near to what you are describing(also, as far as I can see, you are creating a TO clone, which is probably illegal?). I personally don't think your creativity so far is that great, and that's nothing personal, I have seen only a few things on this forum which I think are really good.

I just did it, and Im sorry, but its not a great quiz. Most of the questions seem to be from recent blogs, newspaper articles..etc, meaning everyone should know a few of them because they have been told, not from their own knowledge. Also, all of the map questions are rather bad, knowledge of tanki doesnt include ability to decipher riddles. Some of the questions were fine, but this shouldnt be called "how much do you know about tanki", since that implys you need a lot more of self-learnt knowledge then is actually required. I agree with lizerdgirl, the question about cost of consumables is rather odd, if you are allowed to look that up, whats stopping you looking everything up?

And now one more pointless one has been added.

Im guessing the three winners were russian? The russian thread has them, aswell as other prizes. If so, then only 1 person was chosen for the English, and no offence, but its not great. The German...well, lets jsut say I dont think that much of it. The first three were good, all of them are definitely good enough to be in the game, bit disappointed that the English had nothing better. This contest could have been a lot better :|

I generally know how many shots it will take to kill each person in the game(without them using drugs), which means railgun can be a very effective kill-stealer(now, I havent played tanki properly for ages, so I am not as good as I used to be). Because it does a fairly large amount of damage, you don't have to time your shot to much, just enough to do no less then the health left on the tank. Of course, that wont always work, but trust me, railgun can be a very good kill-stealer. That said, killing isn't everything. In CTF, just because you aren't on the top of the leader board doesn't mean your doing badly, you could be doing really well. I still stand by my statement, railgun does rely on skill(to be used effectively)(not that other weapons dont), if you havent been seeing railguns at the top, either they arent good anymore, or you arent playing the right battles.

I have seen quite a few Russians on the English forum(and I have gone on the Russian forum many times aswell)... Thats a great attitude. "Oh, someone is being murdered. I'm bothered by that. Better ignore it". I am saying I think this is a bad idea, and shouldn't be done...

Reading. 3D modelling(3DS Max(The program used to create the props and tanks used for tanki)). Scripting(MAXscript(used for 3DS Max), and I am kinda(meaning not) learning three.js (using javascript to display 3d in web-browsers))

ah, ok. If your not sniping, then that does work, but you should still be finding your next target before you shoot. Ahh, I love stadium(havent played new version though, (I think) thats where I got my highest K/D ratio, 99 :D But yes, I agree when camping you need to aim before firing, it also really helps you not getting much damage, if you quickly go out just as the shot it being fired you shouldnt be hit that much time(due to enemies delayed reaction). I have used viking to good effect attacking, but a light hull is normally preferable. Thats good, I have seen many railgun users completely mis-use it :\ Obviously dont play with people of your rank then. I have often played with people your rank and above, using rail and have done fairly well. I have also seen many epic railgun users your rank and above, which can be so effective in CTF, DM, TDM. How much is the smoky m2 crit chance? Railgun requires skill, not relying on chance to kill the enemy :P If you seriously havent seen good rail users, then either you are playing the wrong battles, or there are none :| I often(when I play) see them, and the good ones can be vital in games. Then you cant be a good railgun user. I have rail m2, and I would like to think that I can do pretty good with it(I would like to think I DID do pretty good with it before RB(which is when I was actually playing a significant amount). Smoky isnt bad, but I way prefer rail. If a rail user cant hit you MOST(not all) of the time even with the knocback from another weapon, they arent that good.

Yep, I love it :) First of all, this is the English forum. Speaking English all throughout your posts is a good idea... If the reload time was shorter, it would be OP, and it means you need skill to kill enemies, and not die. First part I kinda agree, but not "jack of all trades", since its not standard simple to use weapon... You only aim after you fire(press the spacebar)?? You should be aiming when you fire, as your firing, and before you fire... You....mean...you STOPPED using it? :o :P I really like railgun, and it can be used really effectively for more then camping(though I mainly just camp), pwning people with it is just so fun :D

Since the maps are made out of props, individual 3d models, not one single one, you cannot get the whole thing in a 3d file format. You can get a .xml file for use in TTT and AE, but that can only be used for those programs, it would not work in a 3D modelling program. You would be able to import each prop individually and arrange them as they are in moon silence, but this would take a while, and could easily have mistakes. Since TTT is freely available, I would advise getting that, but I would check what you can and cannot use it and the tanki props for.

Um...the contest is over... I hope you didnt enter then. A proper maps takes days(well for me) to get a final version.

whaaatttttt Every map? That will be horrible Some maps rely on props and combinations which cannot be replicated with the new props, and shouldn't be. I wouldn't use the new props. If you are correct, then Tanki has made a HUGE mistake, unless they are going to re-do all the old props with the same design as the new props.

Personally, I dont think old maps should be-redone, unless you are actually changing the design. Also, atra 2 with new props? It doesnt really look good, does it? the props it uses ATM work, because they are the same, but they dont give the same tiling effect as the props you are using do, they are more uniform, and without so many obvious tiling effects as the tile props your using(even with changes for the texture, it would still be obvious). But, thats just my opinion, I would rather advise you to do something new though :\
