Thanks :) But If I couldn't give enough time to the contest to actually enter, would I have enough time to actually be a mapmaker(I do have other (more important :P) stuff to do)?
-
Yep. I knew the closing date, but I must have mis-read the actual date, thought I had a few more days left :P Ah-well, if I had entered, I wouldnt have become a mapmaker, it shouldnt be a actual job, its stupid.
-
Oh, its over? thought I had a few more days :P ah well.

The new forum is good :) Also, found out something pretty cool... Yes, I know it isnt the right thread for this. But its cool.
-
what? none of the downloads should take that long.
-
._. You do not need to download the other version of TTT, see my earlier post: If you follow ^that, it should work fine. Also, I would advise you not to use "clear and load" when loading librarys, since if you are going to continue mapmaking, this will be a bad habit. Clear and load REMOVES all previously loaded librarys(not including functional), and just gives you the library you choose. The errors when loading the librarys are becuase there are numerous images missing, and props which dont work.

@Admins, What is the official boundary of Rule 2.18

+1 AFAIK, there is a way to check(only for forum mods) how, when and by who the message was edited(all the times it has been)? But, I still agree. Agree, quieting anyone who complains isnt structure... As I said before, a place to discuss moderators actions would be a much better structure. +1 This rules helps the admins and mods, not players. Seeing that people are allowed to discuss what the admins and moderators are doing would make me feel a lot more positive towards this forumSo I might even think it was close to good. What if the consultant offers bad advice, and you wish to offer your opinion on it? I think telling a moderator of his/her problems(according to the complainer) would help a lot, if the moderator listens. Of course, complaining about a un-fair ban should be to a admin. So the administration dont listen to players? Im not complaining agaisnt you, sorry If you got the impression. What about the link skitee posted? he was banned for discussing this rule. He was not trolling, insulting, raging, spamming, swearing...etc, yet he still got banned. -

+1 So, the moderators can just make sure only they see any negative feedback about themselves by never asking for feedback? how do you know its not necessary? I would say a change in this rule is very much necessary... Would that be discussing a moderators/administrators actions though? The whole game is the result of the actions of the administration. I know that's pushing it a bit, but its true. What counts as content, or actions? I would say the rules are "content", therefore Skitee should not have been banned for discussing them. The opinions of moderators arent actions either, so you how can people be banned for disagreeing with them? If the rules are, then so are the stats of weapons. I know im pushing it, but in my mind, if rules are, then so are the content of the game. OK, but I still think discussion of moderators should be allowed, maybe in another section of the forum, and of-course still with rules, but it should be allowed. I was asking which rules apply to moderators, and which dont. -

So reporters aswell? So you cant say you disagree with what a reporter has said in a article? So, it is as bad as I thought... Can you discuss rules in public, since unlike a moderator, they are not one persons decisions? How can you say you are not allowed to criticise, or express disagreement with a moderators opinion? Which rules only apply to players, not moderators? If the "discussion" only involves 2 people, the moderator and player, its not that helpful, or that much of a discussion. -

Already on max down-votes, just on 2 threads :/ I haven't seen this before, and I agree with what skitee says there. Why(was he), and how can you justify him being banned for that? The rule should either be removed, or changed. In all the forums I have been in, all of them except this one allows users to give feedback on moderation(AFAIK, the CC(casual collective) had a whole sub-forum called "moderator feedback"). Raging against mods for being banned or something should be a bannable offence, but not discussing moderators actions. And thats a excuse? If they didnt check what the meanings of words are before they used them, that is not a excuse, thats a massive problem with the writer of the rules. Obviously not, there are a lot of players who dont know the actual meaning of the rule... If only the mods know the rules, then how are players meant to keep them? No matter how I look at it the forum isn't positive... The moderators should not need protection, nor should there be a rule in place to stop any attitudes of displeasure towards moderators and administration. -
what? you need to load the flashplayer, and open the .swf in there...
-
Agreed, but when are we going to get library's which work properly? The library's are great, but there are props missing, which is a big problem...
-
sorry for repeating myself, but Im going to post everything. It needs to have at least 1 DeathMatch(yellow) spawn point. It needs to be using no props from outside TTT(excluding the function library). It needs to be in the same folder the the "TanksTestingTool.swf" file. It needs to be called "Map". It needs to be a xml file(Rename it Map.xml). It should be loaded in the flashplayer provided(TTT, not the map), other players have had problems using other flashplayers. TTT needs to be working(it works for me).

That is the same thing... if you press the button, you can change properties of certain props, and textures of certain props...
-
I know of no "texture tab"... The properties tab allows you to change the texture on the prop.

^^^ ok, the instructions on the first page make it confusing, and I have never heard of the height of a map being described using levels. Thats exactly what I thought, a clearer explanation would have been good :\ Also, you may have updated TTT, but the librarys still come up with the same error messages. AFAIK, this is causing certain props not to load, which is a pretty bad problem...
-
do you know that for sure? I highly doubt it is literally 3 levels...
-
^^ This is important, if the maximum height is higher then 3, I need to change my map.
-
wait...what? Is the maximum map height 3 blocks? because silence is way higher then 3...I would say about 6-8+ with 3 high, you can only just squeeze in 2 different levels, and silence has 4...
-
Its 27 JUNE, not july.
-
Im sorry, but if you dont know how to use AE and TTT, you shouldnt be entering. One requirement to become a mapmaker is good knowledge of AE, so you should know how to use it. You save it by pressing "file" "export tanks map".
