I like the construction of both maps; hats-off to the creative developers who made them! They probably contain more data than the older maps, hence the low FPS on some computers.

Splitterpoint, you don't understand the frustration that some of the players (including me) are feeling! A year ago, we were anxiously awaiting the release of Tanki 2.0, expecting that many of the bugs in Tanki 1.0 would be fixed and that the whole game would have a new, clean interface replete with new maps. Tanki promoted it, and raised the expectations of the players. That was cancelled due to developer mismanagement, it appears. Since then, all we've seen is redesigned tanks & "technical upgrades" which are hard to appreciate considering the server-side technical glitches. The new maps are unplayable for many players--I've tweaked my settings, following much of the Forum advice, and when I'm alone in Crash or Gallery I get 25 FPS max; and when 7 other players are on those maps, I have 2 FPS max! (On the other older maps I have 20-30 FPS). So, right now, it looks like the developers haven't done such a good job--or else, those maps are designed only for players with gamer-PC's. (It's true that RAM, graphics cards, CPU's, and internet connections are important. My PC hardware is decent; not high-end.) It's possible that Tanki needs to upgrade its hardware also and adsjust the setting on the servers also... Has anyone seen a picture of Tanki's rack of servers, by-the-way? Now, the good news: Leatrix (http://www.leatrix.com/), which reduces latency has appeared to reduce the lags (with spinning tanks, etc.) that I've been experiencing. Players far away from Russia may find it helpful. I just downloaded and installed it this afternoon, so I'm still testing it...

I get about 5 FPS on both maps when many players are there; alone, I get about 25 FPS. There's a lot of discusion about low FPS on Crash & Gallery; does anybody have solutions for increasing the FPS on those maps? Or, is this something that has to be done by the Tanki developers?

KIlaz, you're a forum troll--bite me.

Cheap, you can kiss me where the sun doesn't shine, fool. These problems that tanki is experiencing have been going on for more than a year!! Keep waiting; most of us have been, and the technical glitches have not been solved at all. Furthermore, *****, my when I post about the unneccessary technical glitches, I am angry and I should be--so don't worry about my venom a-hole. By-the-way, I have made some complimentary posts to Tanki also, jerk. As for my dog; she's dead 'cause I broke my foot off in her ass...

Well, well, well. It was just a little more than a year ago when I wrote a complaint about technical bugs and MD21 was a moderator defending the Tanki admin. Haha...

This game is a joke! Sometimes it works; sometimes it doesn't. Loading takes forever, and the new maps give 2-10 fps (good job idiots). If you play Tanki regularly, you will experience annoying and unnecessary technical problems. After playing this game for quite a while, I've decided that the Tanki staff (including the owners) are not investing the money they collect in such a way as to provide optimal player experience. They should upgrade their hardware, for example. (And don't come at me with that "You can play tanki for free" shyte.) I'm looking forward to the day when someone takes this concept of mmog tank warfare and gets it right. In the meantime the jerks who work here at tanki can......

Great maps!! I get 2 fps. Keep up the good work tanki...

Story [Issue 2] Legend Of Sparky: Chapter 1 The Invitation

Keep up the good work, Cablaz! -
I'm going to say this one more time: Something must be done about unscheduled server updates (I'm not talking about the once-every 24 hrs. server reset). They happens unpredictably, usually early a.m., and it is very frustrating when it happens in the middle of a battle! And, I'm not trying to hear someone from Tanki admin tell me that it's a game and so get over it. Players deserve better service and Tanki should buy some state-of-the-art servers. P.S.: My pc is fine and so is my internet connection.
-
The server updates are often unpredictable; they sometimes happen during the middle of a good battle, not just at the scheduled time; that's the point. And, if you're going to advance in this game, dummy, you're going to shell-out some bucks, trust me. So, stop talking about how "free" it is. And, sure Tanki players have other stuff to do, and they do it when they're not playing Tanki, o.k. And, since paying customers deserve good service, Tanki Admin should cut the crap and purchase some state-of-the-art servers!!

Right. I think the higher FPS requires more data to processed, and that somehow slows the speed of the tank from point A to point B.
-
Yeah, yeah, "hardware acceleration"?
Bravo2600 replied to Bravo2600 in Yeah, yeah, "hardware acceleration"? Archive
So now tanki players have more FPS, more clarity; yeah. BUT, the tanks move slower than before! How about fixing that, tanki admin!!! -
its settings -.- O.K., I see it-- settings>display and a checkbox labeled "enable hardware acceleration". Thanx.
-
Maya, you should check your pc hardware: RAM, CPU, and internet connection. The problems you're having are probably caused by insufficient RAM and/or slow internet connection. (For example, an adequate hardware configuration would be 4GB RAM, Pentium 4 or better CPU, and a enhanced DSL internet connection.)

I attempted to right-click on the game window and find "parameters" in the drop-down list, but all I got was the 3-item drop-down list for adobe flashplayer ("settings, global settings, about adobe flash"). How do I find the drop-down list that has "parameters"? Or, is this improvement automatically initiated in some cases? P.S.: When I entered a game (Kungur, 20 tanks total) I did notice an improvement in FPS and clearer graphics. So, nice work Tanki! I'm still wondering about the drop-down list that has "parameters"...

maybe a version that downloads to the hard drive would have been a better idea...

I'm thinkin' that the developers of Tanki maybe erred in choosing Flash as the platform of this game. With the loading times being so slowwww (even with a decent connection), maybe a version that downloads to the hard drive would have been a better idea. Bravo2600 -
I have a suggestion: The admin at Tanki should seriously consider leasing advertising space to international companies. These advertisements could appear on the buildings and billboards that are located on the battlefields. Given the fact that about 1 million people play this game regularly, I think companies such as Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Apple, Nike, McDonalds, and perhaps other international companies headquartered in various places around the world would be interested. Good idea, right? Bravo2600

Thanks to the Tanki creators!

I want to take the time to thank the Tanki creators for putting together a good 3d flash game. Sometimes I have complaints or suggestions, but I think it's important to give a compliment to the producers of Tanki. I have every reason to believe that Tanki 2.0 will be even better! Sincerely, Bravo2600 -

I heal all my team mates and after go with them in attack, where i kill a lot.. I'm always in 1°/2° place and earn every time 150/100 crystal.. Do it 2-3 battle and you earn 450,400 cystal And if you think that weapons should be as in real, you are really FOOL, because this is a game and not the real life! Go out and live, don't stay there to say stupid and useless things. P.S my connection is very good, I have 20.00 FPS everywhere, maybe you can spend your money not to buy better weapons/tanks but to buy a new PC Do that and after you can be competitive... Or not if you aren't skillfull" BarbFenner89: Don't get so mad! Have you ever noticed how your team-mates get shot oftentimes right after you heal them or while you're healing them? You know why? Because Isida is a distraction to the battle. Oftentimes a player will get distracted from a team-mate's Isida for two reasons: 1) It takes a second to determine if it's friendly or not; meanwhile, the enemy is closing 2) Team-mates who are being "healed" by your Isida are frequently standing still when they should be moving. Standing still will get you shot on the battlefield. One way, or the other, Isida players oftentimes hinder the movement of their team-mates. And, yes, sometimes they actually help. Your method of using Isida works for you. But many players like a gun that goes "boom!" like Smoky or Thunder. Some other players like Twins or Richochet. So, good for you; most players get points for shooting just the enemy, but Isida players also get points for "healing" team-mates. In all the battles I've been in, the Isida players were in the minority. Now that we have established that all players do not earn as many crystals as Isida players during battle, we can talk about how those other players acquire the crystals they need to upgrade their tanks. And, of course, they buy them! So, yes it's just a game, not real-life. But it is representative, to a certain extent, of real tank battle. Furthermore, my internet connection is decent as is my desktop pc. And, I have considerable skill as a player. Bravo2600 -

BarbFenner89: That's nice that you have Isida, and blah, blah, blah. You should know that I'm not a Noob, fool. I play well, and I don't try to get points by running around in battle zapping my team-mates with Isida for points--it's something a nurturing female would do. I have a shooting gun on my tank, o.k. And, frankly, I have found that players using Isida frequently get in the way of the shooting. Honestly, when is the last time you ever saw a weapon like Isida on a real tank? And, by the way, I think maybe your point totals are somewhat exagerrated. Everyday you earn 300-500 crystals in battles, huh? So, tell me how exactly that happens. You must be one of those players whose first priority is to scoop crystals instead of shoot the enemy. You should go heal some campers or something. Bravo2660 -
