You are forgetting a simple matter: ease of remembering the password. We're not taling in absolute terms here, we're limited by a human capacity to remember the password.

use a piece of paper to write it down if its hard.

but fact is - if I wear me hacker hat, and you have a dictionary password - you are a piece of cake to crack :)

if you still choose a weak password, well, thats your choice.

I was going to post the same picture as therussian. Pretty much anyone who's tried guessing a password, or maybe using a software that guesses it for them, would know that much.
