shaft is overpowered

You fail. When shaft came out I was one of the first in the english community to say that it was perfect gun, while everyone else was complaining that it is "UNDERPOWERED" Well congrats noobs because your complaints made it overpowered and I'll be one of those m3 shafts to piss you off in games. Peace out!

 

And I never had problems fighting other shafts with freeze/thunder/rico even on my m3 Hornet. So get some skill :mrgreen:

Can you immagine that just the same thing happend to me at russian forums? I got myself a vice-champion in TOF-GT tournament by using shaft only and there were still those noobs, saying that shaft is inferior.

 

Now they crying like babies and I got the Champion paint to kick them even harder :twisted:

:lol: :lol: :lol: It's an expression dude :lol: Actually goes for about 3-4 frames. EDIT - eye frames (to not be misunderstood since some here are very particular as I noticed :? )

If you play shaft you know, what I wanted to tell. On Kungur map you really don't have much time to react. Sometimes happen to shoot own player if he comes too fast by. But still think it is better to turn own team mate on back than allow opponent steal the flag.

 

@kool - yes you right. You can react faster and "eye frames" (I hope this is good expression) remain "problem". If you want explore you will found out nerve signal has speed somewhere around 500 km/h what's actually not so fast but enough for body. Eye are (actually brain are) capable to separate 20 frames per second. After that mowing for our brain is continuous. That's why TV used to have 25 pict/sec. Today with even "100 Hz" TV sets this is history.

There are 2 places to get the flag in FK III, and 3 to get the flag in FK II.

 

Shaft is useless in FK II, enough said. However in FK III, you'll need 2 Shafts to take care of both the ways to your team. That already gets your team 2 men down when attacking. Read above, shaft's reload time is a pain! Easy to bust in, Specially because you can just go behind the buildings and the shaft won't have any idea where you are.

i agree with you cool , in most maps shaft is a difficult gun to play with

Shaft is the sniper weapon with very limited visibility using scope. There are lots of ways to kill shaft. Of course, it's not easy to kill mammoth m3 with shaft m3 who is using protective paint, supplies and isida healer. But it is possible using teamwork. Thunder, ricochet and freeze m3 using supplies combined with good tank are very powerful too. It's all about tactics and skills.

I'm using shaft m3 with viking m2 and got killed a lot by skillful tankman using other weapons. Shaft tactics usually means waiting. Waiting means no goldboxes, no crystals if your team loses. All other tanks maneuver much more. Shaft's scope is slow to turn (even m3) and its moving randomly. This makes sniping targets quite difficult. After shot, loading is slow as well.

I know, it's frustrating for team members to see, that shaft in defense scoring lots of kills using their hard work done before. But without flags - no crystals. And shaftman knows that. Only hope is, that his/her team is good enough to deliver flags and shaftman must support team on that.

yes correct. i will probably repeat what was said but u all say that shaft has small visibility, and useless in most of maps. maybe yes, but most maps are based on long distanced and opened areas. sheporov, kunngur, silence. yes silence, i ll give you an example, i was just playing a match (1 - 2 hours ago) on silence and i joined team with 14 flags. limit was 15. for almost hour we were trying to get this one flag. why? all because of ONE shaft tank who was making right way to flag completly unable to go on. at last he had about 120 kills to 9 deaths.. so now say me if it isnt overpowered weapon what is it? stp saying skill, skill , you must shoot him in one side, because its not to easy if you die on one shot. strategy and hull isnt important. on silence shaft rules and unfortunaltely this is the most often played map what makes problem. i remeber when richochet appeared some people was crying its overpowered etc. but before shaft was made all weapons were really balanced and every needed other strategy and skill of course. now say - where is skill and fun from staying for 2 hours in one place, seeing just a circle of area and clicking every time when a tank appears? you say to those who think its overpwred - "so start using it". they wont cause they are cleverer than you and want to have fun from game and give this fun to other players as well. and if everybody would have a shaft what do you think, how would game look like? nobody would move because this is shafts strategy. all tanks would stay in one place. is this what tankionline are going to be? and mods stop saying "get jade, get skill" because as somebody said its not about paint, skill or hull just about shaft's overpower. when i started playing it i enjoyed it because it looked really nice, but i see now that adinistarators are goind the same way that i have stopped playing before of one reason: they want to have a lot money from the game so still give more powerful and more powerful items on high price. what will be next? firebird destryoing every tank in 2 sec? turret with atom bombs? please, this game had potential and stop wasting it. if it wont stop i think im gonna start playing world of tanks..

You might think that I was over powered or something but I bet even you can guess a million ways to kill me when I am doing that. I had to constantly move around to avoid being killed by the enemy Shaft and Thunders.

In this case strategy is important. And if on Silence is only one shaft the way is simple - you can't attack alone - you need at least 3 tanks - including that one which become "shafts breakfast" :P

but what if there re 2 shafts? and remeber its not so easy to attack "3 tanks" due to the fact that there re usually not only shatftank/s but also some other so such an attack is uneffective. also see this one, i will leave it without comment:

I completely agree. The thing is, the more u rank up the more booring it gets. U have to use tons of more and more money to stay competitive, same time you have to accept that the game has one overpowered gun that makes every other tanks toys. I am not sure if I will buy shaft, but I know that if I dont, the game is ******ed to play.

 

Btw. I think prices are mad. Hundreds of dollars to put in VIRTUAL features in a tank??? I think a highly tuned tank should not cost more than 20 dollars and the drugs should not exist in the garage, only as drop ins during the game.

The reason that you hate shaft, is the same reason that warriors have always hated 'snipers'.

For hundreds of years warriors have cut the fingers off 'snipers' that they capture.

Why?

Because one, single sniper can hold an whole army up for days, because the army is afraid to move.

 

You might find it boring - some of us find it 'interesting' to find the right spot and 'hold your whole team up' - virtually alone.

 

Whoa betide us snipers if you get to us though - then we have absolutely no defence because you are 'over-powered' at close range.

 

Look at the sniper rifle; it kills (one shot) every soldier it hits. Why? Because it's more accurate over long distance and all shots are head-shots.

Find a sniper when you have a little hand-gun - and he's dead - right?

 

This is war, this is how war is fought in the real world. Get used to it.

 

Shaft is powered right - for a sniper.

what if there was a shaft clan?

and then decleare a war on them at desert, CTF... no supplies.

I bet the players with everything but shaft on their tanks are getting beaten up like (...) :mrgreen:
