All these "improvements" are killing this game!

Now I only get 8-12 FPS? Here's a great idea, why don't the developers of Tanki improve the damn FPS? This used to be a very enjoyable game, but they've killed it for me. And don't blame my computer for the low FPS either!

Yes, I am familiar with "How to raise your FPS". I did what they specified and ~nothing~ changed for me!. I know it has nothing to do with my computer but Tanki's, since in the past the FPS was much higher than it now is. They need to fix this problem, because it is Tanki's problem.

this boosted my FPS up from 12 to 50 :P

turn off adaptive FPS, skybox, mipmapping, shadows and soft particles

now your settings should look like this:

this worked for me, i hope it works for you :D

also, make sure that your hardware acceleration is switched on :P

I've turned off adaptive FPS, skybox, and mip-mapping. I don't have the buttons for Shadows and Soft Particles (I am using both Google Chrome and SRWare Iron browsers). It makes very little difference, since the best I get 12 FPS. Try playing the game with this and lower FPS! They killed this game for me.

 

Why not have the option of Tanki Classic and The New Tanki? Classic is better because it worked for me, and the graphics and tank design are much more appealing to an adult like myself.

I spoke too soon! Now even on the Standalone Flash Player the FPS is down to 12 F.P.S! What am I supposed to do now? The is sickening.

make sure all other programs are closed make sure you have good connection and I know it might be your favorite but for now play smaller maps as you normally have better fps in them!

It was the only program running (the Standalone Flash Player with Tanki) and 12 FPS was the best, like the brower it was usually around 5-6 FPS.

Then it may depend from your connection speed or from your computer. If you have an old computer, that's why. If your pc is new or have good processor (With Intel Core 1.5 it should be running about 40 fps average) then it depends from your connection.

My connection speed when downloading files is 124 KB/sec; more than enough. My computer is not old; besides I was getting 30-40 F.P.S. when I first played tanki using the standalone flash player. The second time I played it was no better than using a browser. I seriously doubt that I am the only one experiencing these problems. I miss the old Tanki which had more realistic tank designs and a much better F.P.S. I have tried everything suggested and nothing appears to be working.

UPDATE: I uninstalled the Adobe Standalone flash player and downloaded & installed it again. Just like the first time, the F.P.S. was usually in the 30-40 range. I turned-off the computer, and restarted it. Just like last time the F.P.S. dropped to around 6-12 F.P.S.

 

I uninstalled the Standalone flash player and downloaded the older Adobe Standalone Flash Player 10.3 r183. The F.P.S is now playable, around the 10-20 range and I noticed a few changes. Firing "Thunder" with this flash player will leave no markings on the buildings, but the explosion is bigger now, the way it used to be before the upgrade. This is a tolerable F.P.S rate for me and I only hope it won't lower after I try it again after restarting the computer.

UPDATE ON THE UPDATE: I removed the regular and plug-in Adobe Flash Players. So far the Standalone Flash Player 11.4 continues to have a F.P.S. rate of around 30-50. I can still watch Youtube videos on the Google-based browser since it uses Adobe Shockwave, but otherwise I'm out of luck watching other videos.
