Ideas for Maps!

i have a very good idea can one of the experienced mapmakers please rely to me:)

Ok so here is how i imagined it:-the name will be cone,because it's shape is like a cone(only flat topped)the blue team will be at top,i'll get to reds later,players can move up and down using a bridge around the cone,and there will be 2 platforms on top(Exellent for defending snipers)once down there will be an open space,4 tunnels around the bottom of the cone,leading to a large place at the core of the cone,at the middle will be the red flag and where the reds will spawn,that's pretty much the basics,but there can also be a tunnel inside the cone if wanted

 

So if any of you liked my idea please vote to bring this map to life :D

As my last map was pretty big, I decided to make a smaller version of it, but not now.

 

However, here's my new map: Digsite

 

26x26, 33x33 including the grass & tunnels

omg this map is flawless,the grass should be cut down though it ruins the whole "dig" in this map

1. A map (kinda like Rio going horizontally) where one team spawns on the beach, and the other spawns on top of a hill. A cool prop to add to the game would be those "spike things" that get placed on the beach... Perhaps like Massacre, but uphill. (medium - large map)

 

2. A map at a border crossing, where there are tight corners in the center of the map, and more space away from the crossing station. There can be ramps to go on top of the station, lots of blown up tanks, and the narrow passageways like the ones on Future. (medium map)

1) Seems like a good Idea. Sorta get the idea but adding other prop would be much harder, just stick the with the props we got. 

2) I think I've made a map similar to your Idea, If I can find it. 

 

A map where one team starts exremely down hill, and the other extremely up hill.

A bit more detail other then up and down; team higher will most likely have an advantage.

Can somebody tell me the names of the props used for the base in island in the MDK? I plan on creating an animation in blender, for which I need to recreate island. I'm not really very proficient in AE and there are so many props that finding out by importing them in blender will take ages.

Have you ever came up with an idea for a new arena? This is the place to show it off! Type up a well written description of what you envision. Any visual model (like a picture) of the ideas layout would be most helpful in its future. If you’re confident in the idea and would like to pursue it yourself, you can create the map yourself with Alternativa Editor and TanksTestingTool! Interesting ideas and maps will attract attention from The Map Makers Club.

 

 

*Some Instructions on how to make maps*

 

AlternativaEditor has three large windows:

1) Where maps are created/edited

2) Displays the selected prop

3) List of loaded props

 

--Getting Started.

Of course you need the Editor and the library of props.(links bellow)Download them.

Then, follow these steps:

1)Open the Editor

2)At the top of the editor, select the option "Library"

3)Select "Load"

4)Open the folder that contains the props. (called 'library')

5)And select the props that you want to use, and click "OK"

Note: When you create a new map, you should have downloaded the folder "func" and opened in editor. Put a DM spawn (yellow) on the map. Without it, the card will not start.

 

--Controls

Z - rotate the object clockwise

X - rotate the object counterclockwise

W - raise object

S - lower object

Space - to place the object

 

 

--Camera

Numpad_8 - forward

Numpad_2 - back

Numpad_9 - up

Numpad_3 - down

Numpad_4 - left

Numpad_6 - right

Numpad_+ - zoom in

Numpad_- - zoom out

m - map rotation around its axis

 

--Additional features.

Ctrl + Z - cancellation

Ctrl + Y - redo

Ctrl + N - create a new map

Ctrl + I - open the map

Ctrl + T - save the map

Hello Tankers, my idea is that Tanki does a map like Duel   but also Tandem so that it can be comfortable for 2 v 2 Tandem battles.

So, I've been hammering away at this when time permits, and now I have something to show for it.  Not completely done yet, but a few screen shoots.

 

DISCLAIMER:

 

I know some of the buildings are not current, I have an idea for those.

 

I know some features are not currently implemented per say, I assume they can be made functional within the nature of my map.

 

I know it's really big.  That was the point.
