Whenever I open AlternavaEditor-light- it comes up with an error, why?

Post a screenshot of the error message. You unzipped AlternativaEditor.zip and extracted the contents, which include AlternativaEditor-light, which you tried to run but nothing would happen, correct?

I can't send a screen shot but this is what is says:

Show only good maps to newbies

 

Not only 2 of the most beautiful maps but silence and sandal are proven to be very effective in newbie adaptability

also cross was a great map for newbies as is atra.

 

I believe the mastering of the game mechanics hides in this 4 maps, if we prioritize them over other maps the newbies are playing in i think that tanki could keep in more players :)

Silence is indeed a good map, haven't really played that much on Cross though. Can't say anything about that.

I think Lost Temple should also have a place here. If someone can play well in Lost Temple's every situation, he can do well anywhere.

we must show them the best of the best. And yes lost temple is really good.

Maybe they think casual and core newcomers seeing very basic and symetric maps won't keep playing for too long.

 

I'd divide the map types into Basic, Regular and Advanced, for example regular being medium-large bordered maps you see in regular battles, adapted to balance of tastes of any player.

Sandbox is the simplest playable map so newbies should start with it. Island is just too small-bad for long range turrets.
