Ideas for Maps!

Sandbox is the simplest playable map so newbies should start with it. Island is just too small-bad for long range turrets.

Always hated Island. Needs specific turrets and hulls. If you don't equip those specific equipment, you'll lose!

Specific combo for Island = Viking Firebird/Freeze/Isida/Ricochet/Twins. It is a kinda noobish map because it does not work with Shaft.

Viking isn't good in Island. Island needs heavy hulls such as titan and mammoth. It doesn't work with all long range turrets, not only shafts.

Indeed, sandbox and boombox as sandal and silence are all great for teaching newbies the game mechanics :)

Silence encourages camping and is a very asymmetrical map. Not a good choice for beginners in my opinion.

We are talking about new players here. Camping is both a cheap strategy that does not win games (teaching poor tactics) and is also frustrating for beginners.

 

Besides, Silence's map design makes it very imbalanced. Blue team has a massive height advantage. IMHO it should be restricted to DM, ASL, CP, and maybe RGB. Not CTF or TDM.

This isn't an idea for a new map rather than making some subtle changes to some existing maps. 

Magnum has changed tanki battle forever we can all agree on that. Before Magnum any other turret especially longer range ones could hide behind buildings/walls safe until they wished to fire. Now though no matter what the range they can be hit, whereas Magnum especially on bigger maps can hide all battle behind a building/wall. 

My suggestion is that certain buildings on certain maps have covered roofs that enable you to have some protection from Magnum. Maybe even small pillbox type buildings could be added as well to some maps.

I'm currently making a map in where both of the bases are magnum-proof.

Supported amount of players: 4v4; 8 players total

Supported modes: DM, TDM, CP

Supported enviroments: Space

Supported gravity: Space

Yes, I still need to improve the textures but that's about it. Also the CP spawns don't show up in TTT :/

 

Critical will come later this week.

Trench

 

It will be a great Idea to map a map with Trench on both sides from where Magnum will attack each other. Vulcan and attack from long range and we can send wave after wave of teammates with Firebird, Thunder and Railgun or Railgun, Vulcan and Shafts will attack from above. Magnum will be in the Trenches and Short Range Turret players will go in the Wave. This can be new mode or just a map Depend on Developers decision.

The Russians do not want any part of World War 1. 

Then why don't you say them to remove tanks from the game because they was used first time in WW1 and they are part of WW1

You can't beat them anyway. They just walk backwards until you get tired and then they crush you
