Ideas for Maps!

Why now you are puted random in a map of your wanted tipe of game? I personally liked the method before that. It was better, in my opinion to choose the map on wich you played or to start your own game.

Devs tried to make it "better" by putting in a MM system. It was supposed to prevent a clan from placing mults/ going against randoms but MM is much worse than that.

I don't really have an idea for a map, more of a request for someone who has better knowledge of the map editor tool. 

 

Alright, so I really like canyon for the large variety in height/type of the different platforms and the tunnels.

 

I would like a map that is similar, but not as chaotic as canyon is. I'm thinking of the size being like lost temple. 

 

I just think it would be really cool if we had a bunch of tunnels and maybe a few large underground rooms. Kinda like subway, but not as flat and boring like subway is.

It's possible, but it would be very laggy to work with in the editor.

>Add water, actually add it, it is very cool, this game will become more popular with water

There is a water prop buried deep in the game files but it's nothing fancy, just a translucent water texture with no hitbox; it was most likely some kind of experiment. And for weather, it would be very demanding on the server and would increase lag.

Selecting maps

 

A lot of players were fond of the old system where you could specifically select the battle you wanted to go into. So I propose that an aspect of that old system be implemented into the newer system. When you select a game mode, you should be able to select a map and the game will attempt to place you into a battle on that map. And if the game cannot find a battle within a certain amount of time, then you will be placed into a battle on a random map.

 

I figure it would be a nice update because nearly every player enjoyed the freedom of choosing which map to battle on, and without this choice players are often placed in maps that do not suit the playing style that they desire.

You can already do that in pro battles.

But you can't complete missions and pro battles have the old fund distribution system, which sucks.

Yeah but Pro battles have too many advantages already so the funds distribution in MM Is a very good encouragement to play in MM battles. And it does suck that we can't complete missions in pro battles anymore, but I do understand why that ability was removed

One of the reasons for the MM is for better map distribution among the players and to get more players playing rather than waiting until an opening comes on a map of personal choice. This way, more maps are being used rather than some remaining empty. In Pro battles. less than half of the maps are even used. I've created battles on less used maps and either no one shows up or, if they do, they take one look around and leave without firing a shot. 

 

For instance, I like playing Magadan because of its hidden potential. Unfortunately, the only ones who show up are the Magnums. If I have supplies turned off, then I can expect to spend the next 30 or so minutes by myself or abandon the battle I created.

Playing the maps which give you the best k/d...

...because those maps are poorly made and should be removed from the game entirely.
