Ideas for Maps!

Archipelago Map

 

It appears there is only one gold drop zone in this map - the main Island with the large buildings. Please add a drop zone for each of the other islands - perhaps even add one on the small middle island to challenge parkouring skill.

Yes, that's true. The Archipelago map is unique. What I suggest is to have more split maps, which have empty spaces between them.

 

That does not mean that Archipelago would become a standard map. What I am asking for are for new maps that looks completely different from the Archipelago map but have one or more split areas so that enemies cannot get into your base by driving towards you.

Map will lose novelty if given numerous split maps. (However, the Old Camp needs to be a thing again). 

 

Instead, the developers should spend most of their time developing new and unique maps because all of the MMS maps follow the same trend and format (which is boring and repetitive)

Archipelago was created to be unique.

I think they should add new maps but with unique ideas ( not like Archipelago )

and they should add a big package of maps at once.

Why?

We got bored playing the current package of MM map , so i dont recommend for them to add a map by a map .. Just add more maps at 1 time so we can have fun .

Yeah, good suggestion BouDy. Developes could add a big package of maps. For example 20 maps. That would be 10 matchmaking maps and 10 pro battle maps.

 

I am not asking for maps like Archipelago, but rather maps that are different from all the other existing maps, which have split maps. What, I mean by split maps are maps that are divided by two or more smaller individuals sub-maps similar to Archipelago. The map design for split maps would need to look different than Archipelago.

 

New maps should follow new trends and design. New props would need to be designed from scratch to create brand new maps with novelty. Archipelago would not lose its novelty if more split maps are created with new looks and new props to differ the look of each newly created maps.

Unlikely. If this concept proves to be unpopular/unbalanced, the map will probably be removed completely. But if it's playable, then things like island size, amount of obstacles, number of islands, spawn points, etc. might be adjusted.

That would be very interesting. An obstacle course map such as a maze map would be cool. I would like to see a maze map in Tanki Online for a change.

 

Also a map with lots of high ramps would be very ideal for both matchmaking battles and parkourists. Jumping off ramps is fun, so a jump map would bring a new dynamic type of gameplay to matchmaking battles. I'd love to see such maps be developed for the game.

To add to their idea (which is cool with the water props - any experienced people here think they can recreate that?) the water should have the physics of space, with perhaps a bit more gravity. That would be fun, if you drive off a ledge you stay in the air a bit longer. It would have some interesting parkour effects. I can't tell if it's like this in the video, but the handling should be really drifty for all tanks, and everything should move a tad slower.

 

Just saw this and thought I'd put the idea out there again.

Or make an obstacle course map. Or simply a map where you have to make the jumps to get to the other side.

Makes it unfair to heavy hulls, so can't be added to MM considering you can't choose the map and therefore can't pick a hull that fits beforehand. This is likely one of the reasons why Monte Carlo isn't in MM, and why elements like that narrow tunnel in Future were removed.

 

But I'd love to see those kinds of features to be added back.

A maze map could be suitable in matchmaking battles only if its a full map where heavy hulls have wide enough spaces to move about. The maze map would have most sections that are (2 tiles = 10 meters) wide for passages that are free for two heavy hulls to drive pass each other like on 2 way drive roads such as motorways.

Sandbox II

 

Easy to make. Nuke the house in the red base.

 

Why? Sandbox is totally blue sided at the moment. You can win entire games in let's say "professional" XP/BP matches by camping there to spawnkill players of the red team.

 

It's a disastrous map design. That's why I would like a Sandbox II without the house!

What if they just simply removed the whole map instead?

@DieselPlatinum be like: Tactical Nuke! INCOMING! *gold box siren plays*. there's instant black box meteorite golds, then a nuke gold that kills everyone alive, but respawns everyone, and there is gonna be a race for the (lucky) black box.

 

@Maf be like: 

Declined

 

There won't be a whole new map copy added just because of that one house.

Me be like: I might as well play League of Legends if there is gonna be maps remove, let alone Sandbox

While definitely not Sandbox ll... I think the devs should consider adding a map similar to Sandbox, with the same dimensions and xpbp opportunity.
