This is a huge departure from my normal maps.  It is compact, small, and designed to be fast.  There is plenty of cover and avenues to shift paths and get away from lines of fire, but it can be just as fast to recapture your target and fire upon them.  Base areas have some, but little cover.  It was commented to me during the development stages that the bases were too small, and I might have to agree, but I wanted to stick to the form factor on the first release, the smaller foot print.

 

I intend to revisit this map and make an expanded version later (ie when I'm not feeling up to starting from scratch an entire map).  I think I will open up the bases in that one and add some additional structures, but that will be for a later date.

 

As a side not, filming WITHIN an enclosed structure poses a few complications that are unique to map videos, just fyi for the would be video maker in an enclosed map.

Just curious, is this plant inspired by plants from the Turbine location in the COD bo4 Blackout map. they seem similar.

No.  In fact, Tanki is the only game I've played for years now.  I have seen it played though, and I find it flattering that the limited graphics potential of libraries in Tanki could be arranged in such a way that my map would be likened to something like that.  I humbly say thank you, VERY MUCH.

The maps in COD (not so much in modern warfare...) are part of what make the game so much fun. They are designed very well. Many of them follow the 3 lane map design. I'm really curious how those COD maps would feel and play out in Tanki. Tanki has a open map design with many angles that cross the map. COD has a more sectioned map design that's often symmetrical. I have a feeling the COD maps could be a lot of fun. Maybe, maybe not. Maybe better with XP/BP or pro-rules? CTF probably isn't good, but siege and control would seem good. IDK. Just sounds like something to try out.

Several players have requested this before. I assume new maps will be placed in the pool of Matchmaking maps, but the time of when this will occur is unknown. Who knows - Maybe, in just a short time period, we will have new maps in Matchmaking?

Well, check legacy TO. He makes many and good MM maps feom maps.

very likely to never happen since tanki online isn't a war simulator and developers have priorities on other game updates than this, Regardless if tanki does decide to create a map i doubt they'd make something similar from real battle fields..

Ideas for Map!

- Add the Repin map as for the Tanki Birthday! This can be a Event mode during the Tanki birthday. Players can then stand on the pad and Jump!
Just like it was in Tanki X that is now closed.

I think that more maps should be added in the matchmaking system. For example maps that are no longer used by anyone and can only be played like pro battle. There are many maps that no one plays. So why  not adding them to mm. It will make the variety of the battles bigger. Thus it will be more interesting and fun to play different battle all the time rather than playing those few ones all the time. Adding more battlefields i the mm batt;es will make the game more fun.

Only map from this list that I think are good is Novel. Rest are just not suitable.

Why aren't they suitable. If they want to they can make every battle suitable for mm. Except of course battles like duel or so.

Gravity has that stupid feature that the map noise has. One team has the high ground while the other team has to spawn at the bottom.

Rift has to increase its size by at least 2.5 times to be suitable for a 16-20 player match.

And Camp just won't ever be suitable unless you completely redo everything. But by then it probably won't be recognizable.

(BE GENTLE. I have NO video editing software and the TTT tank runs a little slow and a little odd, doesn't handle great.)

 

Build of a urban spillway found in large metropolitan areas where flash flooding is mitigated by these artificial channels.  Features half height obstacles, uneven terrain, and limited cover.

This map had been sitting idle in my build library for some time and I decided I would dust it off, finish it, and post it.  It's not overly involved, but testing tool recording revealed that the even terrain and narrow corridors almost make up for the otherwise lacking cover.

One thought, Tanki needs more pipe related props (just saying).

YES. There are a lot of maps that with a slight or no justification can be turned into mm maps.
