could there be a change to deck 9 map so wasps cant hide flag on  the back side of the  building on the ledge?

it serves no purpose that i can see strategically  that  i can see and  it infuriates  both teams  also wasps will hide up there and wait for gold un-involved in the game and then drop down on gold when and if  it lands on the blue side with out any competition.

MAPS WITH WATER

Can we have more maps with water - ponds, lakes, rivers? It would add a new dimension to strategy (eg. waterfalls) and also make the maps look more scenic.

Right now it is only Rio that has water and its quite passive regd. battle strategy.

Eg. of a map - a river with waterfall and bridges. Tanks appear on either sides. Tanks can jump down waterfall - and lighter tanks will float (new benefit of a hull - I am not being selfish as I use mammoth). Maybe a new boat like hull could be added later. It adds so many possibilities.

SPACE MAPS

Maybe this is very difficult to do. But how about maps in Space

1. the tank can fire around planets and stars because of general relativity theory.

2. If a tank goes near a black hole it will get sucked in and be destroyed.

3. meteors can also attack tanks

4. a tank can climb on an asteroid and travel very fast across the battle field.

5. we already have the weightless environment in gravity maps

gravity map and magnum -

I am really annoyed with Magnums - So i am going to propose this for gravity maps which have weightlessness.

Since the magnum fires parabolic projectile - adjust the gravity for the projectile as well - so the magnum shot will never come down to hit us on those maps. hahaha.

it would be funny for april fools to  flood some of the maps that are flat so all you can see is the turrets sticking out. slow downs the tank speed by 50 percent with and without drugs.  bonus marks if you add waves

Shame that the underground bit is a dead end. I love actual underground areas on maps.

Should that area be a secret room? (btw that area is a self destruct zone in normal battles so people on red can't mult with the flag )

congrats on your 16k posts

Natural Mines In Maps

Since Tanki is set in a world with war raging everywhere for no apparent reason. I think that it'd be more logical to have at least 2-10 mines randomly spawn on the battlefield. That way players would have to be more cautious driving around. This can be toggled on and off in PRO-Battle mod. And maybe make them more likely to drop on Goldbox drop points :D

Mines appearing randomly without any reason? A bit strange but to be honest, since we don't even know how the war started, I don't think the idea is that strange when we take a look at the war itself.  :P

Achtung Minen!

LOL, such a funny idea. Imagine a Wasp Freeze circling around my Titan Shaft and then it explodes. Then I move forward and my Titan Shaft explodes too.

Bad idea. I didn't buy a Wasp M4 to then carefully creep around the map at the speed of a mammoth, watching out for random mines. Sure, adding "minefields" adds a new element to gameplay, but it doesn't make the game more fun. It will just cause people to flip more often and lowers the dynamics of gameplay.

I didn't say mines shouldn't be planted everywhere..I also didn't say there should be a lot of them :D

In that case I will occasionally find myself setting off a random mine and flipping or dying at the least convenient times. There's no improvement to gameplay from this - just pure frustration.

I'm asking what's good about random mines laying around the map? What's the benefit from it? Just because it's a novelty doesn't automatically mean that it's good.

The concept of this idea was to add some background to the maps. Since Tanki is set in a war-stricken world. It's only natural that there be some mines laid around here and there. They aren't suppose to be beneficial, like player set mines they're supposed to destroy any tank that steps on them. So think of these randomly laid mines as monuments of war. They aren't supposed to change gameplay. And like I said they aren't supposed to spawn in large amounts, maybe 2 per map. Maybe the mines shouldn't even spawn randomly, but instead have a fixed spawning spot on every map, so that players would know that there is a mine on that road, or another on that bridge etc. so they'd be more careful treading on that path. Natural mines could also be a characteristic of Massacre. Since it looks pretty much like a minefield.

Planted mines no, but mines could be dropped as other supplies in boxes, with the difference that if you touch it it explodes. Random drops, open areas.

Well, we already do have an almost identical mechanic. You may notice that on a lot of the maps there's outside areas with signs displaying a skull and crossbones. This is meant to be exactly what you suggest - a pre-placed minefield that destroys any tank that goes there. This is good, since it blocks players from going outside of the playable area in a sensible and somewhat realistic way. But with your idea all it's gonna do is make people frustrated when they blow up on a mine, the location of which they forgot about.
