Ideas for Maps!

I looked at old videos from this map, and it seems that the amount of cover and the overall shape of the bases ha remained the same through the years. I'm honestly not sure why they made them assymmetrical, but I feel like both bases have unique tactical advantages.

Like what "unique tactical advantages" does the team with less cover have over the other team?

They get more opportunities to practice their "hiding in plain sight" tactic

The "hide in bushes" tactic you mean?

Lies! Lies, I say!

You don't have to take my word for it, just go in an MM version of Brest in PRO battles and youll see for yourself.

Nah, more like the "stand-so-perfectly-still-that-you-become-invisible-to-the-naked-eye" tactic by Drax the Destroyer

Great map! I like the first seconds of the video as you are recording the long pipe

Apart of that the map looks nice imo, I like the use of hills in that map, keep it up!

That's big and complex, I like it! On which TTT you made that map? I want to test it sometime

Looks pretty nice too, I've seen that bushes are a common problem for you and restarting the editor won't help

What I could recommend to you is to place the bushes one space up so you can see where you are going to place them, then click on a bar above that says "Selecting prop: All" and select Sprites, select all the bushes and take them one level down

Halloween 2019

hqdefault.jpg

Video

(BE GENTLE. I have NO video editing software and the TTT tank runs a little slow and a little odd, doesn't handle great.)

What more to say, Halloween, 2019, it is what is is, you know what I mean.

Notes

Terrain, buildings, trees, all Halloween, dark, creepy, and a few pumpkins thrown in for effect..

Thoughts

Sprites could have been a little more plentiful, but map was running slow, I assume for the varying levels and the window angles involved rendering in motion, so decided not to complicate the map.  It's for killing each other on holiday, no point in going over board.

Wow I think the ideas in this topic are surprisingly good, some would actually be really good imo

Well, truth be told, there is some real talent here (and I'm not necessarily including myself in that, Viking and Adriel has been at this even longer than I).

It's a shame there is no venue by which there could be a yearly, or quarterly even, submission process, to keep players even more engaged, and adding variety to to the game constantly, in at least something new to look at and drive around in.  There are at least 4 people here that could make maps up to snuff for introduction, and those are the ones that bother to post here, I sure there are tinkerers out there that are really good too.

I think speak on the behalf of most, if not all here that post, at the very least we thank you for NOTICING.

Vecindad

Video

(BE GENTLE. I have NO video editing software and the TTT tank runs a little slow and a little odd, doesn't handle great.)

Depiction of a Mexican "Vencindad", urban neighborhood, as one might find in Mexico City.  Little in the way of plants and fauna, but a park with some trees, and a small commercial strip as well.  Tenement style housing with courtyards and various manners in ingress and egress are the primary structures though with a boulevard running through the middle of the map.

Notes

Deceptively large, this map is actually a difficult map to play and has many opportunities for stifling a flag run.  The key of course would be to use the constant a varied paths along the way to confuse and lose pursuers.

This map had been scheduled for the Day of the Dead, but was released late by a few days.

Thoughts

I had been looking forward to making Latin urban map for sometime, and this month, with the Day of the Dead, seemed like a perfect opportunity to release it.  Take away from this make, we need more COM build skins.

Map "Collision":

This map reminds me of Lost Temple and MAsscre put together and reduced.  It's looks like a fast map.  Good work as always with the images.
