And I would rather spend the 10k or more and weeks/months of my time on another game since I didnt buy as much worth of crystals. Imagine that the laptop managed to make a much better, much stronger version of the "better" laptop.

It is an improved m3 version, much stronger than the old.

 

So, they give you back what you paid for for the old version of the better laptop.

And they allow you to buy back the "m2" laptop, which has the same power as the old "m3" laptop.

 

If you want to get the much more powerful version, first you must work hard to earn the money for it, which most fair tankmen will do.

 

It is not illegal, because in essence, it is a total refund, because <<New M2>> = <<Old M3>>.

 

The old and new laptops are not the same at all.

They are rich but why they can't repair a simple thing such as lag ? We are their customer , they should do the best thing to us after we have donate so much to them . But what do they do ? Lag still happened , they up price of Tank and Weapon for what ? Want us to donate you more after we have donate you so much ? Tanki 2.0 canceled why ?!

Tanki cannot take goods away and replace a inferior one with it.

Is it against the law that the 6 pack of lucozade which I bought yesterday is now a 4 pack and is sold as the same product - it previously being "50% extra free"? Or how my kellogg's variety pack, which I used to love because of the way in which it had "Crunchy Nut" included, now contains "Bran Flakes" instead? Are they against the law? How come they have not been stopped from stocking these products in mainstream supermarkets then?

 

I know I used brands which are familiar to myself, and may not be familiar to you. Add to the fact that there is no evidence that your new goods are inferior (technically they have greater hp and speed) or that Tanki are saying that it is the same product which they provided pre-rebalance, and you're in a pretty poor legal position.

Tanki has the right to withdraw products and to change prices. There is nothing you can do about it. I personally (although i was set for life before with my garage) like the rebalance as it makes things more equal. Isida and firebird can still pwn now, while as before, that was only wishful thinking.

No its not against the law because it only affects new buyers, if you already bought it you keep it, if you want more then it your choice whether you still want to buy. Im sure they did not storm into your house taking your purchases away and replacing them with inferior versions.

Hornet anyone? They made it a slow POS now it feels like a mammoth even on drugs. So now i have to use wasp so i dont sleep while playing just because all the other tanks are slow mammoths. So much logic in having a old boxy obsolete looking tier one tank that was supposed to be the recruits tank be faster than the sleek and futuristic looking hornet. Also its tall and narrow so high centre of gravity=easy to flip. Devs really need to swap the stats on these 2 tanks. This is my no.1 reason i hate rebalance since hornet with nitro was the main reason why i play tanki anyways. TBQH the increased prices dont affect me in any way because by refunding all the slow viking crap and tier 1 crap i was able to afford what i wanted anyways.

I, as many tanki users, have expressed negative views on the rebalance, these have been outlined in detail on this and other treads dealing with the subject. Moving forward here are a number of suggestions & points to the developers that would begin to restore my trust in the game and would encourage me to continue to fund your site.

1 > I have no objection to the rebalance in principle, However, I do object strongly in the way in which it was enacted.

2 > Tanki should invest more into customer relations, The only Tanki input on the forum seems to be non paid mod's with no power to effect any change and who's sole purpose seems to be to "give a hard-line party line". No visual customer consultations where done prior to the rebalance. The only poll re the rebalance was on your facebook page (63% against last time I looked). The fact that many customers expressing negative views on the rebalance where banned for very minor issues, while those who support it have been allowed continue to make insults and personal attacks on those with a different viewpoint is troubling. While I'm tempted to expand this point, perhaps its best to avoid politics and cultural differences.

 

3 > The recent Hull adjustment, did a lot to improve game play, as personally the speed reduction after the rebalance made the game unplayable for myself. I still think the mammoth turn rate needs to be improved.

4 > As I understand more gun adjustments are to be made, as some are clearly overpowered. However, in order for players to have confidence in this game, If any hull or Gun setting is adjusted, players who own these items should be refunded, giving them the option to look at the new specs before deciding to buy the same weapon/hull or another one.

5 > Restore the cap on the rank to which you can buy experience, Do a poll on what the players think this should be set at.

6 > Reduce M3 prices, I actually think the game would make more money, currently they are so unaffordable very few players will buy more than one. Actually I think the way in which the old prices were set was quite clever, as each new item was only a little more expensive than the last, it kept you in the buying trap lol. Now with all the M3's so highly priced, well mentally you could never justify spending that much to get the full set on something that just exists in cyberspace. Of course some players might say "I don't buy" Well great, personally I might only play the game one or two hours a week, sometimes more, other time not all, so buying only option two check out new weapons, etc.

7> Fix the Game, 80% of the time I try to load into a battle it doesn't work, then when you do manage the lags!! think how much money you guys are losing, its crazy. You have a faulty product, fix it, for your own sakes and profit.

8 > Lower the M2 & M3 availability re ranks, having worked to unlock these items before by rising through the ranks, only to have spend hours & hours of game play to unlock something you already had!!, not exactly exciting.

9 > Finally, and As I write I'm sure this will not happen, once all the minor adjustments to Hulls/Guns have been made after the rebalance you should send every customer an email expressing how sorry Tanki is for its failure to communicate with its customers in a professional and respectful manner. It should go on to say how you understand that customers who feel their property was taken from them only to be replaced with items of lesser value have been badly treated, As instead of having their concerns answers by explaining new weapon specs re old in detail, I.e old M3 = New M2, etc and that more adjustments will be made in answer to customer concerns - they where told "like it or lump it, its all in accordance with our Tanki rules". (FYI My understanding of contract law is the user must visually see your T & C, before accepting, but I'm sure you know what there are doing). And it should say tanki will re do the rebalance as hull/Gun adjustments have been made since 16 Dec and give folks the option of making an informed purchase based on the current set up (After the snag list is complete).

>Personally I feel the rebalance was calculated action to raise income for Tanki, taken in the full knowledge they would lose many existing customers, but in the hope increased income from new and remaining customers would more than compensate for that loss. I as one off the old paying customers who decided I'll keep playing, just never spend real money on the game again feel that if tanki where to take some of the points outlined above and across this forum on-board, they could regain customer trust and make folks like me have the confidence to buy again.

Tanki now has 18,000,000 members. At most 70,000 can be online at once (2500 x 28 servers.) We see the results of this - sever reboots, lags and just issues logging in.

Something had to radically change to keep things going; the number of players/server and even servers has increased at the pace of signing up. I'm guessing that "ranked" players spend a lot less money that "ranking up" noobs, especially if they can modify the game to easily add another 10,000,000 players and retain/improve service levels.

I, for one, am hoping that the rebalance (and the added scope for new players to spend money and rank up will:

• lead to infrastructure investment that helps the game to scale and grow without these issues and
  
• give me a lot more high-rank, low skill buyers to act as cannon fodder when I feel the need for a slaughter-fest :)

But that means that 99.2% of players are lower rank than me.

So if some of the top 0.8% (who have spent their money already) leave, what are the consequences for Tanki, and for the lower ranked players (including me!)?
