Titan > Mamoth

I played with both titan and mamoth after rebalance. I found that unlike mamoth, titan is not just a camping hull. At m1 titan's speed is 4 whereas mamoth crawls at 3.4, one thing which must be noticed is rotation speed where titan beats mamoth again, 42 vs 27.

 

HP difference(m1) : 200(mamoth) - 190(titan) = 10 is not a big difference but speed difference is considerable including rotation speed, which make Titan a very good choice for thunder, at m2 titan is deadliest hull with the hp of 292 and speed of 5.3 as compared to 4.4 speed and 300 hp of mamoth.

 

When we talk about Capturing the flag, titan's speed with nitro is 8 which is enough to take flag back home, on the other hand mamoth's speed with nitro would be 6.8.

 

So titan can also be used for CTF, and ofcourse DM, TDMs.

 

Though at m3, mamoth gets a huge boost with both hp and speed but its for those people who are going to play till that rank(Generalissimo) and can spend lot of money. I have no such kind of plans.

What you said is true but you missed one thing, Mammoth gets maximum bonus from protective paints and drugs.,So m2 mammoth is good for druggers, and for DM's. Drugging mammoth's are much Stronger than Drugging Titans.

titan is better overall only between m0-m2, specially at m2. For only 10 hp you get 0.9 more speed wich is huge. But m3 mammoth is better than m3 titan, so no, isn't a waste of crystals at the end of the route. The trap here is if you can play happily with your titan just until commander, but at generalissimo rank, you'll need to buy mammoth (over 30k) or get owned. It's up to you, get owned at low rank, get owned at high rank or ...buy crystals.

When you are talking about two competing tank like mamo and titan two perspectives emerge .

 

Titan m2 a bit more expensive unlocks 2 ranks later than m2 mamo ..

 

This is very complex to decide for people below that rank .

No. Titan turret is right in the middle of its large long hull. This means that you will take more time to crawl out, shoot, then crawl into cover again. This will mean that playing peekaboo with a faster tank with both using thunder will make you lose because the other faster thunder can shoot you as you pop out slowly and duck back in again

You need not to do peekaboo with a strong hull like titan, it has sufficient hp to keep it alive for a long time. Moreover, thunder shot doesn't take long time to hit like railgun, so if other thunder is doing peekaboo, it won't save him. Peekaboo will work against railgun only and we can't judge a hull by considering just one scenario, we need to keep bigger/general picture in mind.
