Um i can tell you what NOT to read.

the Great Gatsby is depressing. hated that one.... and dont watch the old movie. Myrtle still scares me...

Fahrenheit 451 is pretty awful...

The Odyssey is pretty decent. Never read the whole thing we just summarized bits and peices...

Huck Finn.... not terribly terrible.... not my favorite

I read Charlotte's Web when i was like 8... so i dont remember if i liked it.

The Giver.... gave me a headache...

Read Black Beauty when i was younger... dont remember what it was about. ithink i only read it because i liked the cover.....

Wrinkle in Time.... confusing.... just like the giver.

the awakening... was okay..... it had a pretty terrible ending though... ugh

Oedipus Rex.... good story.... we were told a shortened version not sure about the full book...

Walden.... I read a bit of it for an American Romanticism unit at school...

Im harsh on classics. i prefer modern books.....

I gave my reviews on books i read on the first 5 pages of this site:

no problem school ciriculum makes us have to read a bunch of classics. hope i helped. sorry im critical....

I don't care if your critical. I just need to start reading some classics because they ask lots of questions about them in Scholar's Bowl.

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief Serios too.

I've read that series. Loved it sooooooo much.

Two words for you, Dedog1. CLIFF NOTES. Don't waste your time with all the little things like plot, theme, character development, blah, blah, blah. Why spend HOURS reading some dusty old book when you can be playing Tankionline. For just a few dollars you can have all the Classic Literature of the World in your hand. I read War and Peace in less than two hours. That includes time for snack breaks and playing Grab My Sock with the cat. Do yourself a favor and spend more time practicing Creative Loafing and less time reading about fictional characters created by people that have long since gone to that OLD BOOKSHELF IN THE SKY.

Any of Jane Austen's books. The Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit. The Chronicles of Narnia.

I also like more modern books like: Artemis Fowl, Ranger's Apprentice, The Hunger Games, Harry Potter and Percy Jackson...any of those.

Me nether i don't actually know but i'll give you an estimate...

Nobody!!!

Except him...

Books open the mind. They for people of great imagination and patience who can see the story laid out in their heads instead of watching it on a little screen that deadens your brain.

Books are a source of entertainment for the truly refined. They are elegant and will last forever, continuing on through many generations. Don't you even dare tell me that nobody likes books! I enjoy them as my primary source of entertainment.

Books are only boring to those who have destroyed the patience of their minds with too many video games and too much TV.

Yeah to be honest i don't play that much video games and such but mostly spend my time thinking what am i going to do tomorrow

Today i thought...

What am i going to eat now

What am i going to destroy now

and in this regard its books....

I mostly spend my time thinking what am i going to do tomorrow

Sunday: Mmmhh what am I going to do tomorrow? Umm I will think about what I'll do the next day.

Monday: Mmmhh what am I going to do tomorrow? Umm I will think about what I'll do the next day.

Tuesday: Mmmhh what am I going to do tomorrow? Umm I will think about what I'll do the next day.

Etc.

You should spend more time in the present moment than thinking about tomorrow. You will be happier.

I don't think you think about what you'll do the next day all the time. You just think you do.
